:::CHEETAHVILLE::: Thursday

MIA cheetah today. This morning I got in a 45 mi Firm workout. I had to be out the door to the orthapedic surgeon for my dd arm at 10. Needless to say they didn't even see her until 11:15. Then we had to take the car through emissions. I'll try and get back for personals today but I have to re-go back out and gather things for shopping and take my neice back to her mom. My sister lives aobut 45 min away from me. My neice leaves for college Aug 25 so I will see her again before then. I feel like she is one of my own going away. I can just imagine how my sister feels.

Hello Cheetahs!

Shelly - You will have a job working and moving too. Know you will be glad to have it over and done. Good luck! Hope you enjoy the run in your new neighborhood. Fun!

Wendy - Enjoy the nutrition program. Way to work around that sore bum! Your running schedule looks good. So, are you getting Chalene's new workouts?

Dallas - Glad you enjoyed your pedicure. Good to be pampered. So sorry about DH. Hope you find out something soon. Know he doesn't need that right now. Glad to hear you're not happy with subzero products. I was looking at those too but went with something else. UGH on the AC unit!!

Cathy - You probably mentioned it, but how did the BBQ go Saturday? Isn't it funny when we say we slept in until 6 or so? DBF always jokes with me that it must feel like noon to me. Tell him yep it does. LOL!! The temp at Walgreens was reading 86 at 10:30. Too hot!

Karen - I always forget to check if I have messages or not. Need something to bang me over the head I guess. How's DD arm? Glad you'll get to see your niece before she leaves.

Gloria - Guess it stays cool enough there that you don't need too much AC, huh? My sis in Detroit doesn't have central AC either. They get by with one window unit. About melted one year when I visited in July. Other than that, I visit in Oct. when it's cooler. Congratulations on the 5 # loss!

Wendi - That's great that you'll be able to get off work for the RT Friday! One day is better than nothing. Guess he isn't all bad, huh? Have a good show and enjoy those margaritas!

Christine - Glad you weren't affected by the quake. When do you leave for NC? That's where you have that wonderful view right?

Lorie - Good luck with the 12 week boot camp. Will be interested to hear what that's like. Sounds like Gillian's plan is helping you. That's great!

Carole - DH made a funny about the dental floss. Cute! LOL!! My sis was in Cali when they had a quake I think it was in the 90's. Said she was not going back again. I'm trying to think if she's been back since then. Enjoy your workout!

Linda - Good job with the 7 miles today! Did you like Shred?

Today's workout was iClimb #18 30 minutes, 15 minutes of BBC Treadmill and Stretch Max #1.

Jackie - I did enjoy 3 Day Shred......but it seemed so short! But....that is good, cause I needed short...I also really think I will like to put 2 or 3 sections together. It is a lot more intense than it looks upon preview! But I went heavier on back, chest and biceps. Good job on your workout!

Karen - Is your daughter okay? I know how hard it is when your daughter goes away to college! I sympathize with your sis! I cried my eyes our when my daughter left! She came home most weekends....but still!

Linda :: *lol* about Madison being off the hook! Does she still chew up packages, or did she outgrow that?...Ohhhh, I see--it was an RW forum discussion. Well, lots of people train differently and find what works for them. I think, for me, a traditional, conservative plan is best. Will be curious to see how your friend reacts to your suggestions.

Gloria :: Big congrats on that 5 lb. loss!! I need to follow your lead. I don't want my pants to be snug when we go back. :) How cute the way Ellie and Pip have interacted.

Jackie :: the BBQ was a good time. :) *lol* about our version of sleeping in feeling like noon. DBF is so right--it does!

Wendi ~ I'll join you on margaritaville! :D Have fun bowling!

Wendy ~ The show was rocking! How's your tailbone? Looks like you have a nice training plan.

Cathy ~ WOW! 3 miles and KM drills. You go girl! We won't get DH's results until Monday. Mil's chemo was pushed back again. :( It's her lungs. Thank you! I think my foot is fine. I'll try running on Sat. We ran into VBS last night and I had flip flops on...bad..I know. it was a little achy after that. **Crossing my fingers** Sat run goes well. I stopped using the new orthotics even though I wasn't running in them, but I think that's helped. Go figure?!?? I need my running, it's been a great stress reliever!

Christine ~ Thank you re:Spinervals info. Great reviews! I'll go check it out after I post. When do you leave for NC? Family vacation? I like the water too...I'd move to either coast in a minute!

Lorie ~ Where's the bootcamp that you're taking? The gym? I could use a kick in the bootay!! LOL! Have fun tonight! Dean sounds like a keeper.

Carole ~ lol'd about your dh's comment. Are you doing your own leg workouts right now?

Linda ~ WTG on the 7 miler! So, what do you think of Jillian's new workouts?

