Sometimes it's really, really difficult to let Mother Nature play things out in her own way, you know? She is very cruel (in our minds anyway). My vet has a colony of feral cats behind their office and although they put out food, everyone in the office is under strict orders to not interfere with the cats. If they did, they'd be spending literally hours of time, equipment, and supplies on the cats, and that's just not practical. They follow the rule that many people do who observe feral cat colonies - TNR - Trap, Neuter, Release.

Having been raised by Disney and Bambi, it's hard for me to accept the harsh realities of Nature. I hate to see suffering. In animals or humans.

I hope your birdies get better on their own! Tweet! :)
