Good morning ladies,

I was so tired yesterday; I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon! I also was out like a light around 8 a.m., I needed that sleep. I had no energy yesterday. My sinus is starting to act up again, that doesn’t help. The weather here in Germany isn’t helping either, one day is hot the next is raining. WTH! I was gonna run outside today, have to go to the gym to get my run in.

Amelia, good for you quitting your job if you are not happy! WTG, on your calorie burn yesterday.

Trish, we all get busy, just check in when you can. Let’s do it together, with the clean eating. You are doing the 3 month STS rotation, right? How do you know what weight to pick up, if you barley did your 1RM?

Cookie, you are sweet! Did you check out the sleep number beds? I love mine! Hope you had fun with PH yesterday.

 
Hallo ladies,

I just got done with my workouts! I burned over 1200 calories; I also don’t fell my legs anymore. I went to the gym did CCV6, as I was leaving the gym my DH diver’s wife showed up (she teaches Zamba glasses in the gym), so I thought ok I will watch it for a little bit. LOL! The girl is only 19 years old; she said I should give it a try. So I did! I was sweating my butt off. She was moving her butt so fast, I couldn’t get my$$ to move like hers, lol! I do have to admit, I had a lot of fun and I was sweating my butt off.

I still have to somehow squeeze in some abs, not sure when I will do them today? I am so bopped!

Oh my Belinda....I feel so bad for you! I hope your sinuses don't give you the grief they give you a little while ago! If you didn't need them, I would tell you to have them removed;) Like my tooth! LOL

Ameila** Glad to hear you dealt with your work situation! Are you hoping to get a FT jos this fall?

Cookie** Yes, I took a rest day yesterday. I thought about going for a run but I was alittle sore and people drive to fast around here.

Trish** I haven't been the best at checking in lately either. When I am hope with DS, I can't get on the computer and when I go to work, my boss is usually there before me!:mad: Times are tough!:(

So I am heading home today. Its not even 8:30 and I am already showered. I fell asleep last night with DS so I had quit the snooze. I woke up sometime in the middle of the night to chance into my pjs!

I really need to clean up my eating, starting today and I am not even getting on the scale for a couple of days! I am also going for a nice run when I get home!

Lori, glad to hear you're human. I have seriously wondered about that.
Belinda, hope those darn sinuses clear up immediately. I've heard wonderful things about Zumba, but never did make it to a class. A teacher I know just loves it - she was even interviewed in an article about the classes. Haven't checked out sleep number beds - I'm still recovering from sticker shock from the Serta perfect sleeper line. It's obviously been a while since I bought a mattress.
My daughter came home from her trip this morning. We had to drive an hour to pick her up at 2 am, and then drive home again. Needless to say, it really did a number on my sleep. Am going to have to skip my wo this am, and hope to get it in this evening.

Lori-enjoy your run today! Im not sure if i can take on a fulltime job right now, i have to work around DH and the kids schedule...I come last:rolleyes:. Im going to send out my resume hoping for a part-time opening, unless i can find a fulltime position that doesn't interfer with everyone's schedule. There is an opening where my DH works for mon's & tuesdays....:eek: Im not sure if I can work with DH;)

Cookie-Im glad you guys made it safely home last night. Enjoy whatever workout you do later!

Trish-Enjoy your rest week this week! I took about 6days off last week from weights and it was SO NICE!! Im sure you will get your eating under control...for me,once im over the first day it gets easier. Im still logging my cals at myfitnesspal. Have you tried that website yet?

Debbie-How are you today? What workout is planned?

Today my rotation calls for Legs. Im doing MIS then a lower body workout i found on youtube. Its nothing fancy but im sure after doing mis i will feel it:confused:. I have to tell myself 'no cardio' today,lol

Cookie, I am so fried right now, that Zumba kick my butt today. You should give it a try. Hope you get your workout in today. Glad you safe at home!

Amelia, my legs feel like jello right now! Not sure why I did a Zumba class today? I am getting crazier with age! LOL!

Debbie, now I know what a Zumba class is! It’s a lot of fun. The only problem I have, I am getting to old for that stuff, lol!

I need to get dinner started, I also have to make more protein pancakes! BBL!
 
workout done as planned. It took me about 40mins in total. Burned 318,not too bad,im pleased. I didn't like that youtube workout too much...it looked kinda fun but i didn't really feel anything. Probably won't do it again:rolleyes:. I can't wait until cathe releases that traveling band workout, i will use it as add-ons after my weight workouts;) Im trying to buy bodyfusion for the add-on section thats on it. It really burns ya

Belinda-LOL...your funny! what exactly is Zumba? Is that like that shimmy workout?

Good morning girls,

Yesterday I was too tired and didn't workout. Today, I did bootcamp at the gym. I'm joining the club, my eating has been terrible. I'm trying to stay focused on clean eating today!!

The wedding was a lot of fun. The only bad thing it took us 6 hours from our house to NYC (St. Patrick's Cathedral) to Long Island (reception):mad:. We sat in bumper to bumper traffic and when we finally arrived at the hotel, it was rush, rush. Poor DH but he wouldn't hear of me helping w/driving:rolleyes: What was really fun was they had a DJ along with a drummer & trumpet player so it was different. The cocktail hour was 1 1/2 hours, the food was really good:) Too many blueberry martini's though . . . I thought it would be healthy:eek:

Belinda - Zumba is my new favorite workout. I hang in the back of the class so no one see's me. Send some protein pancakes our way . . . or at least the recipe;)

Lori - Wow, I'm impressed you did great in your race, all your hard work paid off!!!! You deserve a rest week:eek: Do you get DOMS after your race?

