Cathlete
Hiya cheetahs!

I’m visiting my Dsister in Sebastopol, CA and wanted to get in a hello and check out what ya’ll have been up to. Such a lovely home they have here; I even have my own guest room equipped with shower, robe, slippers, dvd, plasma tv, hi-speed internet, cable, etc. blah blah…this is better than the Hyatt! LOL. … DD17 came along with me to visit (she has her OWN guest room as well!). Today we ventured out to do some shopping at the mall in Santa Rosa. DD17 was treated very well by Auntie and scored on some very nice new threads. My sister and brother-in-law are VERY generous and kind people; always spoiling us. They are also the only 2 people who get upset with me at the weight I’ve gained and would love for me to do something about it. Soooo, I told them all that on Monday the 7th (when I return to going to work routine) I start my BFL 12-week challenge and I’m really focused and going get this fat off me and tone up me muscles. (I also told them about the wonderful support I get here from “cheetah friends”) My DSister told me that if I really do it and lose the weight that she’ll take me to CANYON RANCH in ARIZONA!!! after my 12-week challenge is over. If that ain’t enough incentive then somebody quickly slap me upside the head! LOL..Seriously though, I am pumped up and ready to get back in shape not just for my own well being but a trip to Canyon Ranch would be nice as well!.lol. Our hellish storm has started its course but I think the real nasty winds and rain will be worst when I am driving home! At home, we may see a bit snow on Saturday…we’ll see.

Wendy – hello dear, sorry about what happened with your dog; I just felt that I needed to comment about the incident - he’s a Golden Retriever right? Well just my opinion and from what I have experienced, Golden’s are a very sensitive breed and sometimes don’t tolerate being without the family for long periods as well as other breeds. Some will do out of the ordinary behavior if they are stressed or upset. Sorry this happened to you but I also wonder if your dog really was taken out as often as was said, because 5 piles is well….alot of poo-poo and well…I don’t think the dog could “manufacture” that many piles in between going outside….I don’t know, tell me to shush up if I’m speaking out too much but I felt bad for you and this dilemma. I hope you’re not mad at the dog because I just know your dog must be as sweet as mine since he is a Golden!

Cathy – Nice ski photos! We had a blast skiing over the last weekend. Fortunately for us we live only 30 minutes from the summit where the first of many ski resorts are located. Hopefully we’ll get to ski another state sometime.

Shelly – FINALLY! you get some time off! Enjoy! I have to go back to work on Monday 7th, and greedily enough I want more time off! LOL. It will be good to be back though only because I’m better at a “routine” when I’m on a work schedule.

Judy – So glad your DD made it home safe! All the talk of Lake Placid makes me wanna come out and ski your state! LOL Sounds lovely. Good job with the BOSU – shamefully enough, I have yet to use mine as I first could not use my “garage” since DD18 was visiting and used it as a bedroom, and then I’ve been gone from home! Nevertheless, I have a great plan to incorporate the Core work with my BOSU during my BFL 12 week challenge that starts on Monday. I have Candace Copland’s DVD to use. BTW, I loved reading your post about the lentil soup and your dear mother; very sweet.

Linda – Yay! Have fun with the time off. You should try skiing! It is soo fun…

Lori – I may have missed it but do you work for an airline? i.e. greeting flights etc…. Just curious. Sorry you left your gloves – I hate when I do that!

Christine – Yep, the storm has begun and I’m in Sebastopol right now, but I am worried about the forecasted winds up at my house in Colfax. Sheesh, my neighbors have 2 really tall Ponderosa pines that have been diseased and they have dragged their feet about getting them downed…I’m askeered that if the wind and rain tumbles them it may fall where our horse is….I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Also, I have eaten at Mustard’s in St. Helena before too…good yummy stuff!

