Just to let you know, scientifically it takes much longer than that for your food to digest. As long as digestion is still occurring, there is blood being redirected to those ortgans involved. There is a conflict of interest. Your muscles want the blood to do their work while your gut wants the blood to do its work. Neither gets done too fficiently in these circumstances. Ideally, nothing should be digesting. I would say, ideally, you would want 2 hours to pass. It would probably allow you to feel your best. Just because there is no "jumping around" doesn't mean that it is best for your body, it is just best for you to not feel like you are going to be sick.
