? Strength Training & Tendonitis?

Hello,

This is my first post here, as I am new to Cathe videos.

I would love it if Cathe or anyone could help me out here:

Is it ok to workout with weights if you've got tendonitis?
I was just diagnosed today after complaining of wrist and
arm soreness.

I have gotten conflicting advice from doctors, p.t., etc.
so I thought that I'd ask here.

Thanks in advance,

I have carpal tunnel/chronic neck pain which gives carpal tunnel-like symptoms and what I have learned to do is to listen to my body. Find ways to modify your workouts so your hands/wrists don't hurt as much (or at all would be the goal).

I'd also find a doctor and or pt that you believe in and trust and go with their recommendations. I've found just recently through an excellent physical therapist additional ways to modify my workouts and corrections in my form. I know I feel better if I workout and listen to my body; stop way before I hit "pain", and learn the signs that indicate I need to slow down.

PS Maybe look for a sports doctor or sports physical therapist for recommendatoins. They tend to be more apt to promote strength training.