Gloria ~ WTG on the 5 pounds! I, on the otherhand, hate the scale right now! See - that's why I don't usually get on it! UGH! I can't figure it out..maybe I need to sign up for that program?!?! I don't feel like I'm eating badly or more. Hmmm I thought it was normal to gain a few pounds in the winter to insulate? LOL

Karen ~ Busy day!! How'd DD's arm? Is your niece's college close to you? RT!!!!

Jackie ~ I'd replace all of them (Subzero) in a minute!! Glad you chose a different brand. Big pain in the patootie!! The guy who services them, we've gotten to know him well because he was here so frequently, even said that they are high maintenance. Nice workout!

I did the spin bike/EXT mish mosh and Tracey's Core workout this AM. I still have legs and some stretching to do. I'll be getting to that soon.

Have a good one!

Like my avatar??? :D You all have pets and we don't. :( So, Garfield will have to do and he matches my mood these days.

Ok, better get moving!

Happy Evening Cheetahs. Back for personals

Wendi- Did you make it to Margaritaville? I can pour you a cold one. Come on down.

Wendy- My dd had a copy of the x-ray the night that she broke her arm for her to see how bad it was and for him to tell her what was a matter. Well she was showing eveyone and there mother the thing and then all of a sudden it was gone. With summer reading at the library she started to use it as a book mark. Go Figure. That's my Kayla. When is your 18 miler. At the end of the email is how she broke the arm.

Cathy-3 miles and drills is awesome. What is the name of your pilates torture. I will order it from Netfilix.

Christine- Some days are just busier than others. I'm so glad the quake didn't effect you. I have a friend whose sister lives in San Jose and she said they were fine too. I'm not familiar with all the locations in CA but I'm glad you were not in danger.

Lorie- Heck I would crash in your room if I was coming. Have fun and enjoy the class

Carole- As soon as I get home I am going to order the software and since I'm so imcompetant on the ocmputer I can ask you for help. The demo makes it look easy so i'm hoping it is.

Gloria- 5lbs. Way to go is all I can say. I'm so happy for you. I can't wait to lose another 10lbs. Usually when I run or train for somthing I jsut stay the same. This time I'm tweaking it so hopfully I can lose 10lbs in about three months. That should be doable.

Dallas- My neice has emailed me twice since I took her home. She is going to a college in MD which is where we live but it's three and a half hours away. She is going for a double major in voice and piano. Her minor is foreign language. She has been taking piano since she was 4. I jsut wish she didn't have to go. I watched College Roadtrip the other day and I told my girls who are 11, 9, and 6 that at most they can go an hour away.

Linda and Dallas- June 3rd she was playing soccer in the yard with her sister. DH called everyone in for dinner and she kicked the ball one last time up the hill and her feet came out from under her. She tried to put her hands behind her to brace the fall . DH said her heard the break when she fell. I came out and saw her holding her arm and I swear it looked horrific. It was so disfigured. We went to the ER and my mom took my other two kids and when we got there they took her immediatly and called an orthopedic surgeon who was in surgery and said we have an 11 yo with deformities. My heart sunk. I thought are they talking about my baby. There were!!! So she got sent back and they put her on a IV drip of morphine. We were there 8 hours that night. They had to put her to sleep and set her arm that night. We had to wait for the surgeon to get out of surgery and then he came over to set DD. I have never seen anyone put to sleep let alone my own child. I was so scared she wouldn't wake up. They told me she would be out 30 min and I was counting the seconds until she opened her eyes. She doesn't even remember them setting it. Anyway she broke the one bone completely and when she did it pushed the other bone out so that it was bowing. It was touch and go for the first week. I was to and from the doctors getting x-rays every third day becasue they wanted to see if the bone was going to continue to bow. It stopped bowing at 10% after the night her pushed and cracked it back down. They were going to put a pin in it if it bowed anymore. If it did she wouldn't have been able to flip her arm over. Thank God it did not and held position. Anyway now we are going back just for him to see the arm and her progress at this point. She should be good however her soccer career is over. They told me that now that her cast is off with the break she had that it will take one year for it to be really right again. She has a bump on her arm which was bothing her and he said today it should go down as she grows. Plus her wrist hurts all the time. He said that it was ok and that should take another 6-8 months to be completely good. We are on the home stretch now. Yeah!!!!!!!!!

Good evening everyone!

Linda - I've been putting 2 of the Shred workouts together. Last week I did all 3 up thru circuit 2 of #3. I'll leave off some of the warm ups and cool downs. Works pretty good.

Cathy - I noticed you didn't mention the "s" word only when you go back. LOL!! Good luck with getting the extra off.

Dallas - Like your new avatar! I think I gain weight during the summer instead of winter. Maybe because I'm eating more ice cream or something. Nice workout today!

Karen - Quite an ordeal DD went through. Hope the arm heals correctly. Will she be playing soccer still?

Had to buy a new alarm clock. My other one seems to gain 2 hours and I'm tired of waking up 2 hours too early. I'll put it to the test tonight.

Have a good night!