Carole – Sorry you are having a crappy time with DH…wonder what his “D” stands for today?...lol…just kidding… I tell my DH that we cheetahs refer to the DH’s as a DH and the “D” can mean any word describing the hubby for the day..he laughed and asked what kind of “D” he is…and I said, “well, DASHING of course…”..lol

Lorie – Wow, that was some workout. How the heck do ya’ll stay focused on so many different segments? I was not kidding when I said my ADD would do me in trying to mish this with that mosh…lol…. Good job though! Have fun back at work….does Linus get to go to the to the cluster presentation? I saw his Christmas photo on the other thread and I have to say, you should guard that lil’ fella cuz he is definitely dog-nappable }( . lol…

Jackie – glad work has slowed down for you. I think it has been cold everywhere lately except Aruba.....

Wendi – OMGoodness! Very scary about your trailer brakes! Thankfully you and the horse made it safely and the problem is corrected. Good luck with the rest of the show…sending WARM vibes your way..

Think that is everyone….Have a great day cheetahs!!!!

Thomasina :7

thomasina-wow...you are up as arly as i am! can i come stay at your sisiter's house? sounds wonderful... the mish mosh really wasn't bad because it kept me interested because the w/o's kept changing. when i got bored, i told myself i would be putting in a different dvd soon. in fact, i think i am going to review my cathe compendium and take a look at fitnessfreak's mish moshes because i really enjoyed that one. as for doing ALL of slow and heavy, that was a little tough. i found my mind wandering at times and i was a bit bored. but...once i set my mind to something, i follow through if it kills me!

i just woke up on my own at 0320 and couldn't fall back asleep, so i decided to get up and play around on the computer then get in a good, long w/o.

so, i plan on playing on the computer for a but then will w/o. it's so nice when i wake up so early and feel fully rested. i have time to w/o as long as i want and still don't have to rush to get ready.

i was going to try grace today but...i got double cardio in the mail y'day and i am dying to do the bosu w/o. also, i think i will wait a few more days until i do the thing that hurt my hip in the first place. maybe starting off with lower impact cardio will get my hip ready for grace!

a few personals from last night to catch up on...

jackie-yes, i did all of s&h. really, i have no idea how i did it without being so bored i had to quit! surprisingly, the only part of me that was really sore were my legs because i probably hadn't done legs in weeks!

carole-i actually like 4DS BC and i didn't think i was going to. there are parts that i like better than others, but for the most part, i like that it really gets my heart pumping.

wendy-i am glad you and BF made up. i am also a person who will do anything to avoid confrontation. i hate it!

wendi-   i am soooooo glad you are okay and didn't get into an accident or anything. i would have been freaking out!!!

cathy-ron clark was okay. a little too hyper for me. he started a school in atlanta and teaches (just teaches, doesn't run it or anything-very impressive) there. i do like his philosophies. do you know of jonathan kozol? he is a friend of mine and actually flew me to boston a while back to meet wth him and discuss my research. he is a true inspiration and such an advocate for children. if you haven't read any of his books, you must! he's so passionate about education. i also like to read friere and mclaren. i think friere's views on pedagogy are spot-on. anyway, i am SO glad for the enabling because i LOBVE my bosu!!! i can't wait to try my new dvd.

well, that's about it. i will be in a presentation all morning x(
so i wont' be able to check email, but i'll be on later.

Good morning everyone...

ARGGGHHHH, i finally had a chance to post personals and once i hit post my internet connection went downx(

i am so sorry but i don't have time to do again and still fit in my workout:(

today's workout is my TT workout of the day and a non-treadmill cardio from BBC.

have a awesome day ladies. sorry again about the personals.

christine- i will pm you my # and when you get to nc please call me.

Good Morning!:)
How is everyone? I am up toooo early today! DS woke at 5, tried to get back to sleep but between me trying to get the tv in DD's room turned off (she had her door locked!) and the dogs barking at the snow plow going up and down the st, he wasn't going to go back to sleep. I had planned on working out early even though I don't have to work today. I have a pile of things to do and was hoping to get going bright and early. Although, if he as been awake since 5, chances are he will be ready for a nap by 9. Thats when i was hoping to be heading for walmart though! Oh well!

