I know we all have discovered our tricks for making fitness more convenient, fun, etc. I'd love to hear yours! Here's a few of mine:

1) exercise clothes: I love wearing my husband's running shorts, especially his "silkies" (Marine Corps PT shorts); I prefer plain cotton shirts over the fancy stuff (feels weird); I double up on sports bras sometimes when one is getting old. If I'm lifting weights, I'm happy to work out in pj pants and t-shirt. Also...sweatbands are fun and awesome!!

2) I love doing step barefoot sometimes for an extra challenge. It really burns the calves. I lift weights barefooted.

3) I run on the grass. Visors look dumb but are awesome!! I skip the headphones and play my phone (Pandora) from an armband. I hate headphones!!! I carry a bottle of water with a splash of juice and some salt. (Cheap sports drink.) I sometimes hose off during before and during PT especially when temps are in the 90s or higher. Glow necklaces are great for running at night (in addition to reflective wear). Oh, and white t-shirts, not tank tops in the summer to stay cooler.

4) Cathe's workout manager is awesome!!!! If you haven't tried it, go for it!!

5) I love having a bit of caffeine before a workout. It gets me mentally ready to go. I like Crystal Light Energy drinks. This seems counterintuitive to exercise (dehydration) but it works for me!

6) Weights: my fave!!! I love my 20lbs vest. Weights are such an integral part of my fitness program. They're worth the cost and space needed to lift heavy. Same goes for bands, tubing, and band loops.

When I'm short on time I love bodyrock.tv workouts. I feel totally worked out and incredible feeling of accomplishment afterwards.

I also love my interval timer when I need to add intensity to a freestyle weight workout.

Drinking lots of water has helped me feel better especially mentally more alert.

I love to run.
I love to exercise with dvds in just bra shirt and undies. And some times I like using MENS underware! No riding up and they are comfy. Some look like bike shorts from a distance.
