YES! I have FMS. I also have osteoarthritis. It's not the end of the world, it's just something that's mine that I have to 'mind'. In fact my diagnosis was like a new beginning sort of, because this mystery illness (that often I wondered if it was terminal) had a face ,and I could do things to help control it, I had power to arm myself with knowledge. It was a great feeling (and knowing it wasn't going to kill me - that had my jumping for joy, too - I really thought I had something deadly for a long time). I was diagnosed 7 yrs ago, but had the condition for many years previous, and I had been to doctors for years - my entire early and mid- twenties- without getting a diagnosis and being tested for everything under the sun (just like you maybe, and the rest of us FMS people, probably). that was very frustrating. Things are great now that I have my health under control, because I have some control over the situation. I have good days and bad days, but the good definitely outnumber the bad. :) Please feel free to email me, too-i'd love to chat with you. [email protected]

Hello,
I also have fibromyalgia. Yes mornings are hard getting me to move my body is stiff and alot of my pain is in my feet. On my really bad days I have started doing a short 10 min section of either denise austin fat blasting yoga on the stability ball or quickfix with keli roberts on the ball. This stretches my sore muscles and then I am ready for something harder like Cathe. Also I have pretty much gotten my fibro under control by eating the right foods. I have discovered certain foods cause my fibromyalgia to get worse. I also take liquid coral calcium. If I stick to it 2 times a day taking the liuqid calcium. I dont' have any pain at all. But when I forget the pain comes back. I have been pain free sometimes for months then I slack on my eating and taking my calcium then I have the pain again. You can be pain free. I also have colitis, endometriosis, rheumatoids arthritis with the fibromyalgia. I keep it all under control with absolutely no medications through eating a good diet and taking my calcium.

Misty, please explain this liquid coral to me, and where do you get it?? Hey I have endo and colitis too...misery loves company huh?? haha Tell me also a little about your diet and what are the "trigger" foods and what are the good ones...look forward to your response

Hello,

I have included the web address where i get my coral calcium. I tried the pills but because of the colitis I just couldn't absorb them. This calcium works great. I noticed a difference very quickly taking it. Personally I took 2 a day sometimes 3 times on bad days.

The foods that really trigger my fibromyalgia are nuts, chocolate, peanut butter, processed meats like hot dogs bologna, and sugar, for instance Saturday I ate 3 pieces of pie which was full of sugar and I hadn't taken my calcium in a week so Sunday I was stiff and my feet hurt. But I coudln't turn it down it was freshly picked cherries and my mom made a pie and boy was it good but she added alot of sugar. Everyone is different though you might have allergies to totally different foods. Getting myself to exercise was a little difficult that day. But i stretched first then I was o.k. From what i have read fibromyalgia patients are lacking magnesium along with alot of other vitamins due to colitis. That is why the calcium works so well it has magnesium in it. Also I read that fibromyalgia patients muscles are tight when we get up in the mornings and that is why we need to stretch a little longer than other people before we exercise. All the things we have are an autoimmune disorder.

For a long time I took a liquid vitamin also called truwell lmv gold. www.truwell.net If you have colitis and problems with your ulcers and inflammation this product is amazing. I was in misery for 11 months with my colitis I tried everything and within 2 days of taking this I was healing inside. It healed me so fast it was unbelievable. I haven't had to take it in a week I have been doing great for awhile and I am trying to wean myself off everything and live like a normal person again because the liquid vitamins are expensive.

But watching your diet is utmost of importance. I love sweets. But i have learned moderation and when to turn them down. I watch out for bread products yeast is a real problem. I eat alot of fruits and vegetables. I stay away from greasy foods. I eat chicken breast and turkey. I try to eat as natural as possible. Try to keep stress away. Peanut butter kills me. I think it is almost the worst of everything. I am going to try natural almond butter and see how that goes because I love peanut butter.

I would suggest keeping a diary of what you eat and how you feel. You can have a delayed reaction up to 48 hours after you have eaten something you are allergic too it will not necessarily be immediate.

I hope this will help you.

I wanted to ad one more thing, I have purchased many a book trying to get as much information as possible. I want to recommend one book that made a difference for me more than any of the others I read it was very informative the author is Doctor Gloria Gilbere and it is called:
