BFL for Tuesday April 29

Liann & Kathy-I’m STILL waiting on my Tracey workouts! The mail came and they weren’t in it! She said she mailed mine on Friday….should have been here already, I’d think. Glad you guys like it so far…even the planks!

Heidi-I have the 305 as well, but can’t figure out how to get the HRM ONLY to work when I’m doing just cardio. I can get it to time me and keep tabs on my heart rate, but not calories burned. I’ll have to keep trying. As for Dave’s Famous self tanner….I wash my hands for at least 30 seconds with soap as soon as I’m done applying the tanner. Then when the tanner dries on my skin, I apply a layer of regular moisturizer. It’s at that time that I will rub my feet, toes, hands and ankles. I got that tip off the post on the OD about the tanner. I tan very easily in the summer, so I wasn’t all that concerned about being pale. So I can’t help you with that. And I only bought the moisture tan, no pack. I read from others that the scrub isn’t anything different than other scrubs.

July RTers (I apologize if those of you not going get tired of hearing about this….you can just ignore it if you’d like.) Kathy (and others)-I have 1 other roommate right now, but we’d really love to get 4 in our room. We’re all about saving as much money as possible….Jean (dreamyjeanie) is asking somebody she knows, so I’ll keep you posted if that doesn’t turn out (I have a feeling they may pass on her offer, though). Can you hold out for another day or so till I find out?????

Belinda-OH! Rhythmic Step is my FAVE Cathe all-step workout!

Melissa-WOW! That sounds like an awesome deal for CC! Perhaps…PERHAPS I’ll have to go check it out!

I’m drenched! lol When I got home from school/work, I realized the grass was dry enough to cut after yesterday’s torrential downpours. So I hopped on the riding mower, only to find out it’s not running right. So I started up the push mower and ended up push-mowing my lawn. It took me 90 minutes and I was huffing and puffing. But I’m not complaining! It’s sunny out and it’s extra cardio for the day! NOW….off for meal 4.

Gayle

Gayle - FYI, that CC deal expires on May 1st. Not trying to enable, just wanted you to know!!!:7

I am dying to use my Dave's but I don't tan AT ALL so it would be a little strange for me to show up at work tomorrow with a tan!!:p But really, who the heck cares?!?! Maybe I'll try it on my legs since I wear pants to work.

Melissa - THANKS for the May 1st heads-up! It's funny about the Dave's tanner. Somebody commented to me yesterday at school, "wow...somebody's been out in the sun". LOL

But it looks MUCH MORE natural than our 1st grade teacher who's been tanning all winter long!

Gayle

Melissa, it's not REALLY noticeable after the first use, at least on me it's not! It just gives you a little color. Does everyone else agree?

Gosh, I would hate for you to use it because of what I say only for you to wake up in the morning and find you are as tanned as a professional surfer!

LOL Stephanie! I was actually tempted to try it on my face last night, but had this awful feeling that I would wake up with a really tan face and it wouldn't quite go with my really white body!!!

Although, it would be a great excuse to call in sick!!!:p

But Melissa if you call in sick tomorrow AND show up with a tan on Thursday.....OH NO! You're boss won't believe you were sick! :p

Kathy

Stephanie - I agree it's not a drastic change after the first use. It really took me a few uses before people started asking me if I was tanning. They were shocked when I told them it was from a bottle. I had to stop using it for a little while because it started burning my skin (I must have really sensitive skin or something), but I am about to start up again because I am getting wayyyy too white!

Gayle - I can't believe you haven't gotten your DVD's yet! Hopefully tomorrow? I'm really getting sore now from yesterday's CoreBlast. That's definitely a keeper for me! I rarely get much in the way of DOMS in my core.

Melissa, I vote you use the tanner on your legs and see how you like it. Let us know what you think!

Liann, It's rare for me also to have DOMS in the ab area...I have been trying VERY hard not to be enabled with another video but...can you give me, and Melissa!, more info on this particular WO? How many WO's on the DVD, how long are they, etc. Kathy has been raving about it too, I think. ETA: oh, and the most important thing, the NAME of the WO!

Darn you all! ;-)

Melissa-I'll vote for trying it out on your legs first! At least you can cover them up if they don't look 'right'! LOL The very first time I used it on my legs, I put it on pretty thick, and right before bed. I climbed in bed after my legs dried, and it was like MAGIC when I woke up! lol But the last 2 times I did it, I put it on thinner and the color change WAS INDEED more subtle!

WHERE ARE MY DVDs?

"CoreBlast is a 45 minute workout consisting of three 15 minute sections. We all know how I LOVE to work my ABS!!!! :) This workout is unique and quite wonderful. Don’t be scared off to think you do a million ab moves. This workout is based on increasing core STRENGTH to improve your posture, make you stand taller, help target your lower back muscles and strengthen and tone weaker muscles. There are pilates moves on the mat, a whole bunch of standing moves that will help your balance and moves on the ball/bosu to really target specific areas. Included on this DVD is a HUGE surprise that has never been included on a workout DVD before. This is the perfect workout for it and your Abs will thank me later ;-p

* Section 1 - 15 minutes of standing abdominal/core strength & conditioning moves. We will warm your body and tone your muscles. Be prepared to feel muscles you never knew were there and move your body in ways you didn’t think you could! I have a variety of moves that will strengthen your mid section and get you prepared for bathing suit season.
* Section 2: 15 minutes of abdominal/core strength using Bosu OR Stability Ball (OR Modified on a bench). Think shredded 8-pak.
* Section 3: 15 minutes of mat work to strengthen, tone & sculpt gorgeous abs - we will be on the mat doing moves for your middle that will bring your muscles to their mercy. There will be a little of everything on this one, pilates, traditional with a twist and some funky new ab moves!

You will be able to mix it up and make your own workout - details to come. Equipment needed: a mat , dumb bell, stabilty ball OR Bosu.Equipment used (but not required): medicine ball, bosu, bench. This workout can be done beautifully with just a mat & a dumb bell - you decide how heavy you want to go - it’s your body."

The bonus she refers to is a segment on nutrition at the end. I haven't checked that out yet.

Thanks Liann! Looks like a great WO! My birthday is coming up and I have some cash gifts so I purchased it! Good excuse, huh?

Hope to feel the burn!

Hi,

Back from shopping with DD and picking up DS from school.

I had to go grocery shopping as well as to the bank. Busy afternoon for sure.

WOW you all have been busy!

Ok...Now that you have truly peeked my interest on two things:
Dave's tanner and (is it?) Tracy Stahl's Coreblast workout?

Where did you get them from?

Can't wait to find out!

BBL Heidi :+
