the making of MIC

I just started MIC. I think I got more than I bargained for. I was wondering what was it like making this in terms of rehearsals, planning, conditioning, actual shooting etc. This must probably be the most difficult cardio tape on the market unless someone else knows of one that I have never heard of. I am wondering if other fitness pros who have videos on the market would be able to do this workout! Also does anyone know of any videos put together on the making of an exercise video from the behind the scenes approach, and the planning, rehearsing and shooting. I am very curious how one of these is put together. Cathe, are you ever planning to do a video on the making of an exercise video?

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie! Take your time working up to the impact and intensity level of MIC. You'll be surprised, it is very overwhelming at first but then suddenly you adjust and it becomes very doable. This tape did not require any special planning and/or rehearsing other than we typically do for our videos. But we did have to be careful not go all out each day at each rehearsal as to not get injured.

I actually do not have any plans to do a making of an exercise video but I am sure if your do a search online, you will be able to find some articles on this topic. Take Care!

The first time I did MIC I thought I would DIE! I had to modify the floor aerobics and could get no farther in the workout than the "Love Rollercoaster" song on a 6 inch step.

Now I do the entire video with an 8" step.

Just take it easy and as Cathe said, one day you will surprise yourself! I was amazed the first time I did that entire workout! Talk about feeling empowered!

In order to work up to this tape, I would combine two other tapes and do them back to back. My favorite combo was Gilad's Fat Burning Workout followed by his Step Workout. This combo was not as difficult, but just as long. Once I worked up to this combo, I was able to move on to MIC pretty easily. Another way to handle it is just to work on one half of the tape at a time and then do the whole thing.
