Hi everyone,

Today starts my new rotation week and Sunday is a rest day for me. Actually I rested yesterday to so I could rest my body for my new rotation. I am doing the Lower Body Solution rotation for the next 4 weeks. My first week doing the LBS Rotation is:

Sun - Rest
Mon - Muscle Max Lower Body (23 min)+ abs plus CTX Back (12 min)
Tue - KPC (Kick & Punch incl abs) plus CTX Chest (10 min)
Wed - GS Floor (incl w/u) plus CTX Shoulders (10 min)
Thur - Leslie Advanced (3 mile option 45 min) plus HSC abs (10 min)
Fri - SS Lower Body Standing (33 min) plus CTX Biceps (10 min)
Sat - Lower Body Cardio Blast (49 min) plus CTX Triceps (15 min)

I am going to add in another day of abs either on Wed or Friday to make 4 days of abs per week. Wish me luck on this rotation. I also took before pictures and will take pictures after I finish this rotation to post on a picture trail.

Hello,

Today I did cardio party. Sunday is a busy day for me cause I do my cooking for the week. I did not come up with a plan for this week yet, but my goal is to workout at least 5 days. I'm coming back from being sick and not exercising for 5 days. I will take it easy for a few days.

Kim, how do you like the new leslie workout? Did you do the whole thing yet? Is it so different than the other workouts like the 3 or 4-mile? Do you use the gadgets like the donut weights, the belt, etc.?

Tuesday-Mega Step Blast (w-up, seg 1 and 2, cool down and stretch)
Wed-PS Upper and Abs
Thursday-Power Circut and PS Lower
Friday-KPC (I Intensity drill and combos 1 and 2, abs)
Saturday-Push/Pull or Bootcamp (depending on how I'm feeling)

I've never done a Leslie workout, can I assume I'll need my treadmill??? It's not set up in the same area as the rest of my workout equipment...

No equipment is needed for Leslies' walks; optional is hand weights or dynaband. You don't even need a very large space.
I'm doing my own lower body solution when I get my new Karen Voight DVD with the Pilates ring. Its going to be all kickboxing, Pilates and floor legs (and walking.) Can't wait!

Hi Chris, just saw your last post from last week. I haven't tried the 10 minute solution. I noticed Netflix has a ton of Pilates dvds. I'm sticking with Karen Voight and Denise Austin for now. I have Denise's original one, JH Pilates matwork, and have in my que the Hit the Spot Pilates. I have 5 total Karen's in my que (done 2 already) and I bought one already I was so impressed.
I'm going to try out cardio coach this week during my walks becuase my husband is out of town and so it will keep me company. Maybe I will walk faster too, who knows? I'll let you know how I like it. I got vol 2.

Hi everyone,

This morning I did Muscle Max Lower Body. Even though the Lower Body of Muscle Max was 23 minutes long it was a killer workout. Whew!! The ab work in Muscle Max is 10 minutes so I did that also. Plus I did CTX Back only. My workout today was 45 minutes. Chris, I love the new Leslie 5 mile which is 70 min. I like the options too and you don't have to use the handweights, walk belt and stretchie. They have a person in the workout that is not using those items at all.
I think it is worth getting if you don't mind walking indoors. Leslie is quite chatty but you have the option for music only.

I'm still trying to figure out my new pilates/kickbox/floor legs rotation. I think I'm going to have to experiment a few days to get the right rhythm. Today I did Kick max warmup and combos, at 33 minutes. Then KV Abs and Back, which was 42 minutes and quite good. It was Pilates , traditional abs, and back strenthening with supermans and swims. Also I sandwiched in MIS chest. I'm going to try 1-2 upper body parts a day with MIS. My UB stays well toned with just one workout a week. I want to de-bulk my legs and see if extensive floor work will help cellulite. I'm interested in seeing how several weeks without weighted squats and lunges does to my legs-good or bad. I just want to know.

Hi everyone,

This morning I did KPC (Kick & Punch 41 min) plus CTX Chest (10min). I am trying my best to keep everything under 1 hour. Right now I am doing KP at 80% capacity level. It's is hard for me doing everything on the left side 100% since I am right handed. My hands and legs just don't want to do it the right way x( This is actually my first time doing upper body parts and my chest was shaking a little bit afterwards and I used light weights. I forgot to give my progress report at the end of last week but I lost 7 pounds since last month docs visit. I weighed myself this past Saturday. Inches are really starting to come off especially my back end. My coworkers even stated that I am trimming down:D

Hello All --

Good job on your progress Kimberly!!

I really need to start taking advantage of the extra time on the weekends to work out -- it seems like I always start posting after my Monday workout. I didn't get up early yesterday, so I worked out in the p.m. The one advantage I do find with working out at night is that I'm not as hungry for supper. However, I do love the "high" I get from working out the morning. Makes you feel good all day long!

What are you gals using to track your progress? I just started on sparkpeople.com yesterday. LOVE IT!! I'm not good with tracking calories -- and this made it so simple!!

