What does your rotation look like?

Are you a Cathe rotation? Do you make up your own? How do you figure out the right balance? Do you switch it up from month to month?

I ask because I have so many workouts and can't figure out how to put them all together. I have kettlebell, yoga/pilates, weights(total body, 2 day, 3 day, 4 day splits, and lower body) circuits, cardio(step, kickbox, hi/lo). And I want to try adding some barre workouts to collection.

How do you put them all together in harmony?

Heheh. Good question that I am constantly asking myself. I would love to find a way to get EVERY type of work out from EVERY instructor I own into ONE rotation but I guess that's just not possible, huh? ;):p

With that being said I just finished about 6 weeks of 4 cardios and 2 full body work outs. My cardios were step, kickbox and interval or hiit for the most part. I've just switched over this week though from the 2 f/b's to 1 f/b and 1 Lower Body...inspired ofcourse by the soon to be shipped LOWER BODY BLAST! :D

Just gotta keep changing things up to get everything in that you wanna do I suppose! It's often hard for me to choose as I always have atleast 2 or 3 rotation ideas swirling around in my head at any given moment!

I do my own rotation. I haven't been very disciplined about it lately. I used to be really hard core about making a rotation, not so much now. I break it down by type and then allow myself to pick the workout that I want to do. I tend to be more cardio focused because it helps with my mental health. I can't manage it all in one workout. I break it up into two, but you don't have to do what I do of course. I save my MMA/Kick boxing for inclement weather days when I can't run. In my rotation you can do any cardio in place of jogging except step. I use that as my cross training. This is how I do it:

For example:

Sunday: Rest
Monday: Jog intervals, 45-60 min.
+ Yoga/pilates
Tuesday: Step Circuit (if I did abs on mon, skip the abs.)
Wednesday: Jog intervals, dance tape such as hula, belly dancing (or yoga)
Thursday: either rest or steady state step such as cardio hits, RS, Step Moves,
Friday: Jog Steady State, whole body workout or kettle bells (I'm not doing these yet but they seem like whole body to me.) or advanced yoga
Saturday: Step interval style such as Imaxes or Athletic Step or HIIT

I do circuits instead of weights without cardio, it worked for me in college so I stick to it. But, there is no reason why you can't do a totally different rotation.
