******cLEAN and tidy Thursday*****

Good Morning!

How's everyone doing this morning? What do you have plannned for today? I'm on my way to work and I have my cLEAN meals and snacks ready to go. :) I'm not too sure if I'll be able to check in from work. It depends on how busy it is. I hope everyone has a great day! :)

s-orange, cottage cheese
d- we'll be at my boys' basketball banquet; so I'm sure it won't be too clean. I plan on eating a larabar on the way. I have to teach 2 classes before I go.

Good morning Shirl and all to follow!

I have some SERIOUS DOMS from my workout yesterday, and I am TIRED. I got 7 1/2 hours of sleep last night, so I'm not sure what's up with that. I'm probably just adjusting to not having my afternoon nap now that I am back at work!

Here is what I am planning for today...

B cereal or oatmeal
S cheese, wheat crackers, apple slices
L grilled chicken and veggies
S banana and protein bar
D chicken pasta, green beans
LOTS of water

Rotation calls for IMAX2 today, not sure if I am feeling up for it or not, but I will give it a shot!

PS-Kate, I weighed this morning (I usually weigh every day) and my weight is back down to 137.5 from 139 yesterday. Scales are so ridiculous, don't even think about it!

Shirl, Have fun at DSs banquet - how fun! BTW, my grpcery store carries Larabars. I split the cashew cookie kind w/ my sisters and it was pretty good! Need to try the other ones. THis chocoholic has to know though: Is the choc. one any good?

Katie, I'm STILL feeling DOMS from my weights this weekend. My weight is still the same..grrrrr. Oh well, my tummy's lookin good, so I'll roll w/ it. Good luck w/ Imax2!

Kate, if your body is lookin' good, then I agree -- roll with it. I find it hard to believe that you are really gaining -- you always eat super-clean IMHO!

IMAX2 kicked my sore butt! I died somewhere between interval 7 blast / interval 8 step. I didn't quite finish the whole thing, but I did really good considering.

I will finish up tonight w/cardio & weights abs.

Hello cLean peeps!

jeez, its freezing here today, i know its Canada, but its -20 without the windchill! My dog looked at my like i was nuts, i ended up carrying her most of the walk, poor little thing.

Great meals and workouts planned!

Shirl, have fun tonight, it does sound pretty fun. Has your back been giving you any trouble lately?

Katie, Imax 2 is fun, glad you did it. I find once i start, it goes quickly. Blast 9 will near kill your aching butt though!

Kate, if you feel good, you're body is changing. give it another week and see.

Well last night i did LIS, then did the leg drills from KM, and B&G standing work and abs. What the hell was i thinking? My butt is screaming this morning. Tonight, MM, i'm feeling a twinge in my right shoulder from GS on Tuesday, so i'm going to be careful and watch that.
I put my calories etc into the daily plate yesterday, and realize i need more protein and fat. I'm thinking of adding some more stuff to my diet, have to figure out what!

Katie I rather guest my weight by checking to see how my cloths fit or how my ring fits. If my ring stone slides to the side of my finger, I'm doing good, but if it's too tight...

Today I did Legs and Glutes, because I don't have B&G yet.

Kate My DH ate the chocolate Larabar I had but he said it was like a chocolate brownie. He asked me when I was going to get more. He usually doesn't like bars.

Katie, No worries about not finishing Imax2. A PT told me that after 45 minutes of cardio your body starts to burn muscle instead of fat. Anyone know anything more about this?

Steph - You're pretty dedicated to go walking when its so cold outside! I NEVER walk my dogs! Tell us more about your plate....Someone on another forum posted something similar recently.
My shoulder gets funny sometimes too, but oddly enough its after heavy CHEST work.

I love L&G!! I admore those of you who can eat just 1/2 a bar. I always end up finishing it off!

Well, my breakfast was usual wheat chex & apple. Had banana and peanuts (unsaltedx( ) for snack. The rest of my day is TBD because....

WE'RE ON THE ROAD FOR VACATION!!!
We're just going overnight but hey, its getting away, right? We're going to Boyne Mtn. Typically people go there to ski, but we're going tubing. The girls are so excited - they were so obnoxious while I was trying to pack this morning. grrrr.

I brought 4DS KB and HiLo for some cardio tonight and tomorrow AM. Per the rotation I'm supposed to do B&G today, but I have a feeling my arse is gonna be killing me as it is from climbing a sledding hill all day. I don't feel like I really need 2 leg workouts in the week so I think I'll just add some cardio to my day.

Well, I may or may not get a chance to check in for a while. See you gals later!
 
Steph, that is funny about the doggie. My pug NEVER wants to walk, regardless of weather conditions. He just usually poops in my house!x( Good luck figuring out how to modify the diet!

Robin, I am having to improvise with the lower body weight work also because I only have a few. I think L&G should be fine.

Colleen, those chocolate brownie Larabars are YUMMY! Wish they weren't so expensive...

Kate, have a good time with the family! I usually try to do 3 45 minute cardio sessions per week, as opposed to 2 longer sessions -- works better for me. That's interesting what your PT said, though.

Body is STILL aching, I am having a cocktail of water and 600 mg ibuprofen every 4 hours. I am sort of scared to do GS BBS tomorrow already being this sore!

My work day thus far has been busy and productive, hopefully the afternoon will be the same.

Not as hungry today, keeping it really clean!

Hey Katie, Sounds like you're having a good day. I like your cardio plan! I know I have more energy going 45 min instead of 60+. Sorry you're so sore!

My lunch was good today. Grilled chicken salad w/ tidy cheat of banana bread. I couldn't resist and hey, I'm on vacation! I'm gonna burn it all off on the sledding hill anyway! Except now we're sitting in the truck for another 2 hours....yuck.

