What workout would be best ?

I will be having a hysterectomy next Monday. I was wondering which of Cathe's workouts would be best for me to do once the doctor gives me the all clear?

Remember to not do anything for the time period the doctor says. After my c-section the doctor said NO Exercise for 6 weeks. I was not even allowed to go up or down stairs. This is because every layer of stomach muscle is cut through and even though the surface looks fine the inner layers need to heal. (The doctor had to emphasize this part as I'm addicted to exercise.) I'm guessing that they'll need to cut through all the layers for a hysterectomy. Make sure you have a pillow to hold onto tightly against your abs if you laugh or sneeze any time during the first week after the surgery.
Initially I did walking (after my 6 weeks was over). I found the XPRESS series was a good way to get back into the groove. I had to cut way back on the abdominal work initially. The core work in that series really help get my abs back into shape. Also remember to start off with no risers. Add the risers as your energy level increases. When the cardio in XPRESS becomes easy then switch to any of Cathe's longer workouts (BodyBlast then Intensity series and then when you're ready to go full out Hardcore).

Good luck on the surgery!

Yes, definitely listen to your doctor as everyone is different. I would actually start with Cathe's beginner/intermediate workouts once given the go ahead. I have had 2 c-sections and, believe or not, was doing ab work within 2 weeks, riding my horse and working within 4 weeks, and back to full capacity with no restrictions whatsoever at 6 weeks. This was all doctor approved. She said I was in excellent condition. I recovered very quickly. I was even picking up and carrying my son the day of surgery (once I woke up).
