My DH has high blood pressure and needs to lose 40 - 50 lbs. He is/was very athletic and finally has a desire to get in shape again. He also travels a lot and in the hotel chain that his company puts him at there is usually not a workout room with much more than a couple of treadmils, etc. Not really any equipment to use for resistance. He wants to run on the days he doesn't weight train. Anyway I thought we might get him some of those resistance bands for when he is on the road - however, I am not sure what to get and what exercises to tell him to do. Do any of you have any information or know where I can get it on using the bands. Do you think it would be effective for him to use them instead of free weights when out of town? Any of you that travel do you have any hints - he has started something before only to give up so I want to encourage him as much as possible. I do not want to see him get discouraged.
