Black Avia shoes in Kick Max....

Just wanted to pass on that I ordered them. If I went by their size chart, I would order either a 6.5 or a 7. I called the customer service and told the guy I USUALLY wear either a 7 or 7.5. He said to order the 7.5 and they FIT! I have them on with black shorts and white sox and they look a bit dorky (IMO!) but I think they will look nice with my warm-ups and also long workout pants. Just thought I'd share with you all who might be thinking of ordering them. They are very comfy.

Also...

I wanted to add that I thought they were too small whenI first went to try them on. You have to loosen the shoe strings down to about the third eye quite a bit to get them on and then, they fit very well. This might also be because I have a wide/pudgy foot??

Hi Debbie - I ordered them too. How long did you wait. It's been 10 or 11 days and I'm getting antsy. Also I have a wide foot. Have you worked out with them yet or are you going to break them in. I'm a litttle concerned about the width.

Hi Mar Ann! I ordered them on the 23rd. and received them on the 3rd. That would be 11 days. I am thinking Thanksgiving slowed them down a bit. You should have yours for sure I would THINK by Monday. I am in Ohio and they came for Oregon. Do you have a tracking number? I tracked mine. I have not worked out in them YET. TRYING to get down there to do my workout now. I'll let you know. I have wide feet and they feel great. Good Luck!

Hi Debbie!! I order mine the day after Thanksgiving and didn't get mine either. I didn't even get a tracking #. Where did you get a tracking #? Oh I hope I get mine on Monday. BTW why not try black socks with your sneakers?

Barbara - I didn't get a tracking # either. Also now that I think about it. I ordered the Friday BEFORE Thanksgiving so that's a long time. I'm in Rochester New York so I guess it's because of the distance. Still, I'm really antsy.

9AM-2PM PST on Saturday
7AM-5PM PST Monday-Friday

I forget where you are located? I will give the black socks a try but I have a feeling I am NOT a black-sock type of person! Ha! Guess it comes from wearing white shoes and white socks for 23+ years, eh? Hope your order comes soon. I know UPS does not deliver on Saturday.

Hi Mar! Just wanted to let you know I just finished IMax1 and survived in my NEW shoes! :7 I figured that would be a good way to test them for impact! They are very comfy and I didn't feel any breaking-in was needed. They are just fine. I think you'll be happy because I have wide feet too. Let me know when they come. Hi Debbie, TIA for the info. Im in NJ so hopefully soon. I order the size I always wear in workout sneakers which is a half size bigger then what I normally wear for just plain shoes so I hope they fit. Did they run big or small? Thanks again.

I wear 7's in most workout shoes except sometimes an 8 in Rykas because they usually run very small. I think a half size up will work for you. The 7 1/2's fit me good. Let me know.

I also have these shoes and feel that I look dorky in shorts also. They look great with long pants, but with shorts they really look funny and I did wear black socks.

Hi everyone,
I got my shoes last week. I don't have my original order form in front of me, but the packing slip says Nov 26 and I got them last Wed.
I wear a size 7 shoe and so I orderd the Avia's in size 7 and they fit fine, my toe is very close to the end of the shoe though. 7 1/2 would have worked okay too. I figure these will stretch some, my Rykas did.
I have wanted a pair of black shoes ever since I saw Keli Roberts have a pair several years ago. Now I can be Austrailian. LOL

I think these shoes are cool. I will wear them with black or colored socks. They look tough! LOL It is all what we get used to, suppose? We have worn white for so long, maybe the change is what seems weird at the momemt.(?) I'll pretend I'm super tough and think Crocodile Dundy. LOL

Ruth, I bet you look just fine in shorts.

You are right, I think it's just what we are used to. I guess I'm stuck in my comfort zone. I actually wore them while doing IMax today was worried my son was going to stop by with his friend and catch me in my WHITE sox & BLACK shoes! :eek: Maybe I need to get tough like you!