Today my baby boy is 1!:) I can't beleive it! Where did the yr go!? I must say, I look and feel a ted bit better then I did last yr this time! LOL

Todays workout is going to be GS B,S,B, a run (3-5 miles)and Imax3 intervals 6-10. That should be a nice long workout.

Thomasina** Sounds like you are suffering it out at your sisters house;) Also sounds like there may be a little bit of money floating around:eek: Oh to live the high life...just a dream of mine:) JK! And you don't get offended by them telling you you need to slim down and tone up? My sister would be sooo pissed at me! Not that this is what happened to you, but when we were growing up as kids and my sister and I would fight, i would always call her fat! How awful! And she wasn't even fat but at the age where it irritated her sooo much! LOL Im sure thats not what you sister called you but sometimes there isn't a polite way of bringing that kind of stuff up.

Lorie** Up that early and you feel rested? I dunno bout that!;) I only feel really rested if I go to bed super early. Hope you get a good workout in.

I will try to come back later for more personnals but I have a pretty busy day ahead of me. I need to get things for DS's party, clean the house and workout.
Have a good day everyone!

Lori:)

Good morning, Thomasina, Lorie, and all who follow! Happy, happy Friday!!! :7 :7 :7

Thomasina :: sounds like a great time at your sister's...and wow, what a helluva incentive to slim down!...How lucky for you to be right there at the mountain. The closest mountains to me are the Poconos in PA, but they are more like ice skating rinks!

Lorie :: I've never seen him speak (except on Oprah), but I do like Clark's management techniques and I admire what he's done for his students. I found the Essential 55 to be well-suited to the low-income/working class kids I used to work with in my old district, but I don't have as much need to use them where I am now...I am familiar with some of Kozol's work and I remember you mentioning once that you were personal friends with him, which is just awesome. My idols are a little more subject-specific: Nancie Atwell, Kelly Gallagher, Jim Burke, Linda Rief, Rick Wormeli. I have met a couple of them and you'd think I was meeting some Hollywood movie star. I'm such a geek. :+ Enjoy that early bird workout!

Wendy :: Yeahhhh, you know me. If STS were available now, though, and I was choosing between the two, I'd have to go with Cathe. Oh, who am I kidding? I'd buy 'em both. *lol* You staying out of the cold again today?

Once again, no tentative plan for me. Just going with how I feel.

Have a GREAT Friday, ladies!

ETA: Hi Sunny and Lori (happy 1st b'day to DS!!)

Hi Cheetahs-
I'm in focused mode here. We are having family stay with us for the weekend and I have to get to the store to get more dinner ingredients. I am making stuffed shells (Cooking Light oct '07) And they are allergic to cats so I need to do extra dust mopping and vacuming etc.

Today is a 5 mile TM run it is supposed to be tempo . I want to do a Grace, but I think I will stick to the prescribed plan. I did not get back on to read the rest of yesterday's thread, therefore I am out of the loop.

Thomassina- You have a dear sister to be so concerned about you and so generous too! Count your blessings. I have two very obese sisters. And there weight is a sensitive subject. One sis was very ill last year and has recently lost abut 20 pounds. She is having surgery on Monday. We need to pray for her (sorry OT )

Wendy- I am sorry about your doggie do. I wonder if Thomassina is right? did you review your BOSU DVD yet? I 'll have to check back later if I get everything done. Oh it was COLD here yesterday too 6 degrees !

Lorie- I hope your conference goes well! I want to hear about your new BOSU DVD review!

Lori- Happy Birthday to DS!!! Nice workout planned today!

Carole- has your attention to Chi technique worked?

Shelly -What are you doing with all your time off?

Hi Cathy!

OK gotta skidaddle....

okay, i've got to skedaddle but i wanted to post my workout. i did bosu blast and parts of LIC. first i did bosu blast up to the core work. i really, really liked it and my heart was definitely pumping. i can definitely see the difference a workout made specifically for the bosu makes. then, i did the step combos and blasts from LIC. then, i went back and did the core work on bosu blast (tough!).

i would definitely recommend bosu blast. i wonder if there are many other cardio workouts for the bosu.

bbl!