Today was karen v's "Yoga Sculpt". It was traditional standing poses for about 25 min then some floor pilates/yoga combo. I liked the standing better than the floor becuase the floor was mostly teaser and endless plank work/down dog. This one's a rental. I'm going to do it a couple of more times before I decide if i want it.
I'm doing puppy duty by myself this week and its cutting into my time. He needs a lot of attention and is already starting to act out with my husband gone for the week. I going to have to play this week's workouts by ear. Tomorrow I'm scheduled for kickboxing and MIS back, with stability ball abs. My new DVD arrives tomorrow night so I will do that Thursday, the Pilates with the ring workout.}(

Hi everyone,

This morning was GS Legs Floorwork only. I also did the GS warmup and stretch. The workout including the warm up and strech is 30 minutes. I had to modify some of the moves though. I need to learn to program my DVD because it doesn't offer floorwork only without fast forwarding through the standing leg session. Has anyone ever programed their DVD to workouts? I also did CTX shoulders which was 10 minutes. This was a good 40 minute workout.

Hi Ladies,
I feel so bad not being able to post anything worthwhile. I haven't gotten back to exercising yet. I was home from work for like 5 days. I'm back at work this week, but I'm very tired. I did work out saturday, but I felt very sluggish-almost like I couldn't finish the workout. I got through it, but it was mostly low impact.

Oh well, hopefully I'll get back into it soon.
 
Don't feel bad - we all have set backs!! And don't think you can't post just because you haven't worked out -- this is what keeps us motivated!! We need to keep in touch, even when we aren't working out consistently! Hang in there and take it slow!

As for me I did supersets last night. My husband put a ceiling fan in my workout room -- and that has made all the difference!! :)

I'm still trying to keep track of my calories with sparkpeople.com and I really think I'm finally going to get all this nutritional stuff figured out!!

Kimberly, you shouldn't need to program the DVD player. Just use Cathe's "chapters" menu. Select the warmup, and when its done push the menu button and select the start of the floor legs section. When you use "chapters" it will play all the way through to the end starting with the leg chapter you select. (When you use mix and match, it will return you to the menu after each section. Don't use this or you will be returning back to the menu after each floor leg part.) You can use chapters and mix and match to create whatever workout you want on every Cathe DVD. And her body blast series have the workout blender which lets you program in everything from the start. Of course, it has so many premixes I can hardly think of what else I would want to do!
Today I did the Kicmax blasts and added on the first 3 blasts from IMAX 3. I totally hated the entire 35 minutes. MY HR wasn't even as high as it is during the KPC combos and that is a much more fun workout. I decided I hate IMAX 3 totally, every part of it. And I hate the KM blasts too. x(
After that I did MIS back and Gin Miller stability ball abs. I did a 30 min walk this afternoon using vol. 2 cardiocoach. It was just OK. I wasn't doing the hills, just getting the feel of the DVD. I think if I play it again it will be music only. The music is pretty motivating.

Chris, I hope you feel better very soon but don't rush it. Beth, thanks for telling me about this. I was wondering why chapters and mix & match had the same workouts in them. I just tried the way you told me with the chapters and it works. Boy do I feel like a DVD dummy! :eek: I had my DVD book by my bed every nite reading trying to find out how I was going to program these workouts :7

Hi everyone,

This morning I did Leslie (option 2)3 mile walk which is actually 36 minutes. I also did CTX Biceps (10 min). I just looked at my rotation and instead of doing CTX Biceps I was to do Stability Abs from HSC. I goofed up. I will have to do abs tomorrow or Saturday.

Beth-You don't like cardio coach? I don't have it, but I was thinking about getting it. I was thinking about #5 because its the longest.

Kim-I'll be back with you and the group next week. I plan to do something easy on sat and sunday.

I ordered the new turbo jam live workouts. I think I'm over the fascination. Booty Sculpt sucks, but cardio party remix has a bangin' beat.

Have you guys ever had an account with flicketyfit? I just joined and am hoping my experience will be good.

Cardio Coach just didn't appeal to me. I got distracted having that guy talk to me all the time with his silly motivational words. Just tell me how fast to go, that's all I want. I guess I am just not interested in having a "coach"!!!!
I got my new Karen Voigt DVD and Pilates ring. I did the Total Body Training today which is legs, buns and abs work. It is pretty hard with that ring. Its probably best done alternating with standing legs rather than as your only leg workout. I feel like I need a couple of days off tonight. But tomorrow I may feel differently. I may just do upper body tomorrow. I need to finish out MIS sholders, bis and tris.

I needed a rest day so I took it. I also got a lot done today so I can relax tomorrow and not fight the crowds at the stores. I will probably finish MIS and then do some ab work.

Hi everyone,

I didn't exercise today because my ankle is a little sore. I don't think its from exercising. I think it's because I wore boots to work two days in a row and my ankle wasn't supported. I will probably not exercise tomorrow either. I really wanted to finish this weeks Lower Body Solution Rotation. I have my ankle wrapped up and I put some icy hot on it. Hopefully that will help and I can pick back up on Monday.
