Suggestions for cardio after building muscle

Hello, I've recently completed two 12- Week rotations of STS 2.0 which has made me really addicted to body building style of training.
I've very happy with the muscle I've put on and would like to start doing cardio to lose the last 10 pounds of weight.
I was wondering if I should stick to all cardio workouts or should I do some weight lifting along with cardio.
I would love to see the scale move down and also show some of the muscle that I've worked so hard on.
I just don't know if I should do strictly all cardio for the next 6 weeks for the fastest results or mixing in weights with cardio.
I would appreciate your suggestions.
Thank you

Here are option as far as workout regimen is concerned:

  • Do a week or two of sole cardio. meaning without any equipment or body weight resistence.
  • You can do circuit with light to moderate rate such PHA, MRT, Bodyweight resistence mixed with cardio, plyometric training for max 2 perweek for 30 minutes or long steady cardio without resistence for maximum 1 hour per session per week.
  • Go on holiday for 1 or 2 weeks completely off any toy:D:D:D;) No worry. Recovery is important. Just move while you are away from home.
You need a break after those 12 weeks but you need to keep those muscles gained. You can loose body fat without obsessing over the number on the scale. If your main goal is to maintain and build while loosing body fat/weigth I suggest you focus on aiming for both cardio and weight. Loosing weight and loosing fat are two different concept:D:D if you want the number on scale to go down without seeking any aesthetic/muscle then do sole cardio. If you want to recompose your body by changing the ratio body fat/muscle, Both cardio and resistence is what you need. You also need to lift light, moderate and mainly heavy. I can sense you want some building and sculpting. If you have been trying to loose for more than 3 month or 6 month and the scale is not moving enough., track you calories. Track it not for the rest of your life but just to gauge how much you are consuming. BTW,please do not restrict your calories to 900kcal as some have claimed consuming here. No judgment. You know where you are in terms of relationship between yourself and food. 900kcal is damage the metabolism:rolleyes::oops::oops:

if you want some basic measurement for daily calories allowance, search on the net or let us know here. I wish you the best of success in your weight loss campaign
