i got this cd recently and i like it but she sounds SO much like someone else and i can't put my finger on it!!! is it Alannis or Sarah Mclaughlin? or Natalie Merchant......it's driving me nuts. help!

I think she sounds a bit like Jewel. And I really like that song "Breathe".

I downloaded her CD from iTunes and I really love it! She's got a very unique voice (it IS kinda like Jewel). And she writes her own stuff, which is so refreshing in this day of pop stars who have all their music and lyrics written for them.

maybe that's it! i hadn't thought about Jewel, hell maybe it's all of them. ya know how you can tell which singers a person grew up listening to by who they immulate........

The first time I heard her I thought she was my beloved Fiona Apple. She has that same wispy but strong voice. But alas, she was not.
