Best Vaccum Cleaner for Hardwood floors?

So, we recently moved into a house where I have over 1500 sqft of hardwood, and a dog and DH that likes to track in dirt everyday. I mop the floor at least twice a week but I'm more annoyed with the dry lint and drit and hair on a regular basis. I recently got a roomba which has been awesome but sometimes I don't want to wait for room to be swept up as long as the roomba takes. (Also, its annoying sometimes to move all the stuff out of the roomba's path that may get tangled). Any advice? I heard good things about this particular stick vacuum and was leaning toward trying it out:

TIA!

I have the shark vx3 that I use in between the dyson uses. I have not had any problems with it. It picks up dog hair and fine dirt. Not so great on carpet but good for hard floors.

I have the Electrolux ErgoRapido that you posted the link to and it works great at picking up cat hair, dried pieces of cat food and kitty litter off of my hardwood floors. The only thing is that if you use it a lot, you will need to clean the filter frequently as the pet hair accumulates pretty quickly. However, it is very easy to detach and clean the filter. Also, it doesn't have a very wide sweep (maybe 8 inches) so if you are vacuuming a large area, then it might take several passes.

That being said, this vacuum is perfect to have at hand for quick pick-ups of debris left throughout the day. For regular cleaning, you will want to have a larger/more powerful vacuum. Hope that helps!

I do know that the Dirt Devil stick thing is awful. It is soooo loud and doesn;t even pick up Cheerios. I had a cheap Swiffer vacuum for years that I loved. It picked up everything and was easy to use and quiet. I also didn't have to have the thing plugged in while I used it. It did die after about 6 years though. I may get another one and get rid of my dirt devil.