Amelia - Working with DH could be tough. My DH works with his family and it is hard. Maybe if your are in separate areas it won't be too bad:) Have fun with legs today.

Trish - I find the days go by so much quicker in the summer:confused: it's so hard to get everything in. Clean eating is hardest in the summer even though there are so many more choices of fruits & vegetables but too many social events, vacations etc. . .

Cookie - You must be so tired today:( Have you decided how you are traveling to the road trip? I'm thinking about arriving between 1 - 2PM. Check-in is at 3PM but maybe they'll let us in the room early. I have a feeling this weekend will be a lot like my last weekend rush, rush:)

Afternoon Girls,

Today's wo was CCV6. I forgot this was the one that had so many sprints which is always tougher on the knees. Anyhow, it didn't go too bad...I went for 46 mins, burned 493 cals and completed 6.6 miles. Yesterday was DD's bday...she's 7YO and I'm trying to get things ready for a party @ NYSC this weekend (the NYSC by near us has lots of kid activities). The theme is Dance TV so the kids are going to be rocking out to High School Musical, Hannah Montana, etc. Should be fun, but the planning is a pain:rolleyes:.

Belinda - Great job on your major cal burn, girl! If only I could burn like that every day, I could eat whatever I wanted:) Yup, I'm doing the 3-month STS rotation. Actually, I did all of my 1RMs, but decided that they were too heavy after injuring my shoulder and xyphoid and scaled back on them. I am using the 1RMs as a guide, but don't usually do what was calculated (except on lighter weight stuff like kickbacks). When I said I barely did my 1RMs, I meant I could barely do my 1RMs..LOL:)

Lori - I'm with you on eating clean. Maybe we should start a clean-eating check-in:) Oh wait, there might already be one...I dunno. Enjoy your run tonight.

Cookie - Where was DD traveling from? 2 AM pick up...I would be too zonked to even do a wo in the evening. Good luck with that. Hope today is low key for you for work.

Amelia - Nice cal burn today. Sorry you didn't like your wo. I really hate when I try something new and it just doesn't do it for me:(. I log my cals on a program on my phone. It's similar to myfitnesspal, but I find it to be more convenient for me. Unfortunately, when I'm eating poorly I don't log my cals:confused: (what kind of cheat do you think I am:p) But, I will get it together. When I met Cathe at the Eggland event she mentioned that she allows herself 200 cals of anything she wants (usually a brownie!) every day. If I can get on track for a month, I might try doing something like this. My biggest issue is when I allow myself to have a cheat meal, I can't seem to stop so when I'm not cheating, I usually do my best. Anyhow, it's a challenge.

Deb - Wow, you're eating bad, too...we've got to pull it together. You're right all of these summer events are doing us in:). Yup, NYC traffic is the worst. Sometimes it makes you want to never leave NJ. Glad you had fun at the wedding;)

Hey there! Sounds like we could do our own clean eating check in here - I sure need it. I'm making coffee cakes to take to work tomorrow, and hope all they get there.
Well, it doesn't look like I'm going to get in my wo. My DD came back early this morning from a three-week trip to Europe, and now one of my son's is coming home to visit her, do laundry, and see trip photos. Of course, I think he's really wondering what sovenirs she picked up. I'm dragging from having my sleep so disrupted last night. Tomorrow I have a speaker coming and will have to leave early to be sure we're all set for it, then it's a full day of meetings, and a late afternoon one. Thursday is a similar schedule, and all I'm thinking is I have to get ready to get tortured at Cathe's. Haven't even had a chance to read over the packing info! Maybe it's 'cause I'm afraid of what it might say...
Deb, I'm going to drive, and I'll try to get there between 1:30 and 2. Which hotel is it? I am so excited to finally "see" you! Isn't this amazing?
Trish, hey now I can really relate to you. If my eating were good, I'd probably look decent. Instead, whenever I'm stressed, tired, bored, or aggravated, I eat. And not veggies or fruit.
Amelia, are you taking after Lori and doing multihour workouts lately? More after MIS? Geesh, I'm tired thinking of it. I could never work with my DH. He's okay to live with but 24/7?!!! He's incredibly easy going, I just prefer to have some space. I just asked him, and he said he wouldn't mind if we worked together!
Lori, isn't it hard with toddlers. Sorry the little guy and work are getting in the way of your checking in. Did you get in your run? Do you get doms from running?
Belinda, how are your sinuses now? Are you drinking a lot of water? I'm cringing at the price of mattresses. My DH always says I'm going to nickel and dime him into bankruptcy, 'cause spending money on my fitness toys and dvds doesn't scare me, but one larger item, and I'm like oh no, we can't possiblly need that.
Iris, what's up with you? Is everything okay? Can you believe we haven't had a drop of rain yet today? it may be the first day that I can remember in a long time without any precipitation. What are you doing lately?

Hi Everyone. I am new to the world of Forums & am committed to getting Lean & Fit. I just left a post & saw it was time for "check ins & challenges". To keep it short - in wk 2 of STS Meso 1, incorporating BFL cardio&diet plan. LOVE Cathe's challenging workouts. Biggest Struggle is diet - portion size. I love my food. BUT am determined to be disciplined & GET RESULTS. The calorie burn #s I have read here are so inspiring!
