40s chillin in the week of 12/11/11

Thanks Lisa!! : D I think that the fact that it was express session and 4 hour long classes was what really made it crazy. But I did learn a lot and I am glad we had an instructor who taught us how to use TI 84 to do the problems rather than using charts, etc. He was funny and kept saying, DONT WALK TO NEW YORK WHEN YOU CAN FLY-

Re risers, I prefer 2, especially if Cathe uses 2, but I have noticed if she is only using one, its usually for a good reason and there is some aspect of the routine that would be really tough to do w/ 2 risers. I often find that if I start with 2, I will get to some part and go, OH this is why she is only using 1 riser. (usually speed move involving step or sometimes two foot jumping). Is that true in the LIC series?
 
SHe uses 2 in LIC. I've always used 1, just cuz my quads always get to burning and get more out of breath. I guess I need to suck it up and use 2 when she does (and hope my leg remembers to lift a little higher)

Lisa-I don't use any risers so you are doing better then me.
 
Hi all, I'm taking a rest day. I slept in late so don't really have time since I "should be working". I was up at 3am, but this time I took a natural sleep aid, read a bit, and actually got back to sleep. I felt sleep was more important that working out (although if I didn't work I could do both she says dreamily).

Jody - MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS! So pleased for you - all your hard work paid off and now you can relax and enjoy Christmas.

Murphy - I'm very impressed - I thought I was organised! Sometimes you just need to get on top of things to avoid going mad!

Lisa - I always use 2 risers when Cathe does apart from BM2 as that is so knackering I know I won't have a chance unless I just use one. Have fun skiing - lucky you!!

Roxie - glad to hear the dizziness is holding off a bit.

Mary - Snap - I did the same premix today. Wanted a bit of a change from just LICh. I'm not so bad on the jumping jacks - I just don't go out too wide.

DD is much better thanks. She finished school today and I'm almost done. I've got a bit more work to do on Monday and then a last-minute project towards the end of next week. Then I'll be off till 4th Jan! Did Premix 5 from LICh which was the blast and the extra step from CSS. Enjoyed it.
Off to a local party tomorrow night. Got to do some baking to take with us.

I did BBTS 4 today- cardio from KPC so I was resistant but I liked it ok, even if I look more like a dancer than a fighter.

Lisa, glad you got some sleep, I highly recommend it!

Roxie and Ronne, BM2 is one of my faves along with LIC

Good Morning,

I did the first 25 mins of Athletic Training followed by Jackie Warners Standing Crunchless Extreme abs which I wish I would have been doing all this time my abs would have been killer by now and then Total Body Stretching with Stability Ball #1. I think Cathe was trying to kill us today. I was going to do KCM next month but I am liking my results from this workout so I think I want to give it another shot since my eating will be better after the holidays.

Hey everyone, I did the first 20 min or so of AT, I just wasn't into it, then put in and old Cathe step workout (can't remember now which one), but only made it through the warm up and bagged it too. Tomorrow is another day,right?

Got frustrated with the nook tablet for DS but DH and I finally got it working the way we want it (of course what we want isn't standard). Sometimes I feel like technology is leaving me behind!

Roxie, at what point did you stop AT? Why did you stop? I guess it really is one of my least favs of the new series (besides the yoga and bar one)

Mary, how was the gingerbread house contest? Did you get some sleep? I was up at 3 again, thinking about the Nook tablet and wondering how we were going to get it to work for DS for his purpose. Oh, and the van, uh, I'm a bit miffed there too. Got it back from the insurance recommended place to fix the paint and keying and now the stereo unit doesn't work? what the...... has an error code on it and the cd was popped out, called them and they claim they didn't do anything to it, blah, blah, blah. DH is wondering if someone tried to steal it and saw it would be fruitless. The interesting thing is the inside is ALL CLEAN (our dash was very dusty). Called Honda, said to look for the code, uh, we keep all our papers, there is no code, Honda will have to take the radio out and retrieve serial # and reset it, all for around $100. We should not have to pay for this, car should be returned in same condition as when we left it (except for what we had it in for being fixed). I feel like we are getting into a money pit with this van all to sell it in a couple of months (IF our audi ever gets put into production....last we heard, missed Jan production, now hopefully feb production, and no word on the rebates), seriously these are headaches we don't need!

Whew, blew off some steam :)

Jody-I stopped because Cathe only had the first 25 mins in her rotation for today. I started out with 2 risers but had to go down to one.
