I received a weird email - weird because I never used this particular email address of mine to request anything from your site - from the above email address and when I scanned it, it said it contained a virus. I don't mean to accuse anyone of sending viruses, I know how they work. Just wanted to put you and others on alert. Thanks.

It is, but it is not from us. Many “worms” and “viruses” scan websites and address books for email addresses and then masque themselves as coming from that website. We get a couple hundred of these each day sent to us, so we know how frustrating these emails are.
