Good day melters. Speaking of melting, the snow plow just went by. We got about 3 inches of snow yesterday, after less than one inch was predicted. It was pretty, but the roads were a mess last night.

So we all have to gird our loins ;-) in preparation for Thursday's pig out. My loins need a good girding anyway. I had another mini binge last night, for no known reason. Anyway, I'm ready to clean the menu up at least for today. One day at a time, right?

tneah, sounds like your business keeps you hopping. I think I'd go stir crazy with so many guests though. I love company for a weekend, then love to see them go.

Well, I have to go knock snow off my car. Grrrr, DH has two sports cars that live in the garage during the summer. The deal is, he can have them as long as I get garage space in the winter. The cars are small enough, he usually pushes them close enough together that I can slip my car in too. He hasn't gotten aroung to making my space yet though. Grrrrr.

Morning all!

Well, I thankfully don't have to be girding my loins, because it's not Thanksgiving here this week. Just a normal week.

I wasn't around yesterday, but my eating was really good. In fact, I probably didn't eat enough. It was a lazy day and I just nibbled all day and wasn't really hungry. I might be down another little bit, but we'll see how this week goes.

Robin, sorry to hear about your snow. Get DH to move those cars pronto!!! I raked a lot of leaves yesterday. I guess it's like practice for shoveling. Ugh.

Happy Monday, Melters...

Well, for a lot of us, it's probably a three-day week!!! It is for me, thank goodness.

Robin, I want your snow. It's going to be 75 and humid here. They say that it's supposed to change drastically by Wednesday or Thursday with the possibility of the famed Southern "wintry mix." I hope so. It shouldn't be this freakin' hot in November.

Shelley, I'm glad you had a lazy, relaxing day! We all need more of those.

Yesterday's eating was pretty good, and the workout was great. I've found a way to get some weights in for my legs - I've resurrected Dad's ancient weight bench. It's boring as all get-out, but maybe I won't lose all of my muscle. I think I overworked my calf during a walk though - too many hills, I guess.

We have the office Thanksgiving potluck today. I brought my lunch and am going to try to avoid the event. Keep your fingers crossed.

Happy, clean eating to all!

Hi everyone..

Just checking in quick as I am off to my yearly Gyno check up. I am off this whole week as usual to get ready for 20 for dinner Thursday! Will be back later..

Deb:)

Good morning all -

I'm sore today -- from my first attempt at Bootcamp yesterday. But it was worth it! :)

Not much going on today. Just wanted to pop in and say "hi".

Michelle

20 people?? Wow, I bow to you!:) I thought I had it rough.Plus you have to see your gyno...oh dear.

We are filming a commercial here today, and its going to be crazy in about 1 hour, so a quickie post.

I talked to my stepdaughter, a certified massage therapist, we were commiserating over weight gain and such, and I mentioned I had gained back 5 of the 10 I had lost after surgery. She said your muscles shrink and lose their "water weight' or whatever when you are inactive, so of course you will gain that back once you start to workout again. I kinda knew that, but am still fighting the good fight against my "love chunks" darn it!:D
I had just broth and a cup of soup yesterday, felt like I could "cheat" a little and did..a few bites of a Rice Krispies treat but hey, my dog enjoyed the other half of the treats! I know, I know, its not good for pets to eat that stuff, any better than it is for us!

I have a cold or something, is it a cold when your throat hurts, which makes your ears itch and feel plugged up? I don't have a cough, but have that nasty flem stuff in my throat, that isn't the flu right? I seriously have not been "sick" for 10 years! I have no idea what hit me this week.:-( Nothing says "welcome to our home" like giving all your guests a cold right?":)

Robin, I am jealous of your snow, its just so pretty, I love to go outside and eat it-yes, I am a child.:) But get that car into the garage, there is nothing worse then having to get in a freezing cold car in the AM.
Shelley, sounds like you had a wonderful Sunday, that is right, you are Canadian, so do you all have a holiday similar to ours?
Michelle, Bootcamp is fun-the new one? The old one is too, love the ab work!
Shannon, I thought it was too warm here. But 75 degrees and humid too? Here's hoping it cools off before turkey day!

I am not sure about the workout today, probably some walking and thats it, busy today. What is that saying? "Starve a cold, feed a fever?" Well, I don't have a fever, so I guess I have to starve today!:7

Many thoughts of clean eating to all of you today, aren't you excited for Thursday!:7 So much for my quick post!

Hi melters-

Robin I had a bad eating day too yesterday. That makes 3 Sundays in a row. Well I am not stressing about it. I had lost 1.5 pounds.

gotta go get the list done....

Hey Everyone!

I, too, woke up to snow - about 4 inches! And we're expecting about 4 inches more by the time it's all said and done. They closed the school in my town... I miss those days! :-( And my car is rear-wheel drive so driving in the snow is definitely NOT fun! But, on the bright side, it's my puppy's first snow and he absolutely loved it! He couldn't get enough of rolling around in it and eating it. He was so cute..:)

Anyway, ate pretty atrociously this weekend because that's how it is when TTOM is approaching. x( But it's very weird because I feel skinnier today. Go figure...

Have a great day, All!!

Hello melters!