Just wanted to pop in and tell Wendy that it is -19 here today! Now would you like to go get some groceries?!

Lori:)

TGIF Cheetah babes!!

I’m feeling kind of odd this morning – I hope I’m not coming down with something. I guess we’ll find out! I’ve been eating very well, so it’s unusual to feel as tired as I am. Oh well. Probably just the getting up early after almost two weeks of sleeping in. :p Today is a kickbox workout (StepBox or a short KBX Premix) and Leaner Legs. The weather is a mess – windy and rainy – flood advisories all over the place (not near me, though, thankfully). 10 feet of snow (yes – FEET) expected in Tahoe. We really need the rain and snow pack, though, so I’m not going to complain too much.

Lorie – your BootCamp Mish Mosh sounds killer! Good for you for completing it! Wow! Hope your hip feels good today! You’re quite the early riser! Sorry you couldn’t sleep! Have fun with Double Cardio! Let me know how it is!

Jackie – I only went to the gym a few days with DH. Then we go out to lunch and undo all the work. :+ You ladies are so making me want a BOSU. I have a 12 more pounds to lose before I get my first “big prize”, and that will definitely be a BOSU!

Carole – My DH went out with his buddies yesterday and came home tanked. I was less than thrilled with him. If you find a good hiding place for the pills, let me know. I do know what you mean about the roundhouse! It’s tempting. :p Stay dry!

Wendy – I’m glad you’re patching things up with BF. Glad you are enjoying your recovery.

Wendi – Thank goodness you made it home okay! That must have been terrifying!! Sorry you had to get the brakes repaired, though – but I’m happy you’re okay! Congrats on the horse show! I hope he make champion!

Cathy – you have school already? DD15 doesn’t start back until the 7th. I’m giggling over you know not knowing that the ice cream line was a direct quote. Although there are times when that pose comes darned close to feeling almost that good! I do like that DVD – it’s my favorite yoga one – glad you like it. Oh Thai food can be the hottest! I love their hot chili sauce, but I use it sparingly! I can see how the Thai wings would be killer! Yeah, I have a little red Mini. It was my commute car – and I love it. Handles like a dream. It’s tough to have to come back from vacation!

Thomasina – Would DS invite me over? :+ Sounds really nice! I’m with you on the 12 week Challenge girl. Let’s get the weight off this time! I’m so sick of it! But, sounds like you don’t need my motivation – that ranch sounds incredible! YAY for you!! Drive safely – the storms are horrible!! I’ll keep fingers and toes crossed about your house! Scary!! It’s so windy out there that the dogs did not want to go out (these are the dogs that stand out in the rain watching DH in the garage – they are not weather snobs!)

Sunny – I’m coming in on the 19th. My dad won’t be there yet, so I’ll have some time to putz. We could meet for coffee or dinner (I think I’ll be coming in to RDU around 4). I definitely will call you! I cannot wait to meet you!!!

Lori – Sounds like you had quite the morning!! Ouch! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your DS!!! How special! His first birthday!! Enjoy his birthday – we’ll be here tomorrow!

Judy – Can I come to dinner, too? Stuffed shells sound wonderful! Have fun with CleanMax and your 5 mile run!

Enjoy your days everyone!!! I'm taking DD15 and her BF out to lunch. We'll go to Fresh Choice and I'll have some chicken noodle soup and a salad. I cannot afford to feed a 16 yo boy except at a buffet! :p He loves it.

Good Morning Peeps!:)

Well, I overslept so no early morning work out for me! x( I had a horrid night's sleep so I'm exhausted. UGH! I'm gonna hit the gym for SOME kind of run this morning but will *NOT* be doing anything else. I will try out Tracey's work out tmrw.

That's all for now...

