Hope your past week went well. Please check in and get us up to date.

It's the holidays so be on guard for the food pushers. Beware, they are rampant this time of year. Repeat after me: 'that looks delicious, but no thank you'. Stand firm. Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want at the moment.

To all who enter here, please feel free to jump in and contribute. This is not a closed thread. Anyone who is currently using or thinking of using BFFM (this is the eBook by Tom Venuto called Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle) you are very welcome to join in! We'd love to hear from you.
 
Hey Burn the Fat People!

I need to take my own advice about the food pushers. A few too many cookies consumed on Saturday but overall did pretty well last week. One more pound down, 5 more to go. It comes off so slowly that 5 still seems like an eternity but I'll keep plugging away.

To help get me through the wait for new Cathe DVDs I bought some other new cardio from videofitness. One I got was Christi Taylor's Fantastic Four. I really thought I'd be lost the first time with her choreography but surprisingly got most of it. It's very dancy but admittedly it was a lot of fun. The HRM burn wasn't bad either. Really looking forward to the other three now...

I see someone posted a link to a website with lots of cottage cheese recipes. Anyone else here like me who just loves cottage cheese? It seems like either you love it or you hate it. I can't wait to try some of those recipes from that website. They all look so good.

One lb down is great! I know what you mean about the last five lbs feeling like an eternity. I often feel the same..only its 9 more for me.

Glad you liked the Tracie Long - I haven't ever tried her dvds but have been watching the clips on Collage. Hope you like the other 3 also.

I had to chuckle at the term 'food pushers'. Oh my - how true that is. I had to attend a surprise 40th on the weekend and it is unreal how often a host will insist we try one thing or another. Then I feel guilty if I don't try it bc the host may think that I either don't like her food - or - that I am rude.

I didn't see the cottage cheese recipes - but will have to look for it. I too love cottage cheese. I either eat it on the side with a salad - or I mix it with either blueberries or cantaloupe. Not too fancy as you can see - but will have to take a good look at the recipes.

TK- congrats on the lb and thanks for making me laugh... food pushers!
I have those here in my office and they love to tempt me.

I had a sort of falling off the wagon that I wrote about last week but on Sun I sat down and sorted out my meal ideas. I can exercise with no trouble but it is the food that gets me. I am trying to eat five 300 calorie meals a day. Before I was at 1800 but it wasn't working too well. I think because I always added a few extra calories into the day so if I start at 1500 I should be at or below the 1800. I did High Step Challange yesterday and Power Max today. I laughed out loud to Power Max each time she said "Looks Hot". Ha, I don't look Hot working out. I marvel at how Cathe has improved herself. Yesterdays meals looked like this:

B- oatmeal, egg
s- salad with low fat, low cal dressing
L - tuna with whole wheat crackers
s- yogurt, low fat cheese one piece
D - shrimp (with butter;( ), small piece of steak, sm amt hashbrowns

Supper bombed but my DH cooks and it all looked so wonderful. I just really watched my portions. The great news NOTHING after supper!! I got on the scale and I have lost 2 lbs of the 4.5 that I gained on my two week binge. Only 9 weeks to Hawaii but I am going to focus. If any of you have any suggestions on how to not eat for emotional reasons or stress etc it would be appreciated. I am going to try sugar free gum. When I want to put something in my mouth and I am not hungry I will reach for that instead.
