Space Bags

Who's ordered these and they actually worked? I have purchased two sets of these stupid things and I probably have 3 out of the 2 sets that work right. WTF??? I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong or if they are just junk?

I busted two bags also. The seal isn't the greatest. I wouldn't get them again. It was a good idea. I just wish they worked better.

I have them and love them, no probs. They keep the basement closet smell off the out of season clothes. However the spacebags also have a smell, so everything needs to be rewashed anyway. I bought mine at Target, and they still work 2 or 3 years later

I've had these and they were total junk. Maybe I overstuffed them or something but they didn't hold. I brought them back to the store when they didn't work and they gave me a new set which did the same thing. Good idea, but they don't work.

I'm with all the previous posters who said theirs were junk. I bought a bunch of them hoping to rehab DH's closet (he's a ridiculous clothes-horse), but I couldn't get the seals to stay sealed, even if I only put two sweaters into an 8-sweater bag. I was seriously annoyed. I ended up giving them to Goodwill and hoping that someone could figure it out better than I.

I got the bags too. All different sizes. Some needed a vacuum some were manual. They work great, when they work. I used the bags to pack things for trips. The problem is they are not durable enough. If you fold them for storage eventually the folds become weak points and break.

We went on vacation with the vacuum type, when you pack to return you have to find a vacuum to pack the bags with. The hotel we stayed at didn't have a vac with a hose to repack the bags.

The "manually" operated bags worked better, but you had to roll it just right to get the air to evacuate the bag and seal properly.

Same experience: JUNK. I have had much better luck with the monster size Ziploc bags, I roll 'em up and squeeze out the air. They've always held.

Yes, they are cheap! The seal doesn't work after the first time you use them. I say they are a waste of money and I'd rather have to deal with storing them in a bin. They are a great invention if they could work past the first use...if at all!

Thanks for the feedback! Good to know I'm not the only one who think these things are junk. I agree, great concept - if they worked right!
