Cardio Coach

Okay...I decided to download the free Cardio Coach they offer thru their website. I can order now and get 20% off any of the Cardio Coach workouts. What I would like to know is which one of the Cardio Coaches you like the best and why....thanks...:)

Hi Carole!!!!

My most used cardio coaches are volumes #3, #5 and both #6's. My favorite is volume #6 (Candace's version) because it has four challenges, they are one on top of the other, the first two challenges are sprints and the hour flies by.

Carol, I'm so glad you posted this question. I only have the 1st Cardio Coach w/o and I love it, but I would appreciate input on the other 6. I find Sean to be very motivating--and I LOVE the sound of his voice. It was my first experience with an audio w/o and I was amazed at how the time flew by. It was much better than trying to do an elliptical w/o while watching TV or reading.

Hi,

I have volumes 1, 4, 5, and both 6's. My favorite one is volume 6 with Candace. There is something about her, the music, and that particular workout that really inspires me. I can't believe the way I push it to the max using Cardio Coach on my elliptical. Amazing. I love them all. I highly highly recommend them. I'm sure you too will be astounded at how hard you will work it.

Thanks ladies....I downloaded Candaces workout #6....I will do it tomorrow and let you know what I think...:)

Ladies:

How does Cardio Coach work? Do you buy them like you buy songs on ITunes and then download them to your Ipod?? I'm an idiot. Thanks in advance. These sound very cool..

Great choice is right! I didn't think I'd like her at first after growing used to Sean. But what a workout!!! I'll be surprised if you don't like it Carole. Enjoy.

Hi Carole,

I have Volumes 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Vol 2 and 3 are good 30 - 35 minute workouts that I use on a
tired or pressed for time day.

Volumes 4 and 5 are longer 45 to 55 min and they are both
my favorites when I want a longer workout. The time flys by.
I think Volume 5 has more verbal coaching from Sean.

Charlotte...you can either buy a Cardio Coach CD or download an mp3 file. As I don't have an ipod I download the file and then burn my own CD.

Cindy...thank you for your review. I normally prefer longer like 45 min or so. But if my DH keeps working out on the Elliptical I might get the shorter oned for him...:)

I did CC#6 with Candace and it is a very good interval workout. The warm ups seem longer than iTrains IMO, but depending on what resistance you use this is a very intense workout. The music was okay but along with Christine I feel the music is better with iTrains. As far as using these workouts on my Elliptical I feel still that iClimb is toughest, then CC and then iTread. The workouts at iTrain are cheaper than Cardio Coach which makes me think I might use iTrains more...thank you for all of your opinions...:)

Jenn...Cardio Coaches are audio workouts for any type of cardio machine or even running outdoors with an iPod. It is music along with a motivational instructor to guide you thru the workout. This is the site:
http://www.cardiocoach.com/

There are also audios workouts here too: http://www.itrain.com/index2.php

:)

Thanks for that analysis Carole - may have to look into itrain etc.

Thanks for this post. I'm contemplating buying cardio coach. I just tried iclimb this week. This info. will help me in the decision making process.

Carole, which iClimb wokouts do you prefer? It's hard to get a sense of what they're like because the clips are so short. The music that you hear on a clip--would it be the same throughout the entire workout? For instance, at least one of the clips featured rap music which I don't care for, but I might buy it if I had some assurance that rap music didn't dominate the whole thing.

I only have 1 CC so far and I do like it quite a bit. I love Coach Sean's voice and find it very motivating, but I would love to try some iClimbs, too. I have a neutral opinion about the music on CC. It's really the coaching that I find motivating and there's just something in that voice:+ .

Thanks for all your time, Carol.

Michele...I have 2 iClimbs #5 & #9 for 40 min. I also have iTread #3 20 min, #9 40 min and iTread #3 60 min. The music changes in the workout. So there are different kinds. I kinda prefer Greg to Grace as she whoops it up alot...:)...Grace does the iTreads and Greg does the iClimbs. Maybe just try a 20 min iClimb or iTread. I feel the iClimbs are a bit more difficult than the iTreads on an Elliptical. I have done all that I listed excpet for the #5 iClimb 40 min one. I like them all. Here is a link from a site that reviews most of the iTrains http://forum.videofitness.com/showthread.php?t=88054&highlight=iTrain
