Burning more calories: Weights or cardio?

Which one burns more calories? Just wondering.

I do both of course. I alternate between cardio one day and the next weights.
 
The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn.

Cardio's after effects last right after the cardio session is done, whereas weight training's after effects last longer.

I've heard that cardio burns more calories during the workout, but strength training gives you a longer "afterburn" by raising the metabolism for several hours (some say up to 24) after the workout.

For the best calorie-burning cardio, choose an interval workout 1-2 times a week, on non-consecutive days.