BBIAB!:)

Good morning cheetahs

Tomasina....WOW....I want your sister for a sister!! Great incentive for the 12 week challenge. Not sure the D in DH has ever stood for dashing, as my DH moves really slow...:D!!!...I am sorry, I cannot write here what the D stands for when we fight...http://planetsmilies.net/13661.gif[/img]

Lorie...wow, how did Beavs alarm get to your house??...:D...Yes 4DS BC does get the heart pumping...Way to go with the Bosu workout today after getting up so early.

Sunny...sorry about the internet connection loss...:(...this wind we are having is the only thing that messes with my internet connection. Enjoy your workout.

Lori...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/happy%20birthday1.gif[/img] to DS! Have fun with the GS, run and Imax workout!

Judy...yes, it seems the corrections to my Chi form have helped my hip. I will see my nephew today for a chiro adjustment and see if he should use the ultrasound to be safe. Stuffed shells sound good. Enjoy your 5 mile run.

Cathy...LOL about the roundhouse kick..:)...today the wind is howling and it is raining. I am glad I ran yesterday. So Eion is the ice cream guy?...:)..Congrats on the X+ purchase.

Christine...the weather here is high winds and rain. It'll be one nasty day on the roads, I just have one client and then I can come home. Sorry about your DH getting tanked...sometimes their immaturity gets to me!! Hope you are not getting anything, enjoy your workout.

Wendy...glad you got things ironed out with BF...why are men just buttheads sometimes??? Hope you get the new X+ soon!! Sorry sweetie about the bad night...:(...be careful on your run.

Wendi...the horse show sounds like it went well! Wow, scary about the trailer brakes, thank god you managed them. Glad to hear it was only a minor repair.

I am thinking of 20 min on my EXT 4DS LIS cardio and then 4DS legs.

Wow...the wind is getting bad....

Have a great friday...

Hey Quick check in again while eating

I did my first true tempo run as prescribed. 1 mile easy jog, 3 miles @ 9.5 /mi pace and 1 mile slowly decreasing in pace. I put a towel over the TM read out and just did it.

Christine- I hope the weather is not too severe and that you are not getting a virus!

Wendy- I tossed and turned too. I hope you catch up on rest! Have a nice TM session :)

Carole- I haven't used my EXT in a while, i think I should try to fit it in more often. I am preferring circuits (w/ BOSU) or KB on non running days lately.

Lorie- Which BOSU DVD did you buy again? I recall it was from deep discount right?

OK, time to vacuum and dust...

Good morning Cheetahs!

Carole - Yuk on running in the rain! Glad you got it in just in time and for the Chi Running helped the hip.

Wendy - Glad you and BF are working through the problems. I'm not a fighter either.

Wendi - Congratulations on the show! Hope he grabs the prize today. Scary on the trailer brakes. Glad you knew how to drive that thing and you are ok.

Cathy - So how does the new girl feel about getting the boys all in an uproar? Glad you enjoyed your yoga workout. So, he actually uses those words, huh? Too funny.

Thomasina - Sounds like you're having a blast with your sis. Girl, go for the gusto and get that trip to Canyon Ranch. Would love to do something like that.

Lorie - Sorry you couldn't sleep. Lot of that going around. I love Double Cardio. I do the Bosu workout more than Sharon's but will probably do it in my rotation this month. Good luck with your presentation. Nice workout today.

Sunny - Hate losing posts! UGH!! Enjoy your workout.

Lori - Sorry DS woke you so early. Hope you can get that workout in and make it to Wally World. Happy Birthday to your DS!! Will he get cake and ice cream?

Judy - Have fun with the family. What will you do with the cats?

Christine - Hope you're not coming down with something. The Bosu is so much fun to me and it's a good to test your balance and for a change. Enjoy lunch with DD & BF.

I did Firm It Up and a 20 minute yoga. Good workout! Thought my butt was going to freeze in the squeeze position.

Have a fantastic Friday!

