I kind of excited because I started something new....Lower Body Solution. I've been doing as much of I can of the advanced video rotation because I don't have any Firm tapes except Standing Legs. I have a bunch coming. In the meantime I did:

Saturday: Standing Legs, a 90 minute martial arts workout with a lot of kicking up and down a field. My butt really felt it the next day! Then I mowed a yard and did the upper body weight portion of Bodymax

Sunday: Imax plus the abs from Bodymax

Monday: CircuitMax (with a barbell so it's a leg workout)

Tuesday: Walked for 49 minutes

Weds.: PS Legs and Abs, the whole thing

Thur.: rest

Friday: MIS

So that makes 4 leg workouts in one week, where I would normally do two. I wasn't too sore except after I did Standing Legs. I'd forgotten what a good tape that is.

Tomorrow I'm having one of my kids and his family over and I'm making "Bacon Cheeseburger Upside-down Pizza." I'm actually able to de-fat it quite a bit, believe it or not. I'll post the recipe if it turns out good. It's another easy one. If I cook for you, don't expect a lot of effort!

Hi HB!! Woman you are a machine!! You go with that lower body workout! I'm kinda' excited too. I just completed my first week of a MAX rotation. Boy, my endurance really needs some work, but I'll keep at it! On the bright side, I did IMAX all the way through with NO modifications!! I'm pretty proud of me. So, here's my week!

MON: IMAX :)!

TUES: BodyMax (all of it)

WED: PowerMax

THURS: CircutMax and the first four exercises and abs of Leaner Legs

FRI: Cardio Kicks

SAT: MIS

SUN: tomorrow is a rest day with yoga and a cookout thrown in.

I've really been watching my fat intake this week and to tell the truth, I feel less bloated than usual. A good thing right? Ok, everybody enjoy the holiday weekend!!

Aimee

Great week HB, my legs would be worn out after that week too.

Aimee - your week looks great. I might try the LL portion too to get the legs some more action. Aimee and I are on about the same rotation hoping for dramatic results. It is a tough rotation though, I hope I can last for six weeks. Well ond down five to go.

Using fitday.com I have kept my food intake diary and i too am keeping my fat intake in check. Boy, those fat grams add up quickly !! The diary is a great motivator for me to eat clean and healthy.

Mon.- Interval Max with some abs
Tues.- Bodymax
Wed. - Cardio kicks with abs from Kickbox
Thurs.- Circuit Max
Fri. - MIC
Sat.- MIS
Sun. - Rest or Maybe Karrie A Angles, Lines, and Curves

Hope everyone has a great holiday.

Lynn W

Girls, you are each awesome! I would be maxed out on that MAX roatation in a week...
Honeybunch--I'll be interested to know how you like the Firm stuff you ordered. Did you get one called Sculpted Hps, Buns and thighs? I think it is mostly floorwor, and I'm wondering if I should get it...
Here is the first week of my "Easing-Back-Into-Step-Still-Taking-Care-Of-My-Knee" rotation:

MONDAY: Circuit Max with heavier weights but no legs

TUESDAY: 90 min leg workout (combo of Buns of Steel, PS floor, KV GWW floor, KS glutes, LL deadlifts and calf raises)

WEDNESDAY: rest (slamming headache :-( )

THURSDAY: GWW upper and lower, but no hamstring work (DOS in the hams)

FRIDAY: IMAX (!!!) ON THE STEP, but I had to modify alot of the impact. Cardio wise I need more, but how can I get my HR up there if my knee can't handle the impact....

SATURDAY: Reebox Circuit Challlenge (ON THE STEP ), Energy Sprint upper body, and that same leg combo from Tuesday

SUNDAY: I'll probably do another cardio, but no step

Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi...not much to post for me since I only worked out on Monday
:( My life has been hectic and I think I just need a workout hiatus to regroup. I'll be starting a Lower Body Solution rotation soon and I've been thinking about some video rotations based on the one posted on the web site. I've ordered a few new videos and of course we're all anxiously awaiting the Cathe tapes so I havent gotten the finishing touches to the rotation down yet. HB, I'd love to share some rotation ideas with you, however I only own one FIRM tape. Kudos to all of you who had great workout weeks!!!

:) Stacy

Wow! Everyone has had great weeks! Mine started off slow, but picked up towards the middle...

Monday: Overslept, barely made it to work on time.

Tuesday: CTX 10-10-10 Cardio/Triceps/Abs

Wednesday: Circuit Max

Thursday: Cardio Kicks

Friday: Body Max upper body only with abs

Saturday: Does dancing for 4 hours in high heels at a reception count as a workout??? I hope so!

Sunday: Still a bit hungover from yesterday's party...maybe some yoga, if that.

Have a great week everyone!!!

