RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Goin' for post-holiday burn! (Wed....

okay, now it's time for personals...

cathy-heck yeah, the stores are open!!! i was right there waiting for macy's to open at 6 am!!! funny you watched "a christmas story" too. i love that movie! GET THAT AIRBORNE, girl!!! you have a big vacay planned. i also think it's probably not a good idea to do legs today. since you're not feeling well, take a rest day. you DON'T want to be sick for tomorrow.

wendi-i hadn't caught up on yesterday's posts but when i did and saw cathy's mallet smiley i laughed out loud!!! i hope you have a short day at work today. definitely a good idea to give your blisters one more day to heal. try that moleskin.

lori-sorry about the TM but it sounds like you made out very well! enjoy your 3 days off!

judy-yes, i am taking two regular doses of alieve. an orthopedist told me that when i have a pain like that, it's okay to take two. hopefully, it will start to feel better. i don't know what i'll do with all this time off and no cardio!! i will probably do kickboxing with just upper body stuff. we'll see. sorry about your run today. i know we have all had that happen. one time, i had no choice but to go into the woods and hope no one saw me! still, you ran EIGHT miles!

sunny-i agree with you about our cyber friends. it's hard to conceive that us cheetahs haven't met. i feel so close to everyone and the cards made it even better!

wendy-woo-hoo on the ipod. just think of all the grace you can fit on there!!!

carole-i hope your work day is short and you are able to get home early and relax. glad christmas at mom's was a good time.

christine-the photos you posted yesterday were GREAT! especially the one of jimmy!!! have a great time in napa and give us all the details when you get back.

shelly-what a great gift from DH. i have a snub-nosed 356 by my bed for protection but there is absolutely NO WAY i could run with it. it's so heavy!!! i would love the gun you got. then, maybe i would start running in the early morning again. i used to run with baloo (he's big and black and would bark if someone came up to me in a menacingly way) but now that i am running longer distances and faster (and he is getting up there), i no longer take him. i miss my running buddy. anyway, i think a small 22 is great! i'm jealous!

carla-welcome. i think these are the most amazing bunch of women. truly amazing. not just in their running accomplishments but as people. coming here ALWAYS makes me smile.

Quick Check in to say I LOVE ASCII! I got through the first three combo's - with a lot of rewinding, etc. It's a tough workout, and complicated (which is why I only got through the first three combo's - I'm brain dead!), but the moves are fresh and FUN!! I'm really looking forward to doing combo's 3-5 tomorrow!

I just finished my work out. I went for SSE's Core Cardio and P90M's Plyo Legs.

I upped the intensity of Plyo Legs by adding 16 jumping jacks between each exercise.

IT WORKED!

I'm beat.

Time for a shower.

BBL for personals!:)

Hi Cheetahs!

This will be a quick post for me. Going to a movie with sisters and DD in about 30 minutes.

Heartburn is gone. Didn't have any problems yesterday. Tried not to eat too much of the rich stuff.

Lori - I'm glad you liked your gift.

Cathy - Enjoy your trip.

Today's workout was iTread #21 Runnervals. I like this one even though Grace only gave one walking break. I got in 4.3 miles in about 40 minutes. Legs felt good. Finished up with Cool It Off Express.

I'll try and catch up on personals later. Just still too much going on with family in town and I'm trying to get a lot of decisions made on the new house. Had to look at the cabinet design today. I know you all understand too because you are a great bunch of women.

Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Jackie

Good evening ladies!

Well, I lied. I ditched KB/BC for a 7 mile run on the TM and I'm happy to report that there were no arguments from the blister clan! I got a couple of great sprints and some hill work in there so I'm happy. Also, I just got an mp3 player from SO tonight (I was allowed to open one tonight) so I can't wait to try out those CCs!

Sunny - So glad to hear that you had a wonderful Christmas with the kids. It definitely sounds like the work was worth every moment of joy! I hope you enjoyed your last workout with sis. Joins {{GROUP HUG}}.

Cathy - I know I missed you but I wanted to send you {{{{Cheetah Power}}}} to ward of those nasties that are trying to get you. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Wendy - Doing the happy dance with you for getting your nano :D. Great workout today!

Carole - Oh, we need to talk to little Sadie about those eating habits ;). Glad to hear that comments were kept to a minimum. That always makes for a stressful GTG. Bundle up out there!