Cathy - She will probably agree to it. (I hope anyway!). But I do know that she does want to do the full distance of the marathon beforehand. But I think I will be okay with the every other week. MAdison? She still chews things. We are still trying to ship things to work, if at all possible. There are a few things that don't give me the option for a different shipping address. I think the last thing of mine she "ate" was my CIA DVD's a few months ago.

Dallas - Good job on the workout! I like Tracey's new Core workout. Do you like it? Which leg workout did you do? This was my first time with Shred. I liked real well this morning. It was what I needed. I don't know how it will hold up in the long run. I guess it has a lot of potential, since you can put more than one workout together. It was more intense than it appeared. I liked that I was able to get abs done, also, in that short workout! I do like your avatar!!

Karen - Oh my goodness! Bless her heart! Thank God things are looking up! That had to have been sooo painful to see her like that! And I am sure it was painful for your poor DD!

Jackie and Linda- We're are at the home stretch now. It has been a long long long summer with no pool for her.. Now she can get in the pool as part of her physical therapy. She can't play soccer for at least one year but after that I'm not sure if I'm even going to let her. He said one break of any kind in that arm will lead to surgery. She does other sports but it 's hard because soccer is her all time favorite sport. The only good thing is now that the cast is off so she can get on rides and get in the ocean for vacation. One week the other way she would still have the cast on.

Good Evening Cheetah Babes!

So nutrition program users...anyone else notice the GPA underneath the report card?? I just noticed it a few minutes ago. It made me smile as well as feel really good about how I ate today!

Karen: OMG your poor DD! What a horrible break she had! Sounds like she's being a trooper through it all though, huh? My 18 mile race is the same day as Cathy's marathon: October 12th.

Dallas: My butt still hurts. WAAAH! I hope it goes away soon! It's really annoying! I couldn't do the full sit ups in the 4DS ab routine today because I couldn't "roll" over my tail bone like that! I subbed in regular crunches which was fine but I have to be very careful until it heals or I'll cause myself some major OUCHEES!

Jackie: As of right now I am thinking I will be holding off on Chalene's new stuff. With release of STS still pending and everything else I haven't gotten around to doing as far as work outs go, I think I need to pass on SOMETHING...atleast for the short term. We'll see what happens though.

Christine: Glad you were not affected by the quake! So when do you leave to come to the Carolinas?

Lori: I can't even get down to Cathe's gym for the friday morning step class let alone getting there thursday night...no one to watch DS. :( Oh well. I am keeping my fingers crossed that DH can get out of work early enough on Friday so that I'll get down there in time to make it onto the bus!!!

Carole: Funny story about your DH and the dental floss bathing suit! I think the boyshorts thing was supposed to be directed towards Judy and I just messed up! LOL Oh well. So you signed up for the nutrtion program? How do you like it so far? Getting good grades? ;)

Linda: The nutrtion program is actually not so bad once you get used to it. I am having a hard time finding alot of foods in the pre-set food list so I am entering alot of customs. I am also finding that when I DO find the foods, the nutrition info is not correct for the exact type/brand I am eating so I go ahead and use custom anyway to make it more exact. Oh calf cramps are the worst! I don't blame you for avoiding calf work!!!!

Cathy: If you are hurting before you even DO the first drill then you KNOW you are workin' your legs good! :D

Gloria: Congrats on the weight loss! EXCELLENT! Now if you could just come by and whip the rest of us into shape, we would be eternally grateful! LOL

Okay, I *THINK* that catches me up on the personals front. Time to hit the bed for some reading before I pass out!

Night Girls!

Evening Ladies!

I decided to do B&G (standing only) and then I hopped on the spin bike for 20 minutes. I figured that may help keep the DOMS away. :p I then stretched while watching the beginning of SYTYCD. DS5 was in there with me. He thought the w/u to B&G was pretty funny. The part where you're squatting with the stability ball and then you let it bounce. I guess normally I'm warmed up, so I skip the w/u most of the time. He does the walking lunges with me. :D I'll wait for DD to get home from her b-day party and will watch the dance show together.

Wendy ~ You girls have me very curious about this nutrition program. Is it easy to use? Hope your bum gets better ASAP!

Linda ~ I do like the new one - it sneaks up on you. However, I did the old Core Conditioning one. That one gets the burn in there FAST. Thanks for the review of Shred. I was curious about that one after getting my new Collage catalog. I figured who doesn't like Garfield. LOL

Jackie ~ I wish I could eat ice cream WHAHHH!! I'll start a food journal and I'm sure I'll figure it out. I know I've been bad about drinking water. I have to fix that with these hot temps coming.

Karen ~ Oh my about your DD! My DD10 plays travel soccer...YIKES!!! I figured it's a safe sport. Guess not. She really enjoys it. I dare not tell her about your dd, she'll be worrying about it. Glad your dd is healing nicely and can start enjoying the pool. Poor thing! That was her whole summer. :(

OOps, the door

I just lost a fricken whole post of personals and I am ticked!!!! This has never happend to me before. WTH! Ran 4 miles instead of BC just because I felt like it. GRRRRRRRR!!