DDs want my laptop to watch a DVD we rented for them. See ya later!

Katie, i try to walk my dogs at least 3x/day, otherwise they'd wreck my house!! DH works evenings, so its feasible for us. Unless its -20!!

Robin, kicking ass with workout and food today! I'm going to get some fibre one bars now, brown cloud and all!

Sorry about your DOMS Katie, but you will be ok next week. My arms feel like lead so I'm glad I will not have do upper body until Monday.

I'm now eating my clean and tidy lunch, so far so good.

I'm glad tomorrow is a rest day for me, I'm tired too.
 
Hi Ladies!

Happy dance - my P90X+ dvd's arrived! I was so excited to see a package on my porch when I got home from work! I have about an hour before I have to leave for my afternoon classes. I might preview one of them before I leave! I had a large cookie and some delicious Australian black licorice. At least my meals were clean.

Colleen, I've tried the chocolate mole' larabar and it was good(chocolate and cinnamon). My Dad loves the chocolate coconut.

Kate, Have fun!!! It sounds like it will be a blast.

Katie, GS Chest and triceps is a toughy; you always know you worked out after that one.

Robin, Keep up the good work! ^5 Have fun "sharing the love".;)

Steph, You walk the dogs 3x a day! Your dogs must love it. You must be accustomed to the cold. It's 10 here today and I am sooo cold.

Steph - No cabin. There'a a hotel/lodge we rented. In our room DDs will have their own room (hey, it's my vacation too!}( ) adn there's a kitchen and a fireplace (ooh lala!!!). We should be there in about an hour and my keester's killin' me!!! Your meals always amaze me. Btw, my RD-friend is pregnant and is on bed-rest for high blood pressure. This is the one that says I eat too healthy! Maybe she should take a few tips!:+ Re the Riber1 bars: There is HFCS is them, but a girl has to have a treat sometimes. I definetly don't eat them daily but they're nice for an occasional treat.

Robin, How can you eat only 1/2 of one of those?! I can't put them down!!

Shirl -YAY! New workouts! I can't wait for STS. Yummy treats for you today!

Doin' good on not snackin' - they're all locked away in the trunk! LOL! I'm drowning myself w/ my water though! I GOTTA PEEEEEE!

Kate, ooh, high blood pressue, not good. My meals are good, but i need more fats/proteins to support the exercise, it always takes me forever to figure these things out, and i'm an RD!
You should have brought some light hot chocolate, that would be great with the fireplace. Is it cold where you are? You mentioned to Katie about a fertility book you recommend. Which one is that? I'm thinking i need to start thinking about babies soon, i'm going to be 31 next week...

Steph, Re the light hot chocolate: I'm a chocolate purist. If I can't have my super-indulgent homemade dark choc. version I'll skip it easily. It's cols her but not toooo cold - maybe 30. The fertility book is called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's by Toni Weschler, MPH. I can't say enough about what an awesome book this is. I need to reread it because I've gotten a little lax in keeping track of things. We're on the other end of the spectrum and definetly DONT want more kids. Actually we always imagined we'd have 4-5 kids but we never dreamed the business would take off like it has. Now that I've not had kids in diapers or pushin a stroller around for so long (&sleeping thru the night!) I don't know how I could go back to that. You and Katie will be such cute little prego people! I was so unhealthy the first time, did really well the 2nd. I think it would be fun to be super fit and see your belly grow. Oh well for me I guess.

BLAST IT! DH (not dear) just went thru the McD's drive thru and ordered shakes! Stupid man! I will NOT eat any!

Does anyone else find the mental image of Kate, in the front seat of the car, on her way to vacation, with her computer on her lap chatting with her "ladies" (as Chris would say) COMPLETELY HILARIOUS?!?! Kate, you are adorable! I hope that by now, we are a distant memory, and you are having a blast on the slopes! BTW, I am a chocolate purist too! Do tell about the dark hot choc.!

Steph, may I ask you a RD question...? I wanna make sure I am getting enough of everything -- how do I do that? What is the website you mentioned?

Robin, I agree with Kate, there is no way I can eat 1/2 of a bar (or anything really, let's be honest here...) and then stop! My DF thinks it is hilarious that you all figured out that was what was causing the horrible gas!

IMAX3 came in the mail to me today -- YIPEE! I am TERRIFIED!

Katie - LOL but it wouldn't be vacation if I couldn't take you guys with me!! DH has been laughing at me too. Imax3, oh man!!! Good luck. I find some of the blasts to be too high impact. When I want a good solid 30 min. cardio, the step only premix is great. And if you take the hardest blasts out you're probably getting the 45 min. of cardio you like. Just some thoughts....

Steph, I did have a couple small bites of vanilla shake,,coulda been worse...coulda ordered my own chocolate shake...with pb cups....and fudge...oh my word, someone stop me! At dinner there was literally NOTHING in the lodge and I ended up eating some of the kids fries (and they were so good!). Had an apple when we got back to the room. And 3 mini ChipsAhoy. Honestly they don;t taste that good but something about them is so freakin' addicting. Hey, can I take you up on the food analysis (not for today obviously!)? I'm also going to check out the daily plate too.

I did 4DS KB cardio and StretchMax. I'll do the same tomorrow morning, I think...or maybe wait and do B&G when I get home. We'll see how the morning goes. I hope the lodge has something clean for b'fast.

Oh crap!! Looks like I am consuming too much fat, sodium, and protein (193% of my daily value...?)

Stephanie, how much protein do I need? I was thinking something like 75 to 80 grams, but this thing is telling me different.

Now I am feeling down on myself...
