Weight loss, Eating & Metabolism

Remember to eat enough nutritious calories to support your activity level or else you will slow your metabolism down.

I read this in one of the post and I must ask about this information. I believe I'm doing this wrong! I have been doing Cathe's video's and trying to eat clean -- but I'm not one for counting calories. I'm trying to loose weight and I've been doing a Mon-Sat rotation for strength training and weight lost. I've been doing Mon. -- full body weight workout, Tues. cardio, Wed. -- full body weight workout, Thurs. Interval train, Fri. full weight and Saturday - cardio. Sunday is a rest day. I've been very consistent with my workout but I don't know if my metabolism has slown down because I work out for an hour per day and I'm still at 142 lbs. (started 144 lbs.) I realize muscle is heavier than fat -- so I may be building muscle -- but how long before weight begins to fall?

My intake of food may not supprt my activity level -- 1st meal I drink a protein shake before my workout/or energy bar, 2nd meal I eat 2 slices of turkey bacon with 1/2 piece of grapefruit, 2 pieces of toast with no sugar added apple butter. 3rd meal - sardines, or turkey sandwich, or meal replacement bar. 4th meal chicken, rice and green beans or some other combination, 5th meal pastachios.

Some days my meals are different but they pretty much look like this.

Thanks in advance.
