Today is a run interval and thats probably it since i have to go over to my MIL's to clean up a bit,I never did make it over there the other day....have a wonderful day:)

Happy Birthday Sherry!!! Real quick, I just want to report that I finally got my BFL upper body workout in this morning plus the cardio drills from 4DS. I got a little sidetracked yesterday doing housework and homework so it ended up being a rest day.

Great workouts planned Belinda & Amelia (or done….go Steph….man, that circuit looked tough on You Tube!)

P.S. Gayle, you asked about the Philadelphia Distance Run for next year in Sept 2009 right? That will probably work very well in my plan (I’ve tentatively put together a list of races I want to do next year). :)

Kathy-I have to apologize. lol I looked up the date on the PDR and realized it's almost a WHOLE YEAR away! LOL I'm not sure what made me think it was within a few months!

Amelia-I viewed that TT circuit and was laughing that the guy was huffing a bit just from a few seconds of each exercise! LOL

OK....I slept in! LOVED IT! We don't have school today or tomorrow, so I didn't even set my alarm. I woke at 8am and didn't want to get out of bed. I got the kiddos breakfast and hit the basement for an AWESOME LB workout (details on that below). Then showered and am doing my PC work now. Quiet day planned here, but the boys want to go for a bike ride....we've been getting out on our bikes a lot lately and they love it.

OK....today's workout was LB and I changed it just a bit from what I originally planned. It was BFL LB, first of all, as usual. But....I changed my regular squat sets to heel-raised, ATG squats. ATG=a$$ to ground. I've been a bit afraid to do this because of how low you go, worries about the knees, etc. But I did some research last night and watched a few You Tube vids and decided to give it a try. WOW! WOW! Just that.....WOW! Concrating on form, and it got me good in the quads. There are big discussions about this move over at the BFL Tracker page so I had to see what the hype was all about. It hits the quads so much more than your regular squat (upper legs parallel to the ground and no further). ANYWAY......Then I maxed on that pyramid with 88# on the leg extensions (going to 90.75 on Fri). Also, went really REALLY deep on the bulgarian squats and used a barbell for calf raises since I 'out-grew' my DBs for that move.

ANYWAY...sorry to ramble about my workout. It got me all excited, that's all.

Lol, Gayle....I just thought you were thinking way ahead. ;) The Philadelphia Marathon now has a half marathon going on at the same time, maybe that's what you were thinking of? It's in about 6 weeks. :)

Great job on the lower body! Word of caution from an old lady with a bad knee.....be extra careful on form, okay? You do NOT want a joint injury, believe me....it really s*cks! ;) I've seen people get stuck at the bottom (at the gym) with a weight that's too heavy and it's a meniscus tear waiting to happen, ugh.

Good afternoon ladies! For a holiday and being all bummed out about having to work today, it's going by pretty fast and I'm busy. It'll be over before I know it.

BFL LB for me tonight and I can't wait. I need a good LB workout!!!

I ended up doing Cardio Fusion last night and my knees are not liking me today...:confused: I must not be breathing correctly either, because every time I finish a step workout or circuit, my belly is really bloated. It goes away within an hour or so, but I find it very odd. Never happens when I bike though, hmmm...

Speaking of biking, DD finally learned how to ride her bike without training wheels yesterday. She's been ready for awhile now, but she has NO patience. I brought it up casually yesterday and she agreed to try it so DH took off the training wheels and away she went. We were out biking until the street lights came on. It was so much fun and she was so proud of herself!!

Melissa, ahhhhh, what a great accomplishment for your DD!!! I'm sure she told all her friends at school about it too! I just smiled when I read your story. Have fun tonight with your workout!

Good evening ladies! Wow that is strange saying "evening" You know I hate working out at night.

But...it was a holiday! The kids were out, so I took the day off. Crazy, that I didn't sleep in --the kids were up at 6:30! However, I procrastinated ALL day -- finally decided I HAVE to get it done!

PUB - yeah! Over and done with!

I needed a good LB workout tonight and I certainly gave myself one. My legs are still shaking. I even tacked on some bulgarian split squats and seated leg raises with 2lb ankle weights (while DD insisted we play a round on hangman)!! Ahhhh, I feel great!

Michelle - nice to see you tonight!

Steph - DD is such an expert now, ;), that she volunteered to show her best friend how to ride her bike!! They are just too funny!!
