Hiya cheetahs!
I’m visiting my Dsister in Sebastopol, CA and wanted to get in a hello and check out what ya’ll have been up to. Such a lovely home they have here; I even have my own guest room equipped with shower, robe, slippers, dvd, plasma tv, hi-speed internet, cable, etc. blah blah…this is better than the Hyatt! LOL. … DD17 came along with me to visit (she has her OWN guest room as well!). Today we ventured out to do some shopping at the mall in Santa Rosa. DD17 was treated very well by Auntie and scored on some very nice new threads. My sister and brother-in-law are VERY generous and kind people; always spoiling us. They are also the only 2 people who get upset with me at the weight I’ve gained and would love for me to do something about it. Soooo, I told them all that on Monday the 7th (when I return to going to work routine) I start my BFL 12-week challenge and I’m really focused and going get this fat off me and tone up me muscles. (I also told them about the wonderful support I get here from “cheetah friends”) My DSister told me that if I really do it and lose the weight that she’ll take me to CANYON RANCH in ARIZONA!!! after my 12-week challenge is over. If that ain’t enough incentive then somebody quickly slap me upside the head! LOL..Seriously though, I am pumped up and ready to get back in shape not just for my own well being but a trip to Canyon Ranch would be nice as well!.lol. Our hellish storm has started its course but I think the real nasty winds and rain will be worst when I am driving home! At home, we may see a bit snow on Saturday…we’ll see.
Wendy – hello dear, sorry about what happened with your dog; I just felt that I needed to comment about the incident - he’s a Golden Retriever right? Well just my opinion and from what I have experienced, Golden’s are a very sensitive breed and sometimes don’t tolerate being without the family for long periods as well as other breeds. Some will do out of the ordinary behavior if they are stressed or upset. Sorry this happened to you but I also wonder if your dog really was taken out as often as was said, because 5 piles is well….alot of poo-poo and well…I don’t think the dog could “manufacture” that many piles in between going outside….I don’t know, tell me to shush up if I’m speaking out too much but I felt bad for you and this dilemma. I hope you’re not mad at the dog because I just know your dog must be as sweet as mine since he is a Golden!
Cathy – Nice ski photos! We had a blast skiing over the last weekend. Fortunately for us we live only 30 minutes from the summit where the first of many ski resorts are located. Hopefully we’ll get to ski another state sometime.
Shelly – FINALLY! you get some time off! Enjoy! I have to go back to work on Monday 7th, and greedily enough I want more time off! LOL. It will be good to be back though only because I’m better at a “routine” when I’m on a work schedule.
Judy – So glad your DD made it home safe! All the talk of Lake Placid makes me wanna come out and ski your state! LOL Sounds lovely. Good job with the BOSU – shamefully enough, I have yet to use mine as I first could not use my “garage” since DD18 was visiting and used it as a bedroom, and then I’ve been gone from home! Nevertheless, I have a great plan to incorporate the Core work with my BOSU during my BFL 12 week challenge that starts on Monday. I have Candace Copland’s DVD to use. BTW, I loved reading your post about the lentil soup and your dear mother; very sweet.
Linda – Yay! Have fun with the time off. You should try skiing! It is soo fun…
Lori – I may have missed it but do you work for an airline? i.e. greeting flights etc…. Just curious. Sorry you left your gloves – I hate when I do that!
Christine – Yep, the storm has begun and I’m in Sebastopol right now, but I am worried about the forecasted winds up at my house in Colfax. Sheesh, my neighbors have 2 really tall Ponderosa pines that have been diseased and they have dragged their feet about getting them downed…I’m askeered that if the wind and rain tumbles them it may fall where our horse is….I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Also, I have eaten at Mustard’s in St. Helena before too…good yummy stuff!
Carole – Sorry you are having a crappy time with DH…wonder what his “D” stands for today?...lol…just kidding… I tell my DH that we cheetahs refer to the DH’s as a DH and the “D” can mean any word describing the hubby for the day..he laughed and asked what kind of “D” he is…and I said, “well, DASHING of course…”..lol
Lorie – Wow, that was some workout. How the heck do ya’ll stay focused on so many different segments? I was not kidding when I said my ADD would do me in trying to mish this with that mosh…lol…. Good job though! Have fun back at work….does Linus get to go to the to the cluster presentation? I saw his Christmas photo on the other thread and I have to say, you should guard that lil’ fella cuz he is definitely dog-nappable }( . lol…
Jackie – glad work has slowed down for you. I think it has been cold everywhere lately except Aruba.....
Wendi – OMGoodness! Very scary about your trailer brakes! Thankfully you and the horse made it safely and the problem is corrected. Good luck with the rest of the show…sending WARM vibes your way..
Think that is everyone….Have a great day cheetahs!!!!
