Twitter!

Cathe, do you use a twitter? If you had a twitter account, you could twitter us updates during the day like, "just went through Disc #32's sound" for STS or any of your future projects. Or even cute things like, "didn't expect dropping a barbell would make that large of a crack in the floor." You could also publish the feed onto your blog. I know I've suggested a more official Cathe Facebook group, but you could also sync up your twitter to facebook (which is what I do). It shouldn't be a terrible commitment (you can only type in 140 chars in a line anyway) and I think it may feed a lot of people's need for knowledge when it comes to STS or other projects. Just an idea.

Another Request for Twitter

I second hottiescientist's request for Cathe to get a Twitter account. My limited time doesn't allow me much time for forums and/or blog reading. The only reason I'm even in this forum today is I came here and did a search for "Twitter" to see if Cathe was planning to use it. (I had already searched Twitter for her and didn't find her.)

Following Cathe on Twitter would be awesome!

How is Twitter different than just updating your status on FB? Just curious. I know NOTHING about it.

So, twitter is a "microblogging" service that limits you to 140 chars per entry and FB is a social networking sites that focuses more on groups and photos I think. I mostly twitter from my mobile actually. Anyway, you can sync up your twitter account and it will automatically update your FB status thus you only have to use one site to sync all your "status" accounts as opposed to logging into twitter and then FB. To recap, I "tweet" and it goes to my blog and my fb page and now more people who probably don't care about what I do learn a little bit more about how boring my life is.
