STOP ME BEFORE I.....

... put more food in my mouth!! It's getting ridiculous. I can't stop eating. I had a dream (nightmare) last night that I was getting really huge. I hope it's not prophetic, but the killer workouts I'm doing are barely enough to compensate for the amount I'm eating. Not a moment goes by that I'm not stuffing something down my gullet. And I'm not even HUNGRY!!!

I feel pathetic and out of control:(

Sorry, just needed to vent and maybe I hope someone will just kick me in the butt and say "smarten up".

Butt kicking coming right at ya Shelly. I'm one to talk though it's been a bad eating weekend and right now I'm enjoying a glass of white wine-and maybe will have another. But never you mind me straighten your act up NOW MISSY!!! JK

Catherine :)

Why? How would that be good for you, can you explain? LOL! I mean, I have been chowing down all day long. I am eating Chinese Food right now, but with brown rice. It is a quart size. Just finished up with some hot and sour soup.

Charlotte~~

Shelley, I'm assuming you're talking about not-so-good stuff, right? I'm with ya. I'm still smartin' from the infamous incident with the Kit Kat bites last night that shall remain nameless. :+ :+

Hi Shelley,

You need to start planning tomorrow--making up for today!!!

How about some eggwhites in an omelet--you just spray the pan, then put in 4, 5, 6, ...it doesn't matter how many egg whites, and let them cook like an omelet, then flip ot pver--it's like the white part of a fried egg--delicious, and ery little calories!

Next--make sure you have lots of salad stuff for tomorrow. Do you like balsamic vinegar on your salad?? Very few calories, very tasty, indeed, and you can have as much salad as you want!!

Next--buy some trident spearmint for tomorrow, and chew as much as you want to keep food out of your mouth!!

Finally, dinner--at this point, you've done so well that you can start feeling good about yourself--how about some zucchini, mushrooms, other veggies, stir fried with no oil (again, just spray the pan)--for some protein, how about some shrimp thrown in?

Other good proteins to keep the calories low tomorrow--cottage cheese, checken breast strips.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Melissa

My DH took me out for dinner tonight--you don't even want to know what all I stuffed into my pie hole. In my defense, I've been a sick puppy and haven't eaten much in a couple of days. I assure you I made up for it this evening.

Tomorrow's another day, right girls?}( :D ;)

Just a thought - you've been on that self-imposed no sugar no salt, etc. regime for a long time during which you don't allow any cheating. Sorry, but I think if you intentionally scheduled some cheat days or cheat meals that incidents like you're going through now would be less likely to happen. Also, don't keep "trigger" foods in your house.

I never joined in you no sugar no salt challenges because I need to cheat so I don't feel deprived. I've lost 16 pounds since last November even with the cheat days.
Just Do It! :)

I would love to give some advice but seeing as I just had a bowl of peanut butter tracks ice cream for BREAKFAST...

Hey, some days you keep it clean and other days you find yourself digging in the back of the freezer for that leftover bag of chocolate chips...

...and I thought all of you ladies were in TOTAL control when it came to food! HA! You all had me fooled, didn't you? :p

Shelly don't beat yourself up over this. Cut your losses and move on. Have a g ood amount of extra water to help flush out the yuck.

Now you can have some bad meals or even days and then get back on track. We all do it on occasion. Don't be so hard on yourself. You make wonderful choices most of the time!!! This will pass.

I have confidence in you girl :)

Are you sure it's not your body's way of telling you your killer workouts have you needing more food or taking it in in a different manner? The trick I have found most useful is to eat small, balanced meals of complex carbs, lean proteins and good fats at regular intervals so my blood sugar stays level and cravings are kept at bay. And, girl, you workout too hard to let stupid junk food derail you, so I am sending you a cyber kick in the butt and telling you to check out the fantastic article in Natural Health's September issue. It's entitled "Eat Around The Clock' and it's great advice. When I eat that way, even chocolate can be dismissed for a later time because I feel satisfied. You may just be letting little lulls in blood sugar make you feel out of control. You are in control, Wild One!

I just wanted to say you're not alone. I had dinner with my mother last night and I feel obligated to try everything she makes because she loves cooking for people. She herself doesn't eat much but makes sure everyone else gets lots! x( I plowed down loads of potato salad and feel pretty gross today. I jsut woke up and told myself that I will get right back on track again today. :)

Shelley ~

...just want to send some good vibes your way to help you get back on track. Everybody falls off the wagon and has days of insane eating. Shrug it off and move on past it. One day of piggin' out is not going to undo all the healthy eating and hard training. You know that! Carry on!
