Subtitles

I am one of those people who likes to listen to my own music while I work out - I turn the volume down on the TV and play my stereo instead while I am doing video workouts. Of course, I only do this once I have the done the workout a few times with the TV volume up, so I am sure I am getting the proper instructions.

What I was thinking of the other day is how great it would be if the workout videos had subtitles. That way, I can still turn the volume of my TV down and play my stereo AND still benefit from all from all of Cathe's instructions. I do OK with the way I am doing it, but it would make things much easier (say, for counting/knowing how many reps are left, etc.) if I had subtitles. I am learning to read lips quite well, though!

Just an idea...not sure if others would agree. Of course, the subtitles should be able to be turned on/off as desired so that they don't annoy the people who don't want/need them.

Thanks for reading!

Actually, the tapes are not captioned. I'm deaf and have my TV set with captions turned on. There are very few exercise tapes with captioning. It is an additional cost to post-production which is why it's seldom used. I literally squeal with delight when I do get a captioned exercise tape and so far it's only 2 out of over 60 I own. Majority of FitTV shows are captioned which helps me to know how much weights Cathe is using. It's a misconception that lipreading is perfect.

It would be a great idea to have some indication how much weights Cathe is using to figure out how much I should which is bound to be 5-10 pounds lighter!
