20 worst foods in America

Gaak!
I think I gained a few pounds just looking at the calorie count for those things!

A SALAD with 1,600+ calories per serving?

I feel better I haven't eaten any of these things in the past year. Although I do admit to eating Outback's Baby Back Ribs in the past. I was surprised to see that the worst pizza had more fat (162 g) than the worst food (Health Bar Sundae at 108 g).

Interesting that nothing from McDonald's, BK or Wendy's is on there! Glad to see it, cuz darn it....I partake of a Single Combo or a Quarter Pounder meal every now and again.

Ugh, that list is giving me a tummy ache. I don't eat that stuff. However, I do love Uno's pizza!! Yummers!!! DH doesn't like their sauce (too many lumps) so that saves me from the Uno's. The banana caramel pecan pancakes - now that really does sound tasty, but I would never order it because I would feel guilty all day. And the sodium content in all this stuff, goodness!!!! I'd have to down a few gallons of water to wash all that out. Not saying I don't eat my fair share of crud when we go out (BBQ bacon cheeseburgers yum!) but I normally get the steamed veggies instead of the fries and borrow a fry from DH for a taste, and eat half the burger. I've broken myself of eating everything the restaurant shoves in front of me, they always over-serve.

DH stopped on his way home from work one night & got small chili's & Jr hamburger's for dinner. Knowing I wouldn't eat that he got me the chicken caesar salad :)....such a nice thought...until I got online & checked the nutrtion information :( The salad was the worst of them all! It had way more calories & sodium!! I ended up eating a jr hamburger & making my own salad! (He ate the wendy's salad)

A girl that I work with always gets the tuna melt at Quizno's when we order from there. She gets the large and eats half of it with chips. Well over 1000 cal in one meal :eek::confused:

OMG

They say knowledge is power!!! I had no idea what those "nutrition" facts were!!! YUCK:eek::eek::eek:

I think I'll have a salad at Five Points on Friday

I used to LOVE and order EVERY TIME the Blooming Onion at the Outback. When I found out the NI for it, I couldn't bring myself to order it anymore (years ago). In fact, my DH would have to hold me back from saying something to people at the restaurant that DID order it!!!

Now I read my favorite pizza, The Uno Orignal Deep Dish, is just as bad! :( I loved that pizza (I used to eat it 1-2 times a year).

I loved the Blooming Onion (with extra dip, of course)! I'm scared to ask you what the NI is.

I am the same way. I can not remember the exact NI, but I remember thinking never again!!! It should be against the law

Here we go: 2310 calories and 134 grams of fat in the blooming onion. Of course that's the whole thing, but still

Okay everybody - you love the blooming onion - and you might want to have a little taste every now and then;) So, take 10 friends with you and split the portions "equally":D - that's only 13.4 grams of fat and 231 calories! That could be your "snack" for the day;)

Oh man, that is just not worth it--a little taste of something can be terribly unsatisfying. :(

I haven't had the bloomin onion for years, but they are so good! Outback makes another dish I used to love, it was chicken w/melted cheese & bacon on top.

Dieting gives you such unhealthy cravings!

That's all so gross! That's why I don't eat at any of those types of restaurants - it's all junk. This is also why NYC made restaurants start putting nutrition info on menus and cutting out trans-fats. You think you're okay, but you have no idea what they've put in your "food." And TGI Friday's refused to give the nutrition info? WTF!! That sure shouldn't be legal. Bloomberg is my hero right now! What a smart move.