Terri

Congrats on IMAX Aimee!! That's a really good tape isnt it? After your awesome week you should really go to town at the cookout! :) Grab a burger for me, huh? ;-)
Trevor

Hi Stacy!
A week off might be just what you need. When I do that I usually come back feeling really refreshed. Hang tough!
Trevor :)

Hi Lynn!
Great week! I am gonna check out fitday over the long weekend. I'd like to get my diet inline a bit!
Trevor :)

Hey Wendy!
That's an awesome week girl! Was thinking, if you cant get your heartrate up because of your knee how bout moving the arms more above the heart? If you can incorporate more arms somehow in the course of your workout that is. I know moving the arms does get the heart moving pretty good. Just a suggestion! :)
Trevor :)

Hey Terri!
Awesome week! And yes, whenever I dance for 4 hours in high heels I always count that as a workout!! lol! :) Course, I get alot of funny looks!! No, seriously, dancing is a great, fun way to workout.
Hungover!!?? Hmmmmm....IMAX is just the thing to cure that!!
Trevor :)

Hey Honey!!
Man, your week is awesome! And I am drooling thinking about that bacon cheeseburger pizza thingy you mentioned!! I am such a cheese freak!! Post the recipe please, even if you dont think it turned out good!! Anything with cheese is good in my book. :)
Well my week turned out great actually. I fought with msn for a few days. Couldnt stay connected with their "upgraded" software but finally got it fixed. Ticks me off because their idea of tech support is some kid reading a manual back to me.
I am really feeling good about my weight workouts....clothes are getting a little tighter. I hope that's the weights working and NOT just me gaining weight from eating!! lol
I am going back to Montreal in a few weeks for the second time for work....anyone who has been there that can make some recommendations on sites, eats, etc.? I missed alot of the city last time I went.
What the hell happened to the Devils last night? I know there are a few Devils fans here! lol Geez, I start rooting for them and they forget to show up against the Avs. Must be the Capitals curse I brought upon them when I started rooting for them! Oh well, game 2 is Tues. so we'll see!
My week:
Mon. -- 30 min. all-out on the indoor bike(>100 rpm, set 14) My heart was flying. Upper body weights and abs.
Tues. -- IMAX
Wed. -- 30 min. on climber, hill workout at a fairly intense pace. Lower body weights with abs.
Thurs. -- nada
Fri. -- went berserk on the indoor bike. Resistance on 15 I went 35 mins. at 110 rpms. God, I could barely walk after that! Somehow I also did my upper body weight work with abs.
Sat. -- Bodymax....although I was really sore from friday so I did this at a lower pace than I normally would
Sun. -- nothing...gonna watch some car racing to see if Tony Stewart can survive 2 races in one day. Plus, Aerosmith is doing the national anthem at the Indy 500 and THAT should be Very interesting! Best damn rock band on the planet girls!! :) Might do a little furniture shopping.....who knows? Michelle wants new furniture AGAIN!! lol! Seems like an annual thing, I swear! :)
Take care and have a healthy week....please remember our vets!
Trevor :)

LAST EDITED ON May-27-01 AT 12:45PM (Est)[p]My gosh you ALL work out at such high intensities! I was a little overwhelmed, but then reminded myself that this check in is for my own self motivation! And I have pics of my little ones (finally) that anyone who is interested can look at.

Wed. SORE!

Andrea

Thanks, Trevor!

Yep,I have been making my arm movements a lot bigger, and since I have to keep the impact low I've been making my lateral movements a lot bigger, too. But I have snuck in a few jumps here and there, and it is amazing how much more my heart rate goes up! I think if I gradually add only a few higher impact moves in, I should be ok, but I know I'll never be doing those torturously fun moves like tuck jumps, power scissors (even regular scissors), etc. Oh, well...
Thanks for the suggestion :)
Wendy

Hi, Andrea--
Is Gays Greatest Step the new one? IF so, what do you think of it? I'm always planning for christmas, you know :)
When I clicked on your link, it tells me there has been an error, and that I am "not the owner of this album"... :-(
And finally, you are right, this is no place to compare yourself with anyone! I think I was probably pushing myself too hard for several months, knowing that everyone else was doing a lot of stuff, and I've ended up with a bad knee. Keep doing what is right for you!!!
:) :) :) Great week :) :) :)
Wendy

Wendy-
I like Gay's, but it isn't a favorite. It has enough interesting moves to keep you "into" the workout, but it isn't real instense. Good for a moderate day. I'm glad I got it, but I'm just not real excited over it. The toning portion I've only done once. I don't have tubes or a ball, so I didn't like it.

I edited my post and changed the link. Maybe it will work now.

I've been reading your leg workouts and am glad it's not me! I will definitely not push too much!

Andrea

checkin in

Hi everyone!

Wow, lots of legwork this week. Wendy, are those knees coming along? Trevor, you didn't post anything about your back. I hope that means its healing. Andrea, I couldn't get to your photo album either. Would love to see your boys.

My week:
Mon: walk/trots w/ dogs (30 min); MIS upperbody & abs
Tue: Pilates mat class (then nada - it was hot, the power went out, I was lazy)
Wed: walk/trots w/ dogs (30 min) (then lazys hit again)
Thur: Cycle 20 miles (tough hill work); Stott Pilates
Fri: Walk/trots w/ dogs (30 min); MIS upperbody & abs (did abs w/ husband)
Sat: Cycle 69 miles (mixed terrain)
Sun: Millenium Stretch

Tested the knee this week with walk/runs. The joints got a little achy since I haven't done any high impact since Easter but disappeared quickly. By Friday, I felt like I was really running not jogging but I'm still going to ramp up slowly. Did some steep hills on my bike too instead of the sit & spin climbs I've been doing. Next test is kickboxing.

Tried to talk my sis into doing the Flo-Jo Memorial 5K w/ me tomorrow. Boy, she brought up every excuse in the book.

The Pilates class is a hoot. Lots of beginners & some are moaners. It sounds like the diner scene from "When Harry Met Sally".

Enjoy your holiday everyone!
Debra

It Works!

Andrea, what cute guys (Dad too!). Can't believe how big Jakob & Trevor's Brandon are already. Seems like they just arrived.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.