Carla - Pleased to meet you and welcome aboard! Be warned though...we are a *very* chatty bunch. Are you up to the challenge }(? In all honesty you couldn't have found a more motivating bunch than these wonderful Cheetahs!

Christine - LOL about eating enough to feed a small nation. That would be me, too :9. I can't tell you how refreshing it was to get back to *normal* eating today. I just about started drooling over my veggies and hummus today lol. I'm ignoring what you said about ASCII...lalala, I can't hear you, *plugs ears with fingers*. Just what I need is to get hooked on yet another step video :+. Must resist x(. Enjoy Napa...sounds nice!

Judy - Okay, I was about to crack a joke about good "runs" versus bad "runs" but I think I'll leave it at that lol ;-). So sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I couldn't imagine getting through 8 miles like that...wow! IA with you about the rich food. I'm done with it for a while now.

Shelly - Nice to hear our insanely energetic Shelly is back in fighting form :7. Okay, I was askeered of you before but now you're packing...YIKES!!!! J/K! That is pretty cool by the way. Thanks for the sentiment but laying around all day actually exhausted me...twisted, huh? That hike sounds like fun...enjoy!

Lorie - Blisters are a thing of the past yay! But thanks for the tip. Hopefully it doesn't happen again but I will definitely try the moleskin if I find myself in need. Okay, LOL with you, not at you...I promise ;-). Uggh, you poor thing, yuck! I'm not really a drinker probably because the thought of puking is so revolting to me that it keeps my in check. Nice scores at the store today! I almost went out tonight but didn't really have it in me. I have everything I could possibly want or need right now and am very content with that. Although, I will definitely be getting me a bosu in the very near future, too. I'm so jealous of you right now ;). Please take care of that hip...sounds pretty painful :-(.

Jackie - Of course we understand, love! You must be excited about the new house coming along. So what did you go see? I personally can't wait to see Sweeney, my second fave musical of all time! I just hope they do Sondheim the justice he deserves for that wonderfully twisted masterpiece of his. I'm still not sold on Johnny Depp in the role.

Well, I think that catches me up for now. I'm looking forward to going to the gym with my friend from work early tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it will give her the little push she needs.

Nighty night Cheetahs!

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Goin' for post-holiday burn! (Wed....

Hey everyone! I have been packing this evening. I have to work tomorrow and then I will finish packing. We are leaving Friday morning for Vegas again. I will be back in town on the 2nd, so I won't be able to check in until after that. (unless I can sneak in a minute tomorrow evening!)

Cathy – Enjoy your ski trip and feel better!

Lorie – That is a hilarious story about the double shot glasses!

Christine – I am so glad you like ASCII! I adore it! It is sooo much fun after you do it a few times! I did it on Monday and had a ball!
The watch is beautiful! I can imagine Jimmy not liking the ears!! LOL!

Shelly – Oh my! That was a very good gift! I am glad you have that to carry! I don’t know why I never realized how “dangerous” your running territory could be! That is the only bad thing about running on beautiful trails and roads in the great outdoors!

Judy – Oh my! I am sorry about the run! That is awful when that happens and you have nowhere to go! I ate full fat cheesecake and full fat EVERYTHING the past couple of weeks! Blah! Great job on the 8 miler….but sorry it wasn’t very enjoyable!

Carla – Welcome! You will find your endurance in no time, flat!

Wendi – Great job on the 7 mile run! Glad you didn’t have any trouble with the blister clan! I will p.m. you a tracking number. Your gift is supposed to be delivered tomorrow according to the tracking number and I may not be able to check in, since I have to get ready for my trip so early the next morning.

Carole – Glad you had a good time at “Mom’s”! Also glad Sadie had fun! Enjoy your workout! It sounds great!

Wendy – that is the iPod that I got a few months ago? What color did ya get? I got the green! I hope you enjoy!! I love mine! Great idea on adding the Jumping jacks!

Jackie – Great workout! Enjoy the movie! Enjoy picking the cabinet design! Yes, we do understand! 

I took today off and didn’t do a workout!

Well, I will “try” to checkin tomorrow eve, but I may not get to…so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, New Year, and next week!

Gotta run and get ready to hit the hay!

Linda
