I'm wanting to buy some firm workouts which i have never done before. Since i'm doing more light weight lower intensity stuff i think these workouts would be great. I'm looking for total body toning with cardio all in one workout. Can you suggest any for me? There are so many to choose from and i'm so unsure of which one to get. I want to get like 3 of them to start with.

I loved the original Firms, so if you want 3, I would recommend the original Volume 1 with Susan Harris, Volume 2 with Janet Jones, and Volume 3 with Sandahl Bergman. (I don't know what their titles are now. They were originally called just vol 1, vol 2 and vol 3!) They're wearing leotards with matching socks, etc, but if you can get past that, they're great workouts! The workouts are an hour long, but the hour just flies by. They're total body workouts w/cardio & weights all in one, and sound exactly like what you're looking for.

I still pull out Vol. 2 once in awhile and do it. I think it's probably one of my favorite workouts of all time. When i was doing these exclusively, I was really toned and my butt looked fabulous!

There was also a set that came out I think under the titles Strong Heart and Strong Body (one is a little more cardio focused, the other a little more strength). It was the two workouts. I always liked that set. I don't remember who the instructors were and they've changed most of their titles, so I'm not sure if they're still called the same thing.

I used to like Super Cardio, Super Sculpting, Calorie Killer 2, Super Body Sculpt. FYI--If you buy from Collage Video and don't like what you buy I believe you can return it.

I'd say vol 2 is my all time favorite. The Tortoise and The Hare were a great set. The Hare is very low impact and is based off dances like tango, cha cha, etc... with some sculpting segements. Tracie Long was the instructor. Super Cardio and Super Sculpting were my favorites for a long time. They were more updated. I believe the inscructors were Jennifer Carmen, Allie Del Rio, Clarissa, and Dale.

HTH,

I don't really like the older Firms, so I can't recommend any of those, but one fairly solid workout from the "newer" era is Complete Aerobics and Weight Training with Emily Welsh. I also really liked the workouts with the Firm Box (although the box was horrible, I use the Transfirmer with these) - Complete Body Sculpting and Total Muscle Shaping. The set was dark and the instructors look really skinny, but the music was awesome and music does a lot for me in workout DVDs.
