Cathe's June Rotation - week 2 - Wednesday- check in

Starting the thread. How is everyone doing on this? PS legs/abs and running made me very sore today. I have a massage scheduled at lunch, good thing! Will do PSback/mis back later today.

Hi everyone!

I had to change things up today, because I accidently left my step in the guest bedroom where my mom was sleeping. I had my weights out, just not my step, so I did not have a platform for bench press (chest work). So I did PS shoulders, MIS shoulders, MIS abs (skipped these yesterday), and a 30 minute walk/run. Now I will do chest work later in the week. Looking forward to taking tomorrow off.

Please excuse the interuption here, but I've been reading your check-ins with interest. I've been thinking of starting the June rotation. (I've sort of been doing my own thing for the last two weeks) and I was wondering what your overall impression is of this rotation. I'm hesitant because I really prefer to split up weight and cardio days and I enjoy doing long cardios. Also there doesn't seem to be much intensity series in this rotation. :( Do you think it would be possible to do two body parts a day and then do a cardio day in between? or would this compromise the strength gains? Can you measure any strength gains yet? Also do you find yourself exhausted or energized? I would appreciate any thoughts any of you have...Thanks, joy

Hi Stargazer. This rotation has me energized. After the slow and heavy week, I feel stronger doing the PS and MIS this week. This week is 2 segments of one body part a day. So maybe you could put in PUB for the PS or MIS parts if you want to include the intensities. I'm sure you could do 2 body parts a day if you wanted. I am really enjoying the weights before cardio and doing them on the same day. It's just different and a great change.

Today I did the Wednesday workout. I also included the abs from Power Curcuit. I am definitly ready for a day off. But I am going away this weekend, so I might workout tomorrow. I just need to figure out how to cram Fri, Sat, and Sun into one day! ;)

Hi Joy,

It's hard for me to say how much I have gotten out of this rotation so far, because I changed so many factors. I switched to exercising in the morning instead of evening because I can get my daughter to summer camp later, and I have never done a rotation with weights first then cardio and only one body part per day.

So far, I think that I have been really energized. I usually do longer cardios also, but I am finding that the cardio seems sufficient because I am tired from the weights. Sometimes on the weekends when I have more time, I am doing longer cardio. I would say that I have experienced some strength gains, and for whatever reason, I am so much more sore than usual. Don't know what that's going to mean in the long run, but I am really enjoying this rotation insofaras strength gains and energy levels. Take care, Sandra
 
I am so sore from PS legs yesterday that the kickbox today was really hard. Here I though intensity whipped me into shape, and good ole PS legs kicks my rear end, literally!!

The sun has come out, but with it an immense increase in humidity. Blah.
 
Thank you for the feedback and the invite. Tomorrow is my last day of the workout week with Friday my day off. Soooo I may come back to check in next week and give this a whirl and see how it goes...-joy
 
I just completed week one today. I did slow and heavy triceps, abs from this tape, and then did the step only portion of body max for cardio. I had the time to throw in cardio today and decided to just do PS legs/abs only tomorrow. I'm not sure if I can do both this leg tape and a cardio together. I just think my old legs would buckle under me if I tried to jump around after toruturing them with PS legs. Anyway, I felt tired during the entire workout. I think my problem was that I needed to eat something small prior to working out this morning. Lorrayne
 
I have really enjoyed this roatation ! I really feel stronger just doing one body part, and doing the weights before cardo seems to do me better. I have always been a step junkie !! I LOVE STEP ! and with doing the weights first the step seems harder.

I too have ejoyed doing this with everyone. I think about it alot when I am doing my workout that other Cathe fans are doing this too !

REST day tomorrow:)