I'm blowing through on my way out the door but I wanted to check in quickly since I didn't have time yesterday. My weekend was INSANE!! Clean eating went right out the window Saturday as we pigged out on meatball sandwiches while we watched OSU trounce Michigan:D :p. I cleaned up my act on Sunday and made a huge pot of soup, and I did my workouts like a good little soldier. My loins are girded and I shall behave until Thanksgiving. Come Thanksgiving I intend to dive face first into the dressing and mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/evilgrin.gif

Robin - We had a few flurries but no accumulation, but the forecast calls for snow on Thanksgiving day. Don't feel bad about your binges. Just get back on track now and don't allow it to derail you long term. I'll let you in on a little secret -- I had...*GASP*...KFC for dinner Saturday night -- yes, KFC (my DH went out and got a bucket of chicken while I was at the mall x( ) . We're talking a meatball sandwich for lunch and fried chicken for dinner...OH! and a cookie }( :9 . Your binge couldn't have been any worse than that ;) . I was squeeky clean yesterday, though http://bestsmileys.com/angles/6.gif

Shelley - hey you! How's your elbow? Mine is still improving but it's not 100% -- I'd say it's about 75% better. I've been doing the 4DS rotation but I use lighter weights and don't do full extensions. I know I'm not getting as much out of it as I could but it's better than nothing. I'm just glad I can finally lift weights again. Would you do me a favor -- purty please :* . Read my post in the Haters thread and render your opinion. I need help picking out carpet ;) ;(

Cuz! Thank you so much for the email :) . I'll reply later on after I finish my errands.

Deb - good luck at your paper gown appointment. Oh man, I hate those things.

Michelle - ^5's for doing BC!! Aren't you a cardio hater? And you enjoyed BC!? I bow to you.

tneah - OMG they're filming a commercial in your house!? I'd be so stressed  . Do please tell us all about it. Your skin care business sounds like fun. Do you sell your products in stores? Would we recognize them?

Judy - good fro you for hopping right back on the bandwagon!

B - consider it a great gift that you feel skinny after a weekend binge -- lol!

Someone, I don't remember who, asked me about Cardio Coach workouts for the elliptical. CC workouts are very well suited to the elliptical -- I do them all the time. I also have the iCimb circuit you mentioned and I love it, too. I haven't done that one in ages. Maybe I'll try it again after I'm finished with my current rotation. :)

I better scoot. I can't let myself get behind or I'll never catch up. Hello to everyone I missed and I'll BBL if I can. Good luck everyone!!

I am so jealous of those of you who got snow. I love snow. More specifically snow skiing. In the summer I water ski and the winter snow ski. I get anxious during this time between the two seasons.

Anyway my check in I haven't posted since my weigh in but I am 1 pound down. Slow going because I think that is 2 pounds total. I am eating fudge while typing this so that probably means bad eating day today. But it is a small piece and the rest of the day is good. And I had a fairly good eating weekend considering I made a bunch of food for Thursday. Good as in clean and well portioned.

I have to get back to work. Wishing everyone a great Monday.

Cari

I am sick, yukky. I have never mentioned our products, because I do not want this site to think I am promoting them. I will mention one though, Strivectin-SD.Its the number one selling skin cream in the world for 4 years running now. Pretty cool. Ok, I am done bragging, I am very proud of my DH as he does all the marketing and comes up with the products.:7 Hope everyone is having a great day. I just ate a piece of Twizzler.

I'm sick, too, Tneah. I feel like I've been sick for weeks and weeks lately. Right now it's just a stuffy nose and a low fever. And a general malaise (love that word--reminds me of mayonnaise) Could be worse.

I ate pretty well over the weekend. Funny that I actually did better over the weekend than I did during the week--usually works the other way, doesn't it?

I didn't get a workout today. :( I had physical therapy this morning, also had to do some shopping. Then this afternoon I went to Isaac's school for the Thanksgiving party. I also just found out that he gets out early tomorrow (11:45 instead of 3:20). You'd think they would have told me earlier but they didn't tell us until today. Weird. Anyway, hope to do a little Stretch Max in a minute but that'll probably be it because I'll have to make dinner soon. I got my new Tracey Staehle's today, so I will hopefully at least get to preview them a bit tonight. Very excited about those--maybe just because they took longer to get here than I expected.

OK, hope to BBL for personals, but for now I have to go do some stretching and some laundry (big exciting day, huh?)

I feel so bad for you sickies and elbow ailers. I hope you all are better by the holiday.

tneah, do you have a website? Could you PM me with it? How's that for not promoting anything?

Well, something must be working, at least fitness-wise. I just got done with HIS chest and back and it felt great. I'm not going anywhere near the scale until Friday at the earliest, and I may skip it then if Thursday turns evil.

Cari, I like the snow too, but wasn't quite ready for it. Our maple tree still has leaves and we were worried we would lose a branch or two. It looks OK. I cross country ski, but there isn't enough with this fall and it will be gone by tomorrow.

Hey girls - checking in late today. Oh boy, I kind of had one foot dragging off the wagon today. The guy in the office next door brought in little dessert bar things he had leftover from some party on the weekend and there was a brownie with marshmallow and chocolate on top. So I ate it. It was only little though, maybe an inch square.

I did 4DS HIS/Chest and Back tonight. I enjoyed the weight work!

Michele - my elbow is doing all right, but it doesn't like some things.

I hope all you sickies feel better soon.

tneah - I'd also love to see your website, if you have one!
