Wow, I thought my abs were in great shape until I tried the banana rolls in P90X Core Synergistics. I actually felt like my lower abs were on the verge of pulling a muscle. Has anyone out there mastered these?

They are fun and I can now do them fairly easy. But, at first they are pretty tricky and not so easy. The more you do them, the stronger your core will get and the easier they will be.

LOL - Marie, you start on your back with arms and legs raised (so you look like a banana, sort of), then you roll to your side and keep that same position, roll onto your stomach, so you're doing a superman, then onto your other side, then over onto your back, all the while keeping your legs and upper body raised off the floor. It's a lot tougher than it sounds.

Well, wait, are your arms over your head or at your sides? Because this does sound like you're rolling around in a straight jacket!! LOL (Also, it does not sound EASY at all!)

I'm another HUGE banana roll fan!!! LOVE THESE! I could do them from day 1, but my core is uber strong from years of being an abs training fanatic. I'd have to say, however, that my favorite move on CoreSyn is Bow-Boat - doing those transitions, completely using your core (no cheating with your hands or legs), just ROCKS.

Oh man, I'm jealous! I guess the good news is that this rotation is obviously hitting me in my weak areas that I didn't even know existed.

Superman...banana..superman.....banana.....superman..banana....superman...banana...!

Tough, but 'fun" (in that "I'm kind of a masochist" kind of way).

Those things are insane!!! I haven't been successful on my back, but that may be due to a c-section I had (almost 2 years ago). I am only in Phase 1, week 2 so I will have to report later on and tell you all if I got any stronger. I am less tired this week:) .
