Im new to this. I have heard from Bobbi and Francine, but I need some more info. I have worked out for 15 years at the gym and I jogg. Im ready for a change and some results. I just received Beach body Slim in 6 series, Debbie Siebers. Did the first tape today, boring. Not challenging enough. Could you please give me guidance on what tapes to buy to change my legs the lower half is rapidly aging. I am 47 and no where near as tone as I want to be. Yes, I could loose a few pounds about 10 to be exact. Someone just spell it out and I"ll get started. I love reading the forums, it pumps me up that I too may have hope for success. Thanks [email protected] if anyone would like to email me.:) :) :) Im looking for a before and after, can someone help????

Hi and welcome:) Are you justing looking for lower body workout? If so, I personally like the new Leg & Glute from Cathe's new Body Blast. That one seems to be my favorite right now. Also there is the Pyramid lower body workout from the Intesity Series, and Leaner Legs from CTX Series. Both are great. Good look on your success;-)

I know Bobbi and Francine would have some very good info. I've worked out about 25 years and also jog. I have an injury which limits the running right now. I have been bored myself. I'm 44. I have started a rotation of Slow & Heavy Legs, Leaner Legs and Pyramid Lower Body. I also use Legs & Glutes and Pure Strength Lower Body. I know for a fact if my eating was cleaner I would be getting results faster! I feel very soft when I don't run. I need to loose about 10 myself, and until I can get running again it'll be a battle. Personally if you are new to Cathe I might suggest the CTX series. It has Cardio & Weights every upper body muscle is indivdualized on 5 of the tapes with Cardio. The 6th tape is Leaner Legs and a killer tape. Be careful though...once you get started with Cathe you will be HOOKED!!!...hope that helped...:)...Carole

Hi Susan, you've gotten great answers. For strength, my money is on PS-Legs, S&H Legs and PLB; for endurance, Leaner Legs and L&G.

You might also want to consider kickboxing. Cathe's latest, and IMHO best kickboxing workout, is Kick, Punch & Crunch. Really works out your arms and legs as you get a cardio blast. Like Carole said, watch out... you'll get hooked.:)

Pinky has excellent suggestions!! Her lowdown of the tapes is dead-on!!

Susan...looks like you do indeed need to up the intensity, and girlfriend, Cathe will get you there. Kickboxing is GREAT for the lower body, so good in fact, that many days I have to sandwich it between upper body days just to recover!!! Cathe KPC is awesome, but I LOOOOVVVVEEEE Powerstrike too.

If you look into this, it is a low impact way to add high intensity to your program. Don't get Mil 3 though, only Mil 1 or Mil 2.

Boy, I love talking to the "newbies" and really wish I could invite you to work out with me! It would be such great fun (torture):)

CTX is great. Again, my motto is always just bite the bullet and get the whole DVD pack, or VHS pack, whichever applies. I put that baby on my credit card and it is probably the only thing I charged on a card that I DID NOT regret!!!

Running may not be a problem for you. You can start out slow and build up. If it hurts your knees, back off. Once you build up some strength in the surrounding musculature, I am sure you will find it will be much easier.

I personally emailed you, so I will talk to you later..

Thank you Janice for answering me. I am going to order today. I did start back running yesterday. Ive got to get moving. You have been here for awhile, do you really get these great results with these videos or do you think you have to go to the gym?
Susan:)

Hi Janice,

I was just wondering why you suggested the Powerstrike Mil 1 and 2 but not 3. Is it because it is more advanced? I am interested in more kickboxing workouts and I consider myself to be at the intermediate/advanced level. The Powerstrike workouts sound intriguing...Thanks for any info/suggestions :).
