Hi Cathe,
I apologize for reposting this same message, however, I do not know if you have not yet seen this posting before it gets buried, or if you have seen it and have just not responded. ;( In either case, I understand. But, I really could use your advice.
I have been including Imax and Imax 2, along with steady-state cardio sessions into my weekly cardio workouts, for a total of 6 days of cardio. I have been doing this for about 5 months now. I also incorporate weight training about 5 days/week. I actually lost quite a bit of weight (fat loss) since I have started this routine. I do not want to lose any more weight (I think I may have lost a bit too much weight-and I've been told this from family and friends). I am 5'3'', small-medium build, and now weigh 105 pounds (in the morning-am 109-110 by the end of the day). Before including the 2nd interval workout into my weekly routines, I weighed 110-112 pounds. My diet is very clean, low-fat/high-fiber. It includes lots of vegetables, whole grains, and protein (mostly fish). Before I included a 2nd interval workout per week, I was only doing 1. But, being an avid exerciser, I wanted to challenge myself even more. I am concerned if I stop the 2nd interval workout, that I will lose all that I have achieved thus far. I have attained so much through this type of training, both mentally and physically (more muscle definition), and cardiovascularly. It is very rewarding. However, I do not want to lose any more weight! I'm starting to get very concerned. What would you suggest?
I was thinking of cutting down to 1 Imax per week instead of 2. If you agree, do you recommend that I go back to doing 2 Imax workouts per week again, say in like 6-8 weeks or so? And then back to 1 in another 6-8 weeks? Or, should I only do 2 if I am looking to reduce more body fat?
What do you think? Any suggestions you could pass along, I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks in advance.
