WeekEND Check-in June 10-11th,2017

Cathlete
Hope everyone's weekend has been nice so far. :) I've been quite busy here.
Still in recovery/muscle growth mode on Saturday as Friday's Legs were real tough, as in GOOD tough, though! So, I just took a little bit of time for stretching and some loosening up with the ball.

Looking to get in a sweaty session tomorrow/Sunday! Hopefully in the outdoors if I am able to squueze it in!

Take care.

Hey Elsie, slim thread for the weekend, huh? How's Mouser doing? I hope, ok.....Yesterday, (Sat) I did a mish-mosh of shorter workouts
spread out throughout the day....Cardio was a 1 mile Denise Austin indoor walk and a 1 mile Tamilee Webb indoor walk. Strength/toning
workouts were 2 blender mixes, one for Chest & Back and the other for Shoulders. Last night, I ended up with a 10-min Total Body toning
workout from Peloton (Beyond the Ride) . Today, I hope to do the latest Senior Fit 2 .......Hope everyone is ok and that your Sunday will
be a blessed one.

Hey all, I did a 2 hour bike ride yesterday. It was very tough for some reason. I was going to do another long ride today, but I'm going to listen to my body.

Hey Missy, I don't know how you do the bike rides that you do, couple hours at a time, wow, I admire you for that
Stamina!!! Way to go! I started with a little cardio this morning, I did a Jenny Ford marching with moves
Workout in Milwaukee on YouTube, it was fun! Some people joined her in a park, it was hilarious, I like her,
She has a lot of workouts on YouTube, I am gonna try one of her step workouts as well....then I did a short
ShadowBoxing workout in the Peloton app. Still hope to do CatheLive Senior Fit 2 later today.

Cycling is easier than running or step because you have rest periods where you are going downhill. Of course there's the up hill, but I think all in all it's less intense.

Excellent workouts you two! Listening to your body is the way to go, Missy! I like Jenny Ford too.

Linda, thanks for asking about Mouser. She is so so. The Vet isn't optimistic at all. Her lab work took her from being Stage 1-2 Renal Failure to End Stage, as I may have mentioned last week.I am starting to do things more with my own thinking/research right now like lessening the prednisone rather than listening to the Vet. Cutting back on the pred, giving her the food she wants rather than what is 'recommended' (she has a thickening small intestine but won't eat hypoallergenic food) and supplementing with potassium seems to be helping her appetite a little. She was skin & bones 12 days ago, but now is looking a little better and seems very content. She also isn't twitching now. I'm reminding her to drink by taking her to the sink, just staying with her a lot etc. I'm glad she is vocal when unhappy as it is helping me figure out what to do and not do. I would love to have the money take her to Washington State for stem cell tx to get more time with her, but that type of tx is as much as you can imagine it is. Also, at her age, she might not respond to it anyway, plus the travel might be tough. I guess I'm debating it right now.
I've been up all night and have a busy day tomorrow, so I better try and get a nap. Looking forward to reading everyone's activities. :)

Elsie, I am so sorry, my heart goes out to both of you, I dread the day.....you know what I mean......hang in there,
But I know they are just words and harder to do than say, you 2 are in my thoughts & prayers.....

Deepest thanks for that.

Hi Everyone,

Elsie, sorry to read about your beloved friend. Big hugs to you. I love how curious you are to research solutions. If the austrian birthday code is correct - you must have 6's and 1's in your birthdate e.g. jan, june, november or december or a 6 or 1 for day of birth and/or 6 or 1 at last two digits in your birth year. You have a sticktoitness about you which is found in those numbers + the thirst to learn - all says 6's and 1's.

Today and yesterday I did Dasha Libin kb workouts. I forgot how great these are. I would definitely stream her for a month.

Hi ladies.

Some real good workouts!

Elsie - so sorry about Mouser. Hugs being sent across the ocean.

Friday I had yet another rest day.

Saturday I did Muscle Max (just not the core) and some walking.

Today I did BodyStep but stopped when shoulders got involved as I worked them enough yesterday. I then did thighs and part of seat chapter from BarreAmped.

For the rest I am taking it easy. As well as finishing both books I was reading, I have read a whole book over the weekend. 2 of the books were gr8 and one was a real disappointment but I still finished it.

Missy - I would gladly PM you if I thought I could be of much use regarding job advice, but I think the job market in the US is rather different from here in Europe. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions though and I will do my best to answer them.

Hi ladies. Elsie I really feel for you. It's horrible when our loved ones can't tell us what's wrong, what hurts or what they need. I'm so sorry. I'm sure Mouser knows how much love you've shared. Henriette, what books did you read? I'm listening to Saving CeeCee Honeycutt right now. Loving it! It's very similar to The Secret Life of Bees. Missy, good for you, listening to your body. I've always learned the hard way when I need a rest. Ceci, what is that with the numbers? Sounds interesting. Well, yesterday I did Susan Chung Rapid fire #1 with the heavy bag bonus. It was fun. Then today was Cathe Live Blast off bootcamp. Outstanding. She really is spectacular with her workouts! Hope everyone has a nice day. Elsie I'll be praying for you and Mouser. Hugs!!!

Well, I did the CatheLive Senior Fit 2 ( so much fun) and followed it with a blender mixed boot camp for bi's & tri's
Which was 30 min. So I'm pretty whipped right now. That's it for today I do believe.....hope everyone has a good
Rest of your weekend.

Peg - to answer your question. I read at least a book a week and like to keep track of them on Goodreads.Capture+_2017-06-11-21-29-27.png

I did ICE Metabolic Total Body. It's funny that a light day is an ICE. When these first came out I remember where I was physically, and they definitely helped me get to the next level. It was tough for me today anyway......I'm not sure why I'm struggling physically right now, but it probably has to do with my mental state.

I told my husband I'm throwing out the F-word. (FAILURE)....I've had my pity party and I'm going to get back on the horse, think positive and have faith that things will work out in the right time. But I do think it helps to throw it out there and be honest with people when I'm struggling.

Wow, thank you friends on your busy weekend to send me & 'The Moo' (her nickname) wishes of wellness & love. :) It is so, so appreciated.

Oh, Ceci, that is so interesting about the number system & yes, my birthdate is 10(Dec) 10th. My year is 78. Fascinating! Henriette, I am always amazed by how much you get done!
Great, great workouts & attitudes ladies. I just did a walk today.

be honest with people when I'm struggling.
This is important to me and something I really ought to adhere to more often. I grew up in a home where we weren't permitted to complain even if it was more of a sharing and discussing thing, so even to this day it is often a struggle. Keeping everything inside is lonesome and can be very painful.