Jackie

Good morning cheetahs! I was actually up at 0400 but resisted the temptation to get up and work out. I managed to sleep lightly until 0600 and then got in a good round of DM Cardio blast and have had my morning cereal. Now for a chat with my favorite group of fit gals!
I had a nice run yesterday using itread24- intervals (yes, I finally was able to troubleshoot my ipod) I got in 6 miles. Later I fried the legs good with GS legs:7 It feels great to be off for a while!!! Shortly after I woke up yesterday I got a call from the hospital asking me to work last night! I had to really restrain myself from cursing at them;-) anyway, I respectfully declined;-)

Thomasina- That's a great bit of incentive your DS offered! Canyon Ranch is fabulous!! Never been there myself.

Lorie- Is the Bosu blast part of the CIA double cardio dvd? Or is it something different? I have the CIA vid and Amy's HiLo Dome dvd on the way to me in the mail. I plan on shopping for my bosu today.
Hopefully Kohls has them in stock. Glad your hip is better and that you are still holding off on the running until it is 100% again.

SunnyD- Sorry about your internet connection frustration!x( Are you seeing any good results from your TT workouts?

Lori- Happy Birthday to your DS:+ :+ :+ :+ :+ Having alot of people over for the party? Awesome workout you have planned!

Cathy- Nice to see you are having a great mellow week!!!

Judy- :9 :9 :9 :9 Stuffed Shells!:9 :9 :9 Oh my, you've inspired me to look up some recipes! I haven't been cooking much lately... too much work! I'm going to be doing alot of catching up over my time off period. Shopping today, housework, of course! I'd like to get in some motorcycle riding with DH also and we plan on going target shooting to try out my new little .22. Have a great tempo run!

Chrstine- LOL about feeding a teenage boy! Wouldn't it be great if we could all have that kind of metabolism? It's amazing the amount of food they can pack away and not gain an ounce! Have fun with kickboxing today.

Wendy- Which Tracy workout are you getting? Sorry you didn't sleep well last night and I hope you can get in a satisfying run today.

Carole- Planning on a long run this weekend or are you going to let the hip rest more? Nice workout for you today with the 4DS and EXT!

Time to get busy again here. I'll be doing Amy's HiLo Ext/ APX circuit. Hopefully DH will be up and ready to head out by then. I'll be going out to spend some gift cards:7 :7 :7 I'm aiming to get a Bosu today and other fun workout stuff:7 :7 :7 Later today I'll go for a good 40 minutes on the EXT

ShellyC

Hi Jackie- I see we are posting together again! LOL about your butt freezing in the squeeze position!.... sounds painful:eek:
Happy TGIF to you!

ShellyC

Good morning! Ahhh! I love being off from work!!

Thomasina – Wow! Canyon Ranch Spa would be great! That is so cool that your DS and BIL spoil you like that! That sounds wonderful! Yes, one of these days maybe I will get brave and try skiing! But..I may be too old to try it for the first time! Oh well…I could do the “baby” bunny slopes…as the regular bunny slopes would probably be too hard for me! ;)

Lorie – I am sorry you woke up so early and couldn’t get back to sleep! Don’t ya just love being able to work out as long as you want and not having to worry about time! I have enjoyed being off yesterday and today! (I am off work). I love the bosu part of Double Cardio! Hope your hip gets better soon!

Sunny – Oops! I am sorry about your internet connection! I hate when I lose long posts! Enjoy your workout! It sounds awesome, as usual!

Lori – Aww! Happy Birthday to your little boy! That sounds like an interesting workout! Lots of variety!

Cathy – Enjoy whatever you decide to do! That is the way I felt yesterday! You asked what I ended up doing yesterday….I ran 4 miles and did Gin Miller’s Serious Strength. It was the first time I had ever done that one and I liked it a lot!

Judy – Enjoy your company! I’ll bet the shells will be wonderful! Glad you enjoyed your tempo run! Sorry your company is allergic to the kitties!

Christine – 10 FEET! Oh my! I though 10 “inches” was a lot of snow! Have fun taking DD and her BF to lunch! Isn’t it amazing how much teenage boys can eat!

