aerobic floor

I need suggestions on what to do to make my ceramic-tile floor shock absorbant. I do not have carpet anywhere in the house and I don't have an excersice room, so I need something I can put on and take off after I'm done working out. I have been working out for years at the gym without any problem. However, I discovered Cathe here in the forums and I have been working out with her videos ever since, but I have gotten two injuries so far. One on my knee a few months ago and my lower back just this week. I will welcome any suggestions since I have invested in so many of her workouts already. Thank you in advance.

You should definatly invest in some of those click together foam mats. A friend of mine uses them, and says they work great.
Here's a site I can't say anything about the price so I would compare. But, just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I just bought the 4 pack of foam tiles from Target for just under $15. I actually bought 2 packs, but I haven't used them yet. People have mentioned that the same ones are at Sam's Club also.

If the foam tiles are slippery on the ceramic, Home Depot and Lowes sell those thin carpet underlayment to prevent sliding.

We had to do this on our front hall carpet runner because it slips on the wood floor,

I have the foam puzzle mats over ceramic tile in my workout room. I love them! I have them wall to wall, so there is no slipping.

A word of caution... you really need TWO layers of them over ceramic tile. One layer just isn't enough cushion for your joints, especially if you're doing aerobics of any kind.

Check out the link below to see pictures of the room. I got mine at Home Depot, but it was about 3 years ago.

Thank you soo much for your ideas and the pictures helped too. Very nice room you got there. I wish i can have my own excersice room one day too. I won't loose hope. Thanks again to every one that answered. :)
