    Barbell Preferance

Leslie, I'm obviously not Cathe, but I'll give you my 2 cents. Let me preface this with the comment that I have had wrist tendon trouble and am very careful how I handle weights. I have both types of bars (4 ft. bent bar and 5 ft. straight bar) and I use the straight one the most. The...

    Eyelash help

Though not exactly your question, I found I needed much less mascara once I started darkening my eyebrows a bit. It just helps frame my eyes and makes the mascara much less important. I've used eybrow pencils and such, but I find regular mascara easiest to apply. Just go lightly!

    Leg waxing info?

A-nonymous, have you tried using something like Silk-epil? This is an epilator (read: a bazillion tweezer like bits) that pulls the hair out by the roots. The first use really gets your attention (as in eye-popping YEE-OW!) but subsequent uses aren't too bad. As you pull more hair out by the...

    New Video Poll

Cathe, I like all three ideas. With the Push/Pull, could it be made so that I could split it over two days, if I need? I find the PS series great for a three-day split, but a short two-day split would be great. For a fourth tape, I'd like to see a 50- to 60-minute strength/flexibility...

    SNM - pre-order with check?

Will you be accepting pre-orders for the new DVDs paid by check and sent in by mail? I know you want to keep this simple, but I'm one of those who is wary of using credit cards online. Thanks! Eileen

    ab flab

I have to agree with others -- don't worry about a bit of fat right now! Your body will change and grow for several more years, and what you look like now may not be what you end up with after your body has finished all its changes. I've found that even at my slimmest, I have a little roundness...

    Pep talk sorely needed...help

Hi Kristina! I can't do much more than empathize, as I am in a similar boat -- one of my medications helped me gain 10 lbs that won't budge, and my diet is restricted due to food allergies. It can get really depressing to have so many things out of your control at one time! Could you be...

    Q on pumped forearms

Thanks! Thanks Cathe and Lyn! I'll give both ideas a go -- my form may be imperfect ("may" ha, ha!), and I can easily start adding some forearm work to my regular wrist exercises. It may be slow going, but I know I'll get things to work out eventually!

    Q on pumped forearms

Thanks, gamber.. I was hoping for the miracle solution, but guess it won't happen ;-). At least I can be thankful that typing isn't as delicate as pipette work!

    Q on pumped forearms

I'm relatively new to weight work (finally up to the PS series 1x per week :-)) and now have hit a snag. Maybe Cathe or one of the "educated crowd" can help me. I work out in the mornings, and have slowly added enough weight to get a bit pumped. The problem is that the "pumped" feeling takes a...

    Beginner weight training/what size?

Think about your long term goals, too Lora, I'm a more-or-less beginner with weights, myself. I bought a 9-lb body bar, but I've outgrown it for a lot of things already. It's still useful for some things, though, so it wasn't a wasted purchase. You might consider what your long term weight...

Going on the Pill, need reassurance!!

Its ok Susan, I've had experience with BCP and with estrogen. Both have worked out fine, though my body took a couple months to adjust. I did have a little bloating, but nothing really out of my normal monthly range. I also had a bit of nausea for the first month -- more of the "food doesn't...

Cathe - will I ever be able to keep up with the intensity (m)

Just be consistent Leela, I have to echo what Colia said. Take small steps and be consistent! You will improve, and most likely, you'll get back everything and more. It just takes a bit of time. (I know, its hard to be patient!) Eileen

    Hot Skins bodywear

I've ordered shorts Lynn, I've ordered a pair shorts from Hot Skins. I fall sqarely in the Med but ordered one size up and am happy with the fit; however, I don't like my lycra wear to be tight. I think they are sizing for a pretty close fit based on my one pair of shorts.

What kind/type of weights do I need for the six pack?

Hi Patti Obviously, I'm not Cathe, but I'll offer a comment or two. Be careful as you work with weights if you have had wrist problems and be sure to listen to your body. Due to my wrist problems, I am very careful to add weight slowly and to back off when something feels wrong. It helped me...

anyone use Reebok step for Cathe tapes?

Reebok step is fine for me The step I have at home is a Reebok step and it is fine for Cathe videos, for me at least. I haven't found a significant difference in how they feel, but I also tend to modify the highest impact moves. Both have their good and bad points. The Reebok is easy to pick...

    Hamstring Curls

Where to get Spri products? Honeybunch, where do you find Spri products? I haven't been very successful, either locally or on the Web. Do they go by another name now, or are they just not where I am looking? Thanks!

    Cathe TV !!

That's what I did Using Netscape, I went to the CatheTV page then opened the link for the LiveClass http://209.71.96.114/LiveClass. Everything just appeared after that. I'm using WindowsMedia 6.4, the latest Netscape plug-in, and Netscape 4.72.

Back to business after an injury

Good idea! Well, we're in the same boat somewhat.. I have bursitis in my hip, and when it acts up, no impact work for me for a few weeks. This isn't as bad as your ligaments, but it has taught me that "this too shall pass". Right now, I've decided to focus on ab/core strength until I...

    Cathe TV !!

You _all_ at SNM did a great job. It was marvelously easy to get in (even for a Netscape user ) and the broadcast is pretty good quality. Thanks so much! Back to enjoying the broadcast...