Wendy – Sorry you overslept! Enjoy your run! I love all of Tracey’s workouts! I am really looking forward to her making more!

Carole – Hope you and DH are okay today. I hate fighting so much! It truly makes me feel terrible physically! Your workout plan sounds great!

Jackie – I had to laugh when I read what you said about FIU! That is a burner, isn’t it?

Shelly – Day one of your 6 day stretch! Hope you enjoy it!!! Good job on your workout yesterday! Today’s plan sounds great!

Okay – I have a really fun one for you guys that have bosu’s and that want another cardio workout to do on it! I wanted to do Imax 2 this morning, but didn’t really feel like the impact from the step, so I got to thinking about what choreography was in it and decided it may work on the bosu. So, that is what I did! It was so much fun! I had to modify a few moves. I had to make sure I always unloaded my foot on certain moves. Also at the

I’m back! I actually ended up doing Pinky’s version of Low Max (found that I hadn’t traded it after all!). For those of you who haven’t seen this it’s:

LM warm-up
LM cycle 1
squats, 20 reps, 40 lbs.
plie squats, 20 reps, 40 lbs.
LM cycle 2
squats, 20 reps, 40 lbs.
plie squats, 20 reps, 40 lbs.
LM cycle 3
leg presses, first set with 8-lb. db's, 16 reps each leg
leg presses, 2nd set with 10's, 16 reps each leg
LM cycle 4
two sets of static lunges, 40 lbs., 16 reps each leg
LM cycle 5
leg presses, first set with 8-lb. db's, 16 reps each leg
leg presses, 2nd set with 10's, 16 reps each leg
LM cycle 6
two sets of static lunges, 40 lbs., 16 reps each leg
LM cycle 7
LM cool down

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not feel 100% or if it’s because I had 2 cups of strong coffee as opposed to my typical tea, but my HR was UP there on this one! I do wish it were not as repetitive, though. I get bored with the outer thighs, the sculpt 7’s, and the breakdowns. But it’s a tough little workout.

Wendy – sorry you overslept! I hate that!

Carole – I have Jimmy at the office with me because the gate to our house won’t stay shut in the wind and I don’t want him getting lost (or being stuck in the garage all day!). He and I are both soaked. Fortunately I only have to drive 2 miles – but even that was a little challenging.

Judy – thanks! We’ll see on the virus. The rain we’re getting in abundance! Good job on the tempo run!

Jackie – I used to take a BOSU class at the gym when I took 5 months off between jobs – and it was a great, challenging class. I would love to find a BOSU workout like that. I’m chuckling about your butt freezing!

Shelly – Glad you got to sleep in! And what a nice way to wake up! What was up with your iPod on iTread 24? I’m glad you declined working, and I admire your restraint! Oh, yeah, I would love to have his metabolism! He can easily eat 5,000 calories a day and not gain a pound. Amazing! Let me know how you like the HiLo Ext/APX circuit and which one you did. I have it on my rotation next week. :p

Linda – good seeing you again! My DH learned to ski when he was 40 – so you can learn. Me – I can’t handle anything the slides, so I’m an avid snow shoer… Yeah, 10 FEET. I was up in Tahoe one year when we got dumped on – 3 feet a day for 4 days. Never had a lick of problems driving around – they get that kind of snow up there all the time and can handle it. Although the news teams are strongly recommending not heading up there now as some of the passes can be closed in this kind of snow (like Donner Pass – yes, of the Donner Party fame). Sounds like you had fun on the BOSU!

Enjoy ladies! I supposed I should actually work...

Christine - Thanks for posting the LoMax mix workout! I will print that and try it! It looks and sounds great. My heartrate was waaay up there today with my workout and it also made "me" wonder if it was just tough, or if I was starting to get sick or maybe just fatigued from jetlag? I hope you are not getting sick! I love snow! It sounds absolutely beautiful! As long as I would be able to still get around, like you said, I would be in heaven!
