Hi everyone,

Beth and Chris I hope both of you get well very soon.

My ankle is better after being off of it for 3 days. This week starts my new weekly rotation still with lower body solution and since I liked working my upper body one part per day I will continue to do that.

Sun - Rest
Mon - SS Lower Body Standing + plus MM Back
Tue - Basic Step + MM Chest
Wed - L&G Floor only + Leslie option 3 (3 mile)
Thu - Lowerbody Cardio Blast + MM Shoulders
Fri - PP Lower Body Standing + MM Biceps
Sat - KPC Cardio Conditioning + MM Triceps

Hi,
I'm here and back in action. Today's workout was turbo jam's cardio party remix. I absolutely loved it. May have to rethink my ban on the future workouts. Also, I'm itching to get the new tae bo's, but I'm trying to wait for reviews.

Kim-your one upper body part a day looks interesting.

BTW-Today's my birthday :)
 
I just walked again today. My entire lower half still feels stiff and sore from all the kickbox and floor work I did last week. Its probably a good rotation but I don't think my body can handle it. I'm also still dealing with husband out of town and sole responsibility for this very aggressive alpha male puppy. We're having a battle of the wills and whose in charge thing (me) that I need to drill into him.I think it is physically wearing me down, plus having to go out in the cold morning and night with him (which my husband had been doing) and the cold air makes me stiff and sore! I'll check in every day but don't expect to see much exercise done until hubby is back in form Wednesday.

This morning I did Supersets Lower Body Standing. My thighs were really burning!!:eek: My DVD player stopped at only 25 minutes of that chapter but it's supposed to be 33 minutes. It was odd because there wasn't a stretch after the workout. Then I did Muscle Max Back only with heavy weights which was 8 minutes long. Right after that I knew my DVD player wasn't working correctly because it went directly to the leg workout in Muscle Max when it's to stop. I have another DVD player so I will switch them when I get home this eveving. I also did a 4 minute stretch from Muscle Max. Wow my workout was only 37 minutes long today. I guess that good for a Monday because I was really dragging this morning. Has anyone looked at the new Food Pyramid at Mypyramid.org? I put my age and my workout time in the profile and it was very interesting. It has really changed from what it use to be.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

I looked at the mypyramid.org site and (as I already suspected)I am not getting my required fruit, veggie and dairy. I think I hit the the dairy on some days, but not everyday.

Kim-at least you got it done this morning. I was lounging in bed and looking at the infomercial for mygym. Before I knew it my exercise time was gone. I'll have to get it in after work today.

Beth-I guess you'll be focusing on stretching out those tight legs.

since I can't edit my last post, here's a new one

Tonight I worked out with my free itrain progra on my elliptical. The coaching influence can be addicting as you keep trying to push. I kept telling myself that no one's here to pick me up off of the floor-hehe.:7

I did a lot stretching but it didn't help much! I hate feeling so banged up.
I did get in Cardio Sculpt (Firm) with Lisa Kay. Its a nice easy 30 min cardio. Then I did Lean leg abs-stretch and the 2 ball stretches. I did feel good afterwards and for a few hours at least. Tonight my back is KILLING me. I think I have been doing a lot of bending, reaching, and grabbing of the new pup that has thrown my back out or something. I need my husband to get home and crack my back.

Hi everyone,

This morning I did Cathe Basic Step plus Muscle Max Chest. Muscle Max Chest was only 5 minutes. I guess when I do parts the key is to use heavy weights with good form. The parts on Muscle Max are very short even shorter than CTX Upper Body. The only one that looks like it might be longer is MM Shoulders. I am glad they are short since I am really focusing on my lower body this rotation. I also did MM Stretch which was 4 minutes. 34 minute workout and my legs feels like they are really getting workout:7

Tuesday-I just cleaned house today-kinked up my back some more, but then put on a heat wrap. Whoever invented those deserves a Nobel prize.
Tomorrow I'm going to have my husband do dog duty all morning so I can workout long and lite. Not sure what I'm doing yet though!

