Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and compelling account of the Road Trip with us. I laughed and cried. I'm so happy that it all turned out so well, after your series of bad luck. But in a way, I guess the bad things that happened made the good seem that much better.
 
Great story Heather. I enjoyed reading your story and meeting you
although you probably don't remember me, I will never forget you. You are truly an inspiration. I too struggle with similar insecurities,self doubt and body image issues like you do. I'm glad you have found the inner peace you have been searching for.

I was laughing and crying as I read your post. You should be a motivational speaker. Your posts are truly uplifting and inspiring and even though I haven't met you yet, I love you too. I'm glad you had such an awesome experience at the Road Trip and I hope if I get to go next year, I have the opportunity to meet you.

Reading your post was both touching and inspirational. I don't know what you do for an occupation but girl, you have quite a way with words!!! You were able to illustrate perfectly the entire theme of this past weekend. I couldn't agree more with your description of the weekend and of Cathe.

Wow wow wow. Like everyone who's responded to you, I must tell you that I laughed and I cried as I read your extraordinary "novel" about the 2007 RT. It's amazing, and beautifully said. You really REALLY should write a book about your personal journey, Heather.

Thank you (such an inadequate phrase) for your compliments to us three Coordinators -- we keep saying it because it's true: this was a labor of love and a job that we enjoyed immensely! And thank you so much, honey, for what you've said here and on your thread at "Ask Cathe" about me and our chat on Saturday. I really appreciate the accolades, but sweetie, it was YOU who pulled that game face back out of your pocket. You're underestimating and undervaluing your own formidable strength. Cut that out! ;-)

I posting on your "Ask Cathe" thread too because I shamelessly want to say "ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!" about what you wrote re: Cathe, Chris, Nancy and the rest of the amazing and wonderful Cathe Dot Com crew. I couldn't say it better if I edited for hours, so let me piggy-back onto your beautiful words with a "ME TOO!" We Catheites are indeed very blessed to have Cathe and Chris and company as a part of our lives. It doesn't surprise me at all that Cathe and Chris have surrounded themselves at Cathe Dot Com with a small, loyal, hardworking group of honest, decent, kind, friendly people. Birds of a feather, ya know? ;-)

I have not one shred of doubt, Heather, that you'll meet every one of your personal goals, and I am looking forward to watching this community share in your joy as you achieve those goals. I'll be cheering with everybody else.

I hope you're beginning to catch up on some sleep, sweetie pie. You were (as my mama would say) outta gas and runnin' on a prayer and a fume this weekend, and I'm sure that contributed a lot to your struggles on Saturday. This week I want you to concentrate on sleeping well, eating well and nourishing yourself in every way. You deserve it so much!

And do not EVER forget that YOU ARE OUR Beloved Heather!!!!!! You are a treasure to us. Do ya know that by now?? Are you feeling it, deep in your bones?? If you're not, we're ALL gonna keep reminding you!

It was such a blessing being able to finally meet you on the RT! Jenn and I were talking about you on Monday. We thought you were such a sweet woman!! I had no idea you had moments of feeling down during the RT. I always saw you in good spirits. I didn't see you in the women's locker room when Ed was breaking open our locker during the second presentation. I didn't take a good look at you when you came into the studio. I saw you come in and Cathe getting a chair for you. I apologize for not realizing that you were sad. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You've come a long way!!!

If you want some pictures of you doing an awesome job in the circuit relays, I have some on my picturetrail. I don't think they are of you behind!;-)

Hi Heather,

Like others, I was anxiously awaiting your RT novel because I knew it would be well worth the read... & it truly was. I laughed, I cried, & I felt so many other emotions that I really couldn't begin to name them all. Bless your heart. You are such a precious soul. I am so glad you had such a wonderful, spriritual experience on the RT & I think my only regret in not going (I didn't even try because I knew I couldn't make it anyway) is that I didn't have the opportunity to meet you in person. Okay, I regret not getting to meet Cathe & the crew too but I think that's a given. So I just wanted to write & let you know how much it meant to me to relive your RT experience through this "novel". Thanks for taking the time to post it & I hope that maybe one day I too will have the privlege of meeting you in person. Until then, I will keep in touch with you here!:)

Beloved Ones:

Thank y’all for your warm and encouraging responses! I regret not getting to meet the ones who did not attend this year and not having more personal time to spend with the ones who shared this amazing experience with me. The whirlwind weekend of excitement and emotion was over way too soon for me personally. I was hoping to be more of a blessing to everyone. I was not expecting to have an emotional and mental meltdown Saturday afternoon. I sincerely wanted to spend more time encouraging Cathe, her crew, the coordinators, and my Road Trip sisters, but I was so overwhelmed emotionally. I went to give love and encouragement and never intended for this weekend to be about me. I received much more love and encouragement than I gave, and the power of love is changing me. Unless you met me on Thursday or Friday, you did not get to see me when I was the fun and joyful Heather most of you know and love through these forums. I was not as positive and energetic as I usually am after that. It is comforting to know that I am loved and accepted even when I am tired and emotional. I watched a video clip from the Sunday morning kickboxing class, and I looked as tired as I felt. Talk about bad form! I definitely did not need my weighted gloves that I left at home! I did not have enough energy to lift my arms at that point!

Thank you again for lavishing me with love and treating me with such kindness and compassion. Y’all rocked my world. It is 10 days later, and I still do not have words to share how that amazing weekend blessed me and transformed me. If God gives me a do-over on this, I hope and pray that I will be much more positive and uplifting next time and give some of the love I received this year!

If I had it to do over again, I would have taken more pictures too. Thankfully, Cynthia captured many of the precious memories for me. I started making the rounds at Adelphia’s and the Five Points Diner and got distracted both times.
