Hello everyone!

Hope you are having a good day so far. No workout for me this am. My treadmill walking yesterday made my ankle sore and a bit swollen again. I iced it last night and it feels a bit better. Thought I would rest it today. I don't mean to be a whiner, but I am getting so frustrated with this! I feel gross and out of shape and it's so frustrating to not be able to do the workouts I know I need to do. I will just have to keep working around it I think. That being said, do any of you do HIIT? If so, can you do that on an exercise bike? There is a recumbent bike in the clubhouse of my apartment complex. I may also try the elliptical, maybe the lack of impact will be ok. Just got to do what I can. x(

Glad it's almost Friday and we have a long weekend!

Hi Thea. What a shame about your ankle! :( I do HIIT and like it. I use Cardio Coach and it's a great way to get some good heart-pumping cardio in.

I am off to the dentist. Woo hoo. I live in East Troy and it's in Whitewater---I thought of cancelling cuz of gas prices but of course it's a necessity. This is ridiculous. We are up to $3.49 here!
 
Good morning Thea, Pedmom and everyone else,

Is it the weekend yet? This week is crawling. I think it's because a long weekend is coming.

Today was supposed to be my rest day, but by the time I got home last night, then had to turn around and go back to the grocery store, I decided to go ahead and switch rest days. So this morning I did Step Blast and Leaner Legs. Tomorrow I start week three of the August rotation: the dreaded 5 a.m. Fitness Fiesta. I'm proud of myself for sticking with this rotation. Usually I quit rotations just a few days in.

I went to my first biology class last night, and I'm getting excited about school because of it. I love studying subjects like this and can't wait to get into anatomy and physiology and exercise physiology in coming semesters. I feel almost reinvigorated!

Have a great day. I'm going to have to get gas on my way home tonight :( Didn't have time to stop this morning.

Today is just upper body work. I an sooooo sore from doing KickMax yesterday, so noe cardio for me today except maybe a walk.

Thea-I hope that your ankle gets better soon. Don't get discouraged, I have faith that your ankle will get better and you will back to 100% soon.

Pedmon-Good luck at the dentist...that is not my favorite place to visit

Hi, all!

Had a dentist appt. before work so just did a quickie workout - Power Circuit (cardio only). Maybe it's just my imagination but I remember this workout as a real butt-kicker and it felt pretty easy this morning. I'm going to credit the Fat Burning Hardcore Rotation for getting me into better shape. :)

Thea - So sorry to hear your ankle is still hurting. I know how hard it is wanting to workout but not being able to. x(

Ellen - You are impressing me as much as Laurie did for sticking to the Bootcamp rotation. Good job!

Jill - So you get to go the dentist today, too, huh? I had a filling redone and my mouth is finally beginning to feel normal again. That was 5 hours ago and the dentist told me the temporary anesthetic should wear off in an hour. An hour my you-know-what!

Sue that is so funny! I was just thinking the same thing. My appt. was at 10am and the right side of my mouth is still numb 3 hours later. She also told me an hour. I am eating some yogurt now-I'm afraid to chew anything lol. I have another cavity to get filled next Thursday-other side of the mouth so she wouldn't do that one today. :( What a pain. Especially since I have to go 25 miles with gas at $3.50 a gallon!

Ellen I think you are right about the turtle speed this week is going at. We are all looking forward to a 3 day weekend. I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday. Darn it! LOL @ 5am Fitness Fiesta. Funny!

Jedi I would rather go to the ob/gyn than the dentist! But in all honesty, the anticipation was worse than the actual procedure. They've come a LONG way (baby). The shots don't even hurt because they put the topical numbing stuff on. Whew.

Well after Mon/Tue no workout, and yesteray just 22 minutes on the treadmill, I finally got a "real" workout in. I did Body Fusion and it felt great! My calves finally feel normal again. My foot hurts, but that's just something I'm learning to live with (neuroma).

I have a ? for you all. BF is kind of an AWT/circuit workout. We only use 3 lb weights for this. Is it safe to do a full body weight workout tomorrow like Muscle Endurance since we use such mini-weights today? I've done it before but kind of wonder if I'm asking for an injury.....I know you're not supposed to do heavy weights 2 days in a row, but what about light and then heavy?

I'm supposed to get my new Cathes tomorrow so I'll want to do LI Step, but thought I might try the 69 minute cardio/weight premix instead. thoughts?
 
By the way, did you all see the non announcement? LOL. Cathe said in Ask Cathe that they are still working on it. I also see that there is a delay in posting the Sept. rotation. A coincidence? Or does one affect the other? (I can't imagine how it would?).

All I know is I'm disappointed because I was seriously considering doing the Sept. rotation, as long as it isn't like August!

Well my week is going by too quickly. I have tons of things on my desk here at work to get done, but the big cheese around here is asking for some financial reports, and I'm the candidate that was selected to do the fun stuff. That just leaves all the other things on my desk. x( Oh well, I will survive.

Today will be Bootcamp. Only once. }( Then grocery shopping for the weekend.

Jill, you should have no problem doing a weight workout after only using 3 pounders for the circuit. I have done light weights in the past and then done an upper body the next day.