Hi everyone,

It's Wednesday morning and I did Leg and Glutes Floor work only which was 11 min. That was a tough floor workout to me. I had to modify the glute sweep :eek: I did the warm up of Leg and Glutes which was 4 minutes. I also did Leslie but was to do the 3 mile but I just did 1 mile which was only 14 min. I like it when she starts off at a fast pace because it really felt good to my legs. 30 minute workout for me today. I thinking about getting Stretch Max where some days in the evening before going to bed I could just stretch for a while. I find myself stretching alot at work.

This mornings workout was Cathe basic step. I usually redo sections 2 & 3 but I didn't have it in me this morning. Besides I consider it a major feat to have gotten up after not doing morning cardio for two weeks.

I think I'm going to focus on short workouts this week to ease back into getting my endurance up.

Sidebar-I bought Gin Miller-Simply Endurance cause it got good reviews and I've always wanted to try Gin. The workout was strange to me cause it was her working out but it was a voice over. My understanding is her Bella Strength is also like this. I've never seen a workout with a voice over and I wonder what makes them (the instructor) do this.

I tried Leslie's Walk and Jog from Netflix today. It was pretty tough. I'm going to keep this one for a while and do it several times to see if I stay interested enough to buy it. AFter that I did my Denise Austin Pilates. I hate Denise but I love her PIlates workouts. Then this afternoon it finally warmed up enough to swim. My swim muscles have completely atrophied after being off for 3 weeks. But it really loosened up my back-finally-also wore another heat wrap all day. I think I will be back to normal tomorrow and do a full body weight workout. My energy level will determine which one-Push Pull, Wedding video, and Muscle Endurance are my top choices. At some point I may finally start my CTX week!

Hi everyone,

This morning I did Lower Body Cardio Blast from LIS. I only did 20 minutes of it. My lower body needs an extra rest day. I just couldn't get me legs to move like I wanted them to. This lower body solution really works on your leg muscles and I am doing the intermediate lower body solution rotation. The advanced lower body solution is tougher than this. Right now I think I need to do this rotation for 5 days a week instead of 6 days a week. I am going to take rest day tomorrow and on Saturday I will do this workout again because I really wanted to complete it.

I've done the lower body cardio blast from LIS and it is pretty tough. I used heavier hand weights instead of the ball during the leg segments though.
Today I did Push Pull. I went 1 step lighter than usual on the weights. Then I did the band stretch from Stretchmax. I felt a nice pop in my back on the leg crossover stretch and i think I have finally unkinked my back!
Tomorrow will be Basic Step or Low Impact Step, and swimming and stretching again.

Tonight I did turbo jam cardio party. I was tired at work, but I came home and got my workout in.

Today I did Low Impact Step. My legs were still burning from Push Pull yesterday, so I modified the blasts to steady state cardio. Just kind of barely made it through. So tomorrow I need to do something light, like maybe my Kathy Smith Yoga. I usually rest on Sundays but maybe I will just do the very light yoga for my rest day tomorrow, then upper body/abs on Sunday. I have to play it by ear day to day while I'm still recovering from overtraining.

Hi everyone,

I took an extra rest day today. I turned in early and it felt really good to sleep an extra hour longer. Lets see how I do tomorrow with Lower Body Cardio Blast.

Hi everyone,

Well this morning I did Lower Body Cardio Blast. Since I took a rest day yesterday I was able to do the entire workout but it was just a little tough. My legs had an extra day to recover and it made a big difference in my performance. I think I will start working out 5 days a week because it seems to me my body isn't getting enough recovering time besides just going to sleep at night. I think this will make a big diffence in my fitness performance.

I forgot to mention that Lower Body Cardio Blast is only 32 minutes but the Premix says its 49:06 minutes. Beth, did you notice that?
