Strength training step height

I'm back to a Pure Strength rotation and just noticed that the group always has 4 risers while they are doing bench work. For incline, they take off 2 risers at the bottom end, so they have 4 & 2. Just want to mention to those who are beginning that I don't see any reason why you need to be so high. I do the bench work with 2 risers and for incline I have no risers on the bottom end, so I have 2 & 0. I like being able to drop my dumbbells and know they don't have far to go! It's also easier to pick up and put down the dumbbells. Over all, it just has a safer, more "grounded" feel to it. Just a suggestion for those who haven't tried it yet.

Good reminder. I think a lot of the bench height in the videos is for filming purposes. I would think it would be harder to get an aesthetically pleasing angle on the exercises (and still have some attractive background) if they were closer to the floor).
