Choosing Step...

I purchased the fanny lifter but I am thinking of returning it and going with a step stool or something cheap. The fanny lifter goes up 14"... what do you guys use with Cathe's videos? How tall? I saw a stool in KMart and it was 9". What height is best? Isn't higher harder on the knees?

I don't like doing "step" workouts... I can never keep up with them and then I lose interest really quick. This would be for lower body work without the step workout of course.

Thanks

I use the fanny lifter but am looking for to buying the high step when I can. I like the fanny lifter(still hate saying that word!!)for now because it offers you 3 different heights and I don't think a regular stool would be as versatile. As for step workouts, did you consider doing one of the beginner/intermediate workouts? They are much easier to learn and still pack a decent punch. Just a suggestion.

I use the high step. This is really sturdy and you can adjust the height by adding the risers (each one adds 2") so you can make it whatever height is comfortable for you. I usually make mine 14" high

Yes the one stool I measured at KMart was 9inches... I have seen higher but they are probably too high!

No I haven't tried the beginner/intermediate step workouts... I just dread them... most people here dread weight training and I would rather do that! I like it slow and easy to follow! or I just get really bumbed out! I tried do a firm step tape last night and I just couldn't figure it all out, camera views don't help! That and I just don't see the benefit of it other than cardio but I can get that elsewhere... I guess I just don't like jumping around and going fast!

I can't even decide which Cathe workout to buy! Legs or an overall one! Don't want to fork out too much money right now.

Thanks
Stephanie
