Anyone from Green Valley, Arizona?

My DH just flew into Tucson and he is staying in Green Valley. I was windering if there is anyone from there.

WOW!! This is his first time there for work. His first time to fly too. Any place you recommend to eat (or your parents I guess)?

Yes yes yes - there is a wonderful little place right on La Canada - it's called Marti's Bistro - everything is made fresh everyday. My parents are great cooks but they get her to cook for them all the time. It's in a shopping center. The only downside is it closes at 2:00 - she doesn't open for dinner. Just breakfast and lunch but it's totally worth it. Not expensive either.

Sabrina - they've tried other places, but they like this the best. The owner is always there - if he gets a chance, tell him to tell her that Frank and Edna sent him - that'll confuse the heck out of everybody LOL (he'll get good stuff too ;-)). 101 S. La Canada, Green Valley - 520-625-0326

Julie-I will tell him thanks. I don't know what his schedule is like but hopefully he can find time to go there. This trip he is there until Saturday. Sounds like there will be other trips. I would love to go with him sometime but the kids would have a fit (unless they got to go too). Do you live close by?

I live in Pasadena, CA. We went to Green Valley a couple of months ago and we'll be going for Mother's Day. It's a really nice town (small but still...). They used to live here, but then moved to Vegas about 10 years ago. That got so crowded, they decided to look around and fell in love with Green Valley. Quiet etc. There isn't a lot to do there though. I usually go for a run while I'm there (nice place to run and feel safe - the air is clean). There's also a very cool art colony/tourist type place called Tubac a few miles down the road. Haven't had a chance to check out much more yet. My parents are not as old as most of the people there so it's been interesting. My mom is amazed at how many of those elderly people walk. One lady in her 80s walks 10 miles every single day! All the communities there have health facilities and tons of classes - I'm amazed. I'd like to check out some of the yoga/pilates type stuff sometime.

I dont think my DH has to go back that soon or we could maybe get together. I will have to ask him if he knows when the next time will be. Sounds like a very nice town though. I hope I can go with him sometime.

I will have to let you and Julie know when he is there next and I hope I can go too. I am glad he is there when it is so nice. We live in Illinois so it is a little bit of a ways away.
