50 and over weeks of April 18 & 25 check-in

Good morning, Y'All!

Cathy, there's an old saying, "To each his (or her) own." Each of us has to do what works for us.

More First Communions today--more avoiding lunch. :eek: But it will be okay. Next week, we are going home to Atlanta to see DIL, DS and my grandson, so we skip the next-to-the last week of FCs and the last week is only one service, so there won't be any lunch that week. Yes, next weekend, I can battle with home food, like grits, biscuits, barbecue, etc. :eek: I am sure I will probably have some home food (well a person has to live some!), but I can also be moderate in my choices, and it's only 3 days or so.

My workout today is climbing up and down that flight of steps to the choir loft more than once. Believe me, that's a workout!

Where is everyone? Is it my breath or something? :eek:

I did Basic Step and stability ball abs this morning. I was still tired from the Zyrtec I had to take Saturday night to stop the allergy migrane I was getting, so I decided not to be too ambitious today.

I weighed in this morning and have lost 5 lbs. my first two weeks on the plan I have chosen.

How are you ladies doing on Nutri-System? Do you like it?

I did HCS Gym Style Back, Shoulders, & Biceps this morning. I enjoyed the workout.

Magnolia - congrats on the 5 lb loss!

Cathy - I so sorry to hear about you losing your home, land, and house...I would be so upset if that happened to me. Especially since the land has belonged to your family for years. I do hope you have a good visit with your doctor to help resolve the headache issue.

Since I have been on nutrisystem since Wednesday, I am finding that now I have the binge/comfort eating under control. I'll be happy if I can lose 1 lb a month.

This morning I did the Firm's The Hare. It's fun, somewhat unique, and just enough to push me a little.

I surely do hope everyone is well. Cathy, sorry about your homestead. You're in my prayers. I hope Joan is winning lots of money. Jann, Beth and Linda, I hope you are well, too, just maybe busy with your gardens. Anyway, have a great day, everyone.

Good afternoon,

I did Imax 3 and STS Ab Circuit Medicine Ball abs this morning. My energy level was low but I did the whole thing.

I've been really hungry today and irritable because I'm not eating my comfort foods. But I did lose 1 lb since Wednesday.

Magnolia - it does look like it's just you and me this week. The Firm's Hare is different and unique.

Hi, Everyone.

We are headed to Atlanta day after tomorrow to see my DIL and son. It's her birthday this week, and we had already planned to go. My son called a little while ago to tell us that her cancer has spread to her liver, and if they give her strong chemotherapy, she could live as long as eight months. I keep thinking about my grandson. They haven't told him yet. Please keep her in your prayers, her name is Wende.

hi ya'll, well, the appraiser came out today, so we will see what happens.

have an appt. w/my dr. on friday.
well, i am happy to say, i actually did the whole rotation this month. 6 days w/out and one day off. today , was the last day. tomorrow is rest and then, the last 2 days are easy, recovery workouts. i am so ready. my whole body is sore.

oh magnolia, i am so, so sorry. i will pray for the Lord to work a miracle in her life.

I did Cathe's Gym Style Chest & Triceps. Enjoyed the workout.

Magnolia - I am so sorry to hear about your dil. She is in my prayers.

Cathy - It's a great feeling to complete a monthly rotation. I've been doing Cathe's April 2010 rotation and it's nice not having to wonder what workout I'm going to do the day I wake up. It also motivates me to workout because it's on the calendar.

Jann - Sometimes you just need to rest and be lazy. Good to hear from you.

Thank you all for your kind wishes and your prayers. All we can do is pray, and that is what we are doing. She's truly the best thing that has ever happened to my son and more than a great dil.

I did Low Impact Step, the stability ball abs workout from High Step Circuit, and Basic Stretching from the Total Body Stretching DVD. I had been struggling with LIS, but today, for some reason, it wasn't quite so challenging. Maybe I am finally getting back into shape. I need to work out now more than usual -- it helps me sleep and helps me deal with all this with a little more strength.

Got to pack.

We had a great time on vacation but the scale was up this morning. I will do official weigh in Monday because I always lose some of the water weight quickly.

Linda I'm glad nutrisystem is working for you.

I did Step Moves this morning. Finally able to do most of the choreography...it went by pretty fast.

Joan - Glad to see you back from your well deserved vacation.
 
well, i had jury duty today and tomorrow. was supposed to do yoga today, but did not, and probably won't . how can sittin' around all day make you so tired? this is my recovery week anyway, so guess i'll just rest. sounds good to me. :) got a super busy weekend, so may not be back for a few days. ya'll have a good one.

I have been reading the posts to try to catch up-- I have been out of town and busy busy.. too busy to exercise!
Magnolia-- your DIL is still in my prayers---I am so sorry to hear your news-

Joan- welcome back-- don't talk about the scale:(:( I am sure it will come off again and at least you had fun!

Linda- congratulations on the mastery of step moves!!

Jann-you must be in the same place I am--in the ying and yang of concentrated fitness- I am in the yang right now!

Cathy- sorry to hear about the school, it must be sad to lose a family home!

Well, I need to regroup again and decide on a rotation- I want to do something whole body for a while, but what? I must say that I am disappointed in my weight records over the past year- and I have been working out like a mad man!!

Good afternoon,

I didn't get a wo in yesterday. I ended up working until 2:30am to finish payroll taxes due today. At least there won't be any deadlines like this until next year if I plan vacations correctly. I did have some time during the day I could have done something. It's really hard to get started back into an exercise routine.

Good morning all,

I finally decided to do the shortest old Cathe cardio dvd I could find because I really didn't want to do anything. I hit the wrong button on the tv remote and it took me hours to find out how to get back to where I was to see dvd. Ok it took 15 frustrated minutes to give up and a couple hours later 15 minutes to get to video 2 instead of tv 1-15 or video 1. The sad part is I still don't know what button I pushed to get back to video 2 or what I hit to begin with to change it. I then didn't get any wo in because I am able to use anything as an excuse to not get started.:rolleyes:

Today is new start. I decided I better start strict diet today instead of waiting until Monday.
