cell phone preferences

ok everyone...im gonna get a cell phone and never had one before and know nothing about them but one has got to be better then another right? I see those little tiny ones (dunno the brand) and think they are so cute and convenient but as far as price, plans, long term contracts, actual quality of calls...etc....what are your thoughts? I need some info to make a decision here..any you can add would be so great! Thanks !

There are roughly 2 billion different cell phone models. Which models are available to you depends on which cellular provider you sign up with. So first thing's first - choose a cellular provider. Then you will be able to see which cell phones they have to offer.

A good place to read reviews of different cell phones is http://www.cnet.com. (Also a good place to read reviews of just about any electronic gadget)

I've got a Kyocera slider phone, and I have Verizon Wireless service and have been very happy with both my phone and my cellular service. But you may have different needs than I do - so do some research online and make the best choice for you.

We have 4 Tracfones. I buy annual cards on each no contracts, minutes roll over and can buy more if we need it.

I always wondered about those trac phones....do they get good reception? Like sometimes when I talk to my friend, her cel will cut out and sound crappy. Also, where did u get it from?
